Newsmax and OANN...what happened when the monster Fox created became too big for its cage.
-
God-Dammit Ron I watched about 30 seconds of that and my brain hurt from the hoops that narrative was trying to make me jump through. Think a little bit for Christ's sake! You think Chavez ever went to the trouble of an elaborate vote-manipulating machine? Of course not: he just lied and said that he won by ridiculous margins...And because of a lack of technology to prove otherwise, he pretty much steam-rolled the actual results. Assuming that this technology ever was baked in to voting machines, you think the US would just blindly roll this out to the masses? Every fucking time with this tin-foil dipshits on Fox, "we have amazing, concrete evidence and I can't wait to share it at some point in the future". If there was a shred of evidence it would be VERY public by now. But there's not, so we see Kelly M holding up a stack of 'affidavits' and ladies like this promising that the evidence is coming soon.
-
I suppose some dipshit on the Interwebs is laughing at how much he's able to convince people to believe crazy shit.

I don't mean this as a dig on you too badly, but when I was driving in this morning it struck me as a quintessentially American response to say "You mean I should go through the minor inconvenience of wearing a mask, washing my hands and paying attention to my surroundings!?!?!? Fuck that, just give me an unproven injection!"

Hell, he gets to play victim, continue riling up his base AND swindle them of more $$$ to pay his campaign debts. If that's not a trump Tri-fecta then I dunno what is: https://www.cbsnews.com/news/trump-campaign-legal-defense-donations-debt/

I wonder if he still thinks this was funny
-
The longer his one-track mind is focused on the current hissy-fit, frivolous claims of fraud and various other election-related tom-fuckery, the less time he'll be spending fucking shit up on his way out the door.

Rocket scientists are infamously part of the DS.

When Q dropped those notes to you, did they also drop the slightest fucking hint of evidence?

Mostly in Ciudad Ojeda, working on Lake Maracaibo, and I spent a bit of time in El Tigre and Anaco. What about him?

Canadian/Venezuelan/Texan Oil man....A beer and jump would gladly be on me! Hopefully there will be fewer explosions in the new job...Also, fewer testy conversations with TSA when coming back from field work covered in residue.

The industry is hurting right now. I've spend the last 19+ years in oil and gas, the last 3 specifically in US shale. I work for a company that makes explosives they use to make holes in the casing that then allows the frac crew to pump their fluid through those holes into the formation. I design electronics to set off those explosives. The past 9 months have been brutal. The frac fleet count is starting to tick up, but I think the good 'ole days are long behind us. There are too many idle trucks and too many idle hands right now, and companies are willing to do work at cost or even at a loss just to grab a tiny fraction of what little market there is left to share. All the VC that pumped money into US shale when it looked like they had a license to print money aren't getting the returns they'd expected. Then there's also the shadow that if somehow demand were to pick back up to a point that somewhat resembled where we were at a year ago, the Russians and Saudis could just pull out the same play they ran back in Q1 and put the squeeze on US producers. Of the remaining skeleton crew at my company, a lot of people are talking about 'how things are going to be when it picks back up'. I just put in my notice, and in a couple weeks I'll be starting with a company making green tech. I've had a good run in oil, met some awesome people and I've worked on downhole tools in 10 different countries. Oil isn't going anywhere anytime soon, and for all I know I may be back in the industry in a couple of years, but for now I'm going to be putting my skills and efforts, small as they may be, to an alternative.

It was more of a Tenacious D reference than a critique of The Time Warp: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=VSr7xLQ8H2A

That’s pretty good....It’s certainly not the greatest song in the world, though.

I'm going to go with 'E - All of the above'.

I don't disagree, but if people were considering consequences in the first place, and the consequence of their kid being dead didn't make them second-guess their gun storage in the first place, the prospect of jail probably ain't gonna make them reconsider.

Here's a link to a podcast discussing this same history in case anybody's interested: https://gimletmedia.com/shows/science-vs/brhv724/hunting-an-invisible-killer

Equal Rights, Equal Responsibilities. No More, No Less
lippy replied to winsor's topic in Speakers Corner
What an original idea...build a wall to keep brown people out and refer to it as justice! -
It really ties the room together

And apparently it's not just the parents...in some cases they're not even sure where the kids are at!

Here's a quick blurb from their site regarding the head of Mercola: Looks like you're digging to some pretty obscure/sketchy corners of the Interwebs to find obscure/sketchy content to back up what you've already decided.

I've been a US citizen for 13 months, just voted for the first time ever (I left Canada in 2003 and had never voted there as I was too young/disinterested in politics).
