Get up clean my tool then bring a warm wet wash cloth to my lover.

Slappie, I just got an idea! Put a black cat in your shorts and light it's tail on fire! Now THAT ought to get ya motivated!

Mike, Maybe try some RW, it may rejuvenate your passion for the sport. I agree about SDD. I quit for 2 yrs. when I just started the sport after 4 AFF jumps but for different reasons before I bought gear. 4 yrs. later, I couldn't be more pleased that I returned with a passion. Go with your heart but I recommend not selling your gear right off the bat!

Absolutly no sympathy, you should have been at the ballunar festival last weekend even though the weather sucked, 1 jump saturday,4 sunday!

Flying In To Ontario for Sequential Record Ride!
jumperconway replied to jumperconway's topic in The Bonfire
I'm flying into Ontario airport on 9-15 for the sequential record at Perris and looking for a ride! Any volunteers? Going back the 20th. -

Do you consider yourself a "statistic"?? Yes! A very good statistic!

Skydiving is inherently dangerous yet statistically safe, how's that?

Photos from Texas State Record Attempts Posted...
jumperconway replied to jdhill's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
All the wackers leave tracking at approx 6500' and don't deploy until 2300'. That's tracking a l o n g way away, subsequent waves each leave 500' later than the previous wave and deploy approx 500' higher so the deployment "should" be somewhat like an umbrella shape. Hope that clarifies a little. -
Haven't got it yet, Skyfest?

2004 Mercury Mountaineer, I don't think so, both rigs.

What makes you want to go to a boogie?
jumperconway replied to Rdutch's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Yep. And thats what draws me to a good boogie. For me, in my small expericence, Espace ranks way up there because of that. High quality LOs, a great caliber of jumpers that are split into appropriate groups. My seconds time there, we wewre doing 6-8 point 16-20 ways. Thats what I want in a boogie. Now 6-8 pt 40ways and I'm all over it! -
What makes you want to go to a boogie?
jumperconway replied to Rdutch's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
You don't need a boogie for this, just a good dz with good jumpers/organizers. Sinse our regular organiser is busy practing for nationals alot of the year, I started organizing at my DZ. I think it is real important to work with the newwer belly fliers or they'll get bored with not improving or getting on some good challenging dives and will just start freeflying. Carbonezone was an organizer at my dz when I first came back to the sport and was kind of an inspiration for the newwer jumpers to learn from. -
Hey Jimbo, Steve lookin to expand?

Learning to swoop? Then....
jumperconway replied to jdfreefly's topic in Swooping and Canopy Control
I landed a velocity 111 with no flare at all...none....I just whacked right into the ground. People running out thought I was dead, or worse. Do you have some explanation for just not flaring? DOH! -
Sorry for your loss. Like someoneelse said, he died livin with a zest for life. There's no speed limit in heaven. May he rest in peace. BSBD

Yea Mar, hope in 1 hand and don't show in the other and see what happens........missed ya! We actually only had 10 attempts, 1 plan B 20 way from each plane and 1 round trip flight! knife started getting sharp Saturday. Good news, only injury that I'm aware of was a door strike in my plane that caused a slight concussion and some serious bruising on the upper arm, sat out Satuday and returned for the 2 jumps Sunday. No cypres fires or reserve rides or other injuries other than pride.

I know people with thousands of jumps that never have and never would jump a X-braced canopy. Personally I switched around 1000 jumps. Plus side they fall out of the sky and will dive like no tomorrow with an amazing amount of flair, downside, they fall out of the skylike no tomorrow! Sucks to not be in the first group exiting. I pull higher than anyone in my group and have to constantly watch for traffic below because even with only one turn before setting up I've usually passed up everyone unless they pull in the basement or spiral down! Pack volume on the Xaos 27's is huge but it's a sweet canopy. The openings are a little better on th Xaos 21 which is one of the best opening canopies that I've ever jumped.

To The Friends Who Have Followed My Friend And Dentist Demise..
jumperconway replied to jumperconway's topic in The Bonfire
Ken Creamer was dealt a deadly blow doing what he loved, fishing. For those that followed the thread of my friend and dentist who died from the Vibrio bacteria which actually got national attention, such as our "incidents" that everyone else may learn from the mistakes of our brothers. The Houston Chronicle has a guest book available for you to put your input in to let the family know that this touched lives not only on a local basis but nationwide! I was unavailable for the funeral today but toasted my friend in ernest tonight with our friends. It took me 45 minutes to write my tribute in the guest book because I kept having to walk away. For those in the know, please let my friends family know that you were made aware of either the issue or that you became an internet friend by default in following my updates. Thanx to everyone that gave me support in my times of trouble and God bless! Blue oceans my brother Ken and smooth sailing! http://www.legacy.com/houstonchronicle/Guestbook.asp?Page=Guestbook&PersonID=2517557 -
