I had the opportunity to freefly with Eliana last week. Not only is she truly THE sky goddess, but she is honestly one of the most congenial,gracious people I have had the pleasure of knowing. This past week-end was a real eye opener for me as I listened to some of the comments made by some of our skydiving family members toward some of the professional packers. Not only did they get treated badly by some, but they worked really long hours in 103 degree temperature. I heard one fella tell a packer that the opening was "unaceptable".......so she had someone else pack it the next time. That one wasn't "acceptable" either. Little did the gentleman know, that these are the packers for some of the top teams in this country. They give the same quality packs regardless of who you are. Furthermore, We are responsible for our lives, not the packer, they just afford us the opportunity to jump again. So,if you are jumpin junk ..........don't blame the packer. Don't treat them with such careless disregard! These people work long and hard for thier money.......TIP them too they deserve it! Ultimately, this same packer one day,might just be one of the best skydivers this nation has to offer. I've seen it posted here........be careful whose toes you step on, you may be kissing their a$$ one day. I offer that perhaps it would serve well to remember, that they are our family and treat them as such. To all of the packers out there........I salute you and thank you for your service. Cheers! awe geez.......must I tell eveything? The doohickeys are classified with the noseeums. The cluck cluck switches only work if the doohicky is attatched to the widget via the thingamabobs thingamajig and the nooseeum just sits there for asthetic puposes.I think.........I haven't actually seen one.....yet.although Lummy has said he has seen one and assures me that they work right beside the yubawazzees. ass and let it thump there for awhile! IT's 1:25 am and this is the 4th time Iv'e not slept because the yahoo next door insists on playing the SAME friggin music . I hear this.......thump, thump,thump,thump,high base no change in the beat....techno stuff...........over and over and over. Not only that but at 6:00 am it starts all over again only LOUDER. I have been a nice, helpful neighbor,watered his palm trees, collected his mail.....but will he turn down his music? No! Next time his asks for a massage.........I just might give him one.......with tiger balm that "accidently" gets on places that it shouldn't! I'm sure that if you were to ask Clay he could sort it all out for you. His Mother's cousin's boyfriend's sister's grandpa invented them down south somewhere in 1863. OK so I sat watching the big way yesterday (yeah damn hot too) People friggen landing every direction.danger Will Robinson DANGER! Then I spot her! No, she has no clue as to what I look like..I sit and I watch, I wait, she's workin........it's getting too damn hot to sit here so I decide that I will track her down at the bar later. Surely she will be there dancing on the table tops! I stroll over to the Bent Prop around 7ish........she is't there! I can't believe it! She must be in bed already cause man they put them through the paces! I saw the boss lady leave (Kate C).nope she isnt with her Wohooooooooo SkyBytchI go yellin through the parking lot waving frantically but to no avail there's no one there.*sigh* I go home feeling deflated..... Will be interesting to see what today brings! I'll continue to lurk and let you know when I finally catch up with Lisa. Here's the scoop. M Hougue has purchased the DZ and has contracted to use SDA's aircraft. There are lot's of rumors flying everywhere. There are lots of details to be worked out but some of SDA staff have been at the DZ naking some "modifications". Will keep you updated as things unfold. FYI Skydive Oregon is in the process of buliding a 200 X 60 swooping pond. Skydive Az is also building a swooping pond that will be the length of the main landing area and have an "L" shape configuation....this swooping pond is classified as (an agriculture watering pond! LOL) But 4000 windmills CAN'T be wrong!
