  1. That's $120 Canadian -$30 to ship it regular post. Which I still thought was a little steep I got nuthin
  2. Well, tonight I finally got my family's gifts wrapped, boxed, and ready to go. So I go to the post office to get it in the mail to the other side of the country, and it'll be over $120 to have it there on Tuesday. Quite a bit more than I'd thought, but it's Xmas, they've gotta be there. So I suck it up over the thought of 4 jumps in AZ pissed away cause I was late finishing shopping, and hand her my card. 'Sorry sir, our debit is down'. The only other option that fit the cash in my wallet was 9 working days, and the place was closing in 5 minutes. It wasn't gonna be there by Xmas anyways so I went with the 9 days, which means my family's stuff won't be there untill after New Years, and half of them won't even be in the same province that day!!! I got nuthin
  3. And the rain in Spain Falls mainly on the planes I got nuthin

Thanks guys. I saw Jessica's post earlier too, but I thought "Lasik, WTF is Lasik" and didn't bother to look. I got nuthin
  5. I've never been there either, but I just don't like the idea one bit. Give'm their own forum, next thing you know they're gonna want equal pay and the right to vote [Ducks for cover]jokin, just jokin[/Ducks for cover] I got nuthin

    Laser eye surgery

Anybody gotten it, looked into it, know how much it costs? I'm getting sick of glasses and contacts, and am considering this, but don't know a damb thing about it. Do you??????????? I got nuthin
  7. Skydivers+shitty weather+beer=recipe for disaster!!!!Not to mention the addition of flammable materials I got nuthin
  8. We've got an old PC attached to the barrow part of a wheel-barrow. That ain't fun unless it's real windy though. If the weather doesn't allow that, there's always potatoe gun accuracy. Just don't forget to take the plungers out. It's funny seeing a long line of skydivers scouring the landing area for the broom stick used to pack the potatoe in I got nuthin
  9. Poor guy...I bet he was just trying to spread some Christmas cheer. Clay, next time try dressing up as one of the three wise men. You can draw less attention that way...Or, so I would think. Yeah that's it, purely speculation on the wise man tip I got nuthin

Maybe it's the Xmas spirit pickin you up. I can relate to your situation, and this time of year sometimes puts a smile on my face even when I gots nothin to smile about. Just a thought. I hope your situation gets better, and your spirits stay high
  12. Ummmm, I assume it was filmed a few months ago. Or all the participants are in France with the millionare I got nuthin
  13. Me too, but it's Sunday night. New Simpsons. Ya gotta tune in I got nuthin
  14. Just saw this ad on Fox. A new show is coming out. 'Joe Millionare' will have 20 chicks competing to get this guy who's worth $50 million...Or so they think. He actually makes $19000 a year. I won't watch it cause I hate reality shows. Except maybe the last episode, when the 'winner' learns the truth. That should be good for a laugh I got nuthin
  15. I'd go on one serious bender. Then use what's left to go south and go on another bender. Whatever's left goes for jumps I got nuthin
  16. 0(damb, that number hasn't changed in way too long:1 jump Saturday:0 I got nuthin

  19. ...You weren't scared to use the word 'first' in relation to yourself ...You thought that somebody who'd done 100 skydives musta been best in the best skydiver in the world I got nuthin

    Priceless

Cab to Greyhound station: $10 Round trip from Red Deer to Edmonton: $60 Bus from Edmonton to Saint Albert: $3 Hitch-hiking from St. Albert to DZ: free Having shitty luck hiking and showing just in time to take the last slot on the sunset load: free Solo from 7 grand: $18 Total cost of transport and 1 skydive: $91 Skydiving in Northern Alberta in December: Priceless I got nuthin
  21. You take that back RIGHT NOW!!!!!!! I got nuthin
  22. I did my first hundred on student gear. Bought a rig this year and did 109 over the season. Jump with gear rental = $65. Just for a slot = $26. 65-26=$39 saved per jump. $39x109= $4251 saved b/c of gear. Gear is an investment, and not a cheap one at that. But if you stick with the sport, it will pay for itself. And, it's probably a lot more fun than student gear too Oh, I started when I was 18 I got nuthin
  23. Nice rack..I mean pic. I'm sure the other ones weren't too bad either. So did she get her tandem for cheap or what. I got nuthin
  24. Most people figure I'm at least 25. Usually pretty shocked to learn I'm only 21. Started jumping at 18, always felt like the youngin on the DZ. Now some of the jumpers are startin to look young to me I got nuthin
  25. It sure as hell ain't cheap. But there are ways to make it cheaper...ie: pack student gear. By the end of my first season I could flat pack a Manta with my eyes closed. And one good thing about living up north, is that the off-season gives an opportunity to save $ for things you need for next season: New Cypres, canopy, line-set, car or maybe just a plane ticket south I got nuthin
