Anyone want to host our video? I've seen a lot of vids up lately, but our servers don't have the bandwidth to host it. It's 9.6 meg. I tried skydivingmovies.com but it doesn't seem to be up. Thanks, Oh, hello again!

When I first started, I went out there with my pops and I made 77 jumps in 7 days. That was dope. That was when I had more cash though! Oh, hello again!

Tunnel Time Available Jan 15... maybe more

Due to some scheduling conflicts, we've got at least 1 40 minute block of time available in the Orlando tunnel on January 15th between 12AM and 7AM. email me at trent@spacelandanomaly.com if you're interested. Oh, hello again!

From seeing you land the 190 before your injury, I'd think that would be a fine canopy after you "re-downsize" to it when you're all healed up. Judging by your past canopy control (yes, I watched you a few times), you were definitely doing well enough to handle the 190. Just don't jump in shady wind conditions... :) Oh, hello again!

Yeah... Juliana, Fabian, and Joao are the bomb... that's why we hire them to be primary coaches for our Anomaly camps. While we do a good deal of freefly coaching at home, we don't have tons of hours in the tunnel, so we don't feel it's legit for us to charge people for our coaching in the tunnel.... yet. We're working on that now, but we feel like we can wait till we have more tunnel time before we pass ourselves off as "tunnel" coaches... it just makes sense. Oh, hello again!

Freeflying in the tunnel IS a bit different than being on a skydive. In a skydive, you have no immediate reference of how you might be moving... think you're falling down the tube? Think again. The tunnel has walls that will let you know ASAP that you need to work on holding your position. The windspeed is also different, you are limited to a speed that the tunnel can create for you, BUT that is a good thing too. It overemphasizes using all your surface controls to accomplish hovering, turns, fall rate, etc. The only thing that is a skydive is a skydive, but the tunnel is a learning tool (and fun as hell!) that will quickly bring out any problems with your flying that need to be worked on. People from our last camp have made HUGE improvements in the air since the camp, and they've all said that they can directly correllate their tunnel time learning with their skydives. And there you have it... Oh, hello again!

http://www.cnn.com/2003/US/South/12/20/gore.son/index.html Not that I'm a fan of Al 2's, but see Dem's kids can act like... uh... well... kids, too. So maybe people will lay off using the kid's actions to make judgements about the parent, like so many here did with Bush. Oh, hello again!

If we're done with our AFF course, Jed, Stevie and I will be around. Jed usually does a lot of weekend organizing. See you here! Oh, hello again!

Actually there were a lot of Canadian troops in Vietnam, alongside the US, Koreans, Aussies... But I guess most people only consider it an invasion when they're talking about US troops. Oh, hello again!

Who was the hard landing Santa in Houston?
Trent replied to chuckakers's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Yeah, it was a downwinder. Not too many options when you're long, and you're landing on top of a parking garage and the only outs are a freeway and a mall parking lot on the busiest shopping day of the year. No one was hurt, and the kids were loving it anyway. Oh, hello again! -

Did you get dumped by your girlfriend/boyfriend who either is from Texas or left you to go there? I'm sorry if that's the case, but it looks like they made a good decision. I really hope you're not jealous that a lot of Texans have something to be proud of, and that's being Texan. I guess I understand though, what are Californians proud of? The entertainment industry? HA! Oh, hello again!

Actually, you can't have an open container anymore. Lotsa talk with little fact so far. I just love that Texas is such a fascination with people who don't know about it. Oh, hello again!

Anomaly "Insomnia" Tunnel Camp #2: DETAILS!!!
Trent replied to Trent's topic in Events & Places to Jump
Okay, the 2nd Anomaly Insomnia Tunnel Camp is ready to go! We have tunnel time reserved for January 15, 16, and 17. The total cost for the camp is $1,852 per person, which includes all coaching fees, tunnel time, ground transportation, and hotel for 3 nights. Hotel rooms are double occupancy, unless you want to pay extra for your own room. All coaching will be done by Juliana & Fabian Raidel and Joao Tambor... with occasional coaching from us (Anomaly) if needed. You will need to provide your own transportation to/from Orlando. As of now, we have 6 student slots available. If those fill up and people still want to attend... we will try to snag some extra time. The costs are the same. Just to make sure that you know you're getting your money's worth here, compare this camp cost to the standard camps you've seen advertised. They START at $1100 for ONE hour, with no accomodations. Our camp is 2 full hours of coached, 1 on 1 tunnel time spread over 3 nights. You will have a great time, all of our attendees last year did! We ask that you pay half of the camp cost to reserve your slot. This is so we can guarantee that we have all the tunnel time we need, and also to guarantee that we aren't stuck with a HUGE bill if someone backs out last minute! Please don't hesitate to email with any questions. I can be reached at trentalkek@yahoo.com. Hope to see you soon! Oh, hello again! -
He's just talking shit and you know it. Nothing is more important to that guy than his money. Him "saying" that he'd give up his billions to see Bush out of office is just a way to get attention for his pet cause. Do you really think he would do it?? No way in hell. It'd be funny if he put it in writing, all official-like, then Bush stepped down. I wonder how much legal wrangling he'd do to get out of it. Just another rich dude talkin shit, and you know it. Oh, hello again!
-
Did I miss where he officially offered to give up all his money to have Bush removed from office? Oh, that's right... he's full of it. Am I rich? Nope, not even close... but I get taxed close to 40% of what little I make... I'll take a tax cut thanks. If I'm in your category of "tax cuts for the rich" you've got a warped sense of reality. Oh, hello again!
-
Typical, complain about a situation and then fail to see all the reasoning behind how we got where we are in the first place. So you're telling me you wouldn't be whining about Bush if he hadn't gone into Iraq. Oversimplification of what I said is a piss poor way to argue a point. You know what I mean by what I said and dodged the larger point. Typical. Oh, hello again!
-
Kiss and hug him all you want, but buying someone out of office isn't democracy. Lotsa rich people are democrats, what do they care about increased taxes? 50% of billions is still billions. Just another dude with money making his opinion heard because the media listens when rich famous people talk. Nothing new and exciting here. Hi drew. Oh, hello again!

All of us have the benefit of hindsight so we can make our own judgements about the shoulda-woulda-coulda's. To judge someone's decisions when you have the ability to see how they played out is ridiculous. Kinda like reading all the alternatives in a "Choose Your Own Adventure" book, then saying, "well, I woulda picked the right path anyway." Come on. A leader has to believe in the people that work for him. He has to trust information that is delivered to him. Is it possible that our intelligence agencies, after some Clintonian budget cuts, didn't have the resources to 100% confirm all info? Is that completely Bush's fault? Would the whiners support legislation to greatly increase funding for our intelligence efforts so that we can be 100% sure of all info before any president decides what to do with it? No, that would be giving too much power to big-brother, wouldn't it? Well, it seems Bush is damned if he does and damned if he doesn't. If you honestly think that all the Bush-Bashers would be content and happy had Bush only chosen to follow their urgings, you're clearly deluded. They'd still be bitching. Oh, hello again!

Small or aggressive canopy, no experience, grounded.
Trent replied to Jimbo's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Well, someone could always start a poll that puts that into consideration... Yes, Regulation=good, -
Censorship! Conspiracy! Evil Reagan! Great Satan!! Rich Guys Holding Us Down!! Come on. The movie probably sucked and walked on some pretty thin ice. Last I heard, it wasn't just conservatives who were not happy about it. But hey, at least you have something to talk about, right? The funniest thing is... I've read a few biographies on Reagan, and 2 of them were written by someone who clearly didn't think he was the greatest guy. I found all the things the authors didn't like about Reagan to be some of the things I admired most about the man. The only thing a dodgy movie like this will do is piss off the people that disagree with it, and fire up the people that do agree with it. Oh and it isn't censorship... you can always go to showtime and watch it. I hear they need some ratings. Oh, hello again!
