Throwing out the race card huh. Is that supposed to make me run scared? If you're going to use that then I'll have to start calling you a Communist Pinko Liberal. OK, let's talk about profiling. It was used to find Dahmer, Bundy, and JW Gacy. It is used successfully every day to find suspects in kidnapping cases. If an abortion clinic is blown up and you have no suspects and no evidence how are you going to narrow the suspects? Should you start with 90 year old ladies in wheel chairs or white male christian fundamentalists? Somehow I don't think you would have a problem with that type of profiling would you. Lets don't get stupid with our tree hugging Bill. Profiling has its place. Don't imply that I am racist when you really don't have a clue what you are talking about. Oh god, I'm glad it's not just me. I usually find it in my other hand after searching for it for 2-3 minutes and asking a friend where it is. "Any fool can criticize, condemn and complain and most fools do." Ben Franklin -
That's great. I'm torn between the pig and the lion. Here are some questions that might help my decision: 1. Is pig sex limited to once a day or can he have multiple events? 2. Is lion sex all with the same lion? 3. How long does a lion orgasm last? (I'm thinking if each is a minute long then he has the pig beat.) Just pondering. Muslim male extremists mostly between the ages of 17 and 40 9. In 1998, the U.S. embassies in Kenya and Tanzania were bombed by: a. Mr. Rogers b. Hillary, to distract attention from Wild Bill's women problems c. The World Wrestling Federation d. Muslim male extremists mostly between the ages of 17 and 40 10. On 9/11/01, four airliners were hijacked and destroyed and thousands of people were killed by: a. Bugs Bunny, Wiley E. Coyote, Daffy Duck and Elmer Fudd b. The Supreme Court of Florida c. Mr. Bean d. This isn't entirely correct. The Wahabbi tradition is actually a subset of the Sunni sect. The Sunni Wahabbi sect originated in Saudi Arabia but they no longer follow its original teachings entirely. Wahabbi teachings, among others, are that all other sects of Islam practice idolatry, no Christian or Jew should be allowed to set foot on the holy land (Arabian Peninsula), and Jihad should be waged against infidels. Bin Laden and the Taliban follow the Wahabbi teachings to the letter. Since we (the US) have troops in the holy land he has declared Jihad against us. The Saudis have not. This really isn't true either. The originators of the suicide bombing were the Shi'ites. The Sunnis were historically against terrorism until the Isrealis started pushing them around in Lebanon. The Sunni Wahhabi sect is currently mostly attacking US interests. All other terrorist attacks are made up of regular Sunnis and Shi'ites. This is true but a little misleading in how it is written. Iraq claimed Kuwait based upon historical rights to the land. We did not give him our blessing to attack Kuwait and take it by force. I've never heard this before. Can you explain a little further? Where did you get this information from? The US does not sell nerve agent even to our allies. I also never knew that Iraq killed any Kurds with nerve agent. All of the reports I read cited blood and blister agents but no nerve agents. When attacking civilians nerve agent would be overkill and a waste of an expensive weapon. I attached a copy of a blister agent victim from the Kurd attacks. Nerve gas causes no burns. Why are you ignoring the threats that Iraq poses to our soldiers and interests overseas? What about the attempted assassination of the first President Bush by terrorists supported by Iraq in the early 90s? Take a look at this site and see if you can come up with another reason. http://www.iraqfoundation.org/hr.html Oil definitely has a lot to do with it. Oil powers our nation, our economy, and our military. It is extremely important. The Saudi government is at least trying to be our allies. The problem with the Saudi government is that they are scared to death of their own population. They are not going to force the Wahabbi Clerics to shut up because they would risk terrorism in their own country. The Saudis have to be handled differently than Iraq. If we can get what we want from them without going to war then why attack them. I don't think the Saudis are great allies but I also don't think we should go to war with them. Their government is not sponsoring or supporting terrorism like the Taliban was and Iraq is. Some of the royal family has sent personal donations to terrorists and some have also sent personal donations to the US. They are a touchy subject. My God Bill. Your cynicism and hatred of the US government is a direct slap in my face. I have spent over 13 years of my life working for the US government. The most kind hearted, selfless, dedicated people I have ever met work for that government. I'm talking Democrats and Republicans. I have met very few people in the government that are there to get rich or powerful. If they are their to get rich they are just stupid. I currently work with people who took pay cuts of $50 - $60 grand a year in order to do a job that they feel needs to be done. They do it because it is the right thing to do. I met more money grubbing sleeze balls who cared only for themselves in my 1.5 years in the civilian life than I ever have in the government. The US is not perfect. No country is perfect. You criticize decisions by people and have no idea the circumstances they were in while making these decisions. It is the classic college professor syndrome. Why don't we all sit around a camp fire and sing kumbaya. I'm sure the terrorists will all lay down their weapons and realize they are wrong just like the Nazis, the North Koreans, the Japanese, and so on. War is not the answer to everything but there is a time when it is the only option. I've always believed that the poorest person in the world is the one who believes his life is so important that he is unwilling to die for anything. You strike me as that kind of person. ROFLMAO, I've got to write that one down! That is the best explanation I've heard so far. The 9th Circus, errr I mean Circuit Court has been the genesis of a majority of the criminal loving precedents in the justice system. Didn't some town in California hold a local vote and vote against attacking Afghanistan? When is that town going to secede? "Any fool can criticize, condemn and complain and most fools do." Actually it does a lot of good. The threat of invasion has brought Hussein to the table. He knows that he can't win a conventional war with us. If we can get weapons inspectors back in it will drastically reduce his ability to develop WMDs in the short term. An invasion by US forces is not the optimal solution but the other solutions will take a large amount of time. Keeping inspectors in Iraq will give us the time to pursue these other options ie internal coups, destabilization efforts. We're not going to get the support we need from the UN because of the Arab states. They will support Iraq, even though they are scared to death of him, just because he is an Arab state. Too many other countries, Russia and France, are economically tight with Iraq and will also fight any attempt to destabilize the country. They will do this despite the security risks that Iraq poses to the US and other Western nations. It basically comes down to our interests are different from theirs. "Any fool can criticize, condemn and complain and most fools do." Ben Franklin

Come on! You know as well as anyone that the objective before the Gulf War was to ONLY push Iraq out of Kuwait. It was one of the agreements that Bush reached with the Arab nations in order to get them to support the war. It is well documented. Go check it. "Any fool can criticize, condemn and complain and most fools do." Ben Franklin

This must have been a different war than the one I remember. We attacked Iraq with the clear objective of pushing Iraq out of Kuwait. We actually stopped the ground invasion after pushing them out of Iraq and making their military completely ineffective against us. There was no objective to stop terrorism, capture Bin Laden, or get Hussein as you put it. Wars with different objectives are fought differently. The military completed every objective placed on them during the Gulf War. There is not one all inclusive type of war that solves every problem. I agree that weapons inspections should be tried first. I also believe that the main reason for all of the saber rattling by the Bush administration is to force Hussein to get off his butt and abide by the UN resolutions he has been ignoring since the mid 90s. Hussein is pulling the same crap that Hitler did after WWI. The Allies placed all types of restrictions on his ability to field a military, then we felt sorry for him and ignored his abuses. Eventually, WWII. We can't let Hussein continue to ignore the UN resolutions. BTW, the UN is useless. It's nice to have them on our side for PR but they haven't done anything for us lately. Mr. Bill, I think you are missing some information concerning Mr. Padilla. This is a story that I found on a BBC news site: He apparently dropped out of view after leaving the US in 1998. This, officials say, was when he first visited Afghanistan. Norma Leon, the Padilla family's former landlady, told the Chicago Sun-Times that Mr al-Muhajir's mother was worried because her son had left the country and become a member of a cult. "She was scared for him," Ms Leon told the newspaper. In 2001, officials say, he made contact with Abu Zubaydah, a senior al-Qaeda commander who is in American custody and apparently co-operating with the FBI. Al-Qaeda, the US authorities allege, asked Mr Padilla to go to Lahore in Pakistan, where he learnt how to make a dirty bomb. In Karachi, Pakistan, he is alleged to have met several other al-Qaeda members. Officials have not said whether these meetings took place before or after the 11 September attacks on the US. On 8 May 2002, he was arrested after flying into Chicago's O'Hare airport from Pakistan, for what the US authorities say was a reconnaissance mission. Now, we have a US citizen who was found in a plot to attack the US while serving in a foreign terrorist organization. You believe that he should have been allowed to continue his mission until the government had enough evidence, beyond a reasonable doubt, to take him to court. Didn't we work against terrorists like that before 9/11? In investigative terms that is called reactive investigations. It means you will solve the case after the crime. Are you willing to continue to solve these terrorist cases after the attack? I will remind you that the information the FBI is working from comes from Abu Zubaydah, the third in command of Al Qaeda. I know that it kills you that you are not getting 100% of the information and evidence against Padilla. The government must not consider you to be in a 'need to know' position. I'll draft a letter and inform them that you are not the average "American", you have traveled, and expect to be briefed on these types of decisions in the future. By the way, read this amendment (number 5 if you are wondering): Take a close look at the bolded portion. Looks like this isn't a constitutional violation huh. You won't get most of the evidence against them until after the trial. It is protected by the Federal Grand Jury Rules and is a violation of the subject's rights to disclose. If they have been indicted I'll guarantee that there is alot of evidence against them. "Any fool can criticize, condemn and complain and most fools do." Ben Franklin

Man, have we not been threatened? Haven't you seen the news stories where there are terrorist training camps in Iraq? Many intelligence analysts believe that Saddam had a very heavy hand in the attacks on 9/11. You are not going to get the overt attacks that you are looking for. These guys learned to disassociate themselves from the attacks when Reagan almost killed Khadafi after one of his terrorist attacks. If you are waiting for the smoking gun then you are going to be disappointed. "Any fool can criticize, condemn and complain and most fools do." Ben Franklin
