ahem.... I gues mine is at 1.83, but the bottom end flare is jsut as good on the 2 as the one which is very powerful... also anything else good said about it I would probably believe as I love mine.... -yoshi _________________________________________ this space for rent.

look at my sig dude. I am half japanese. I dont speak the language or anything, but the kanji means blade or sword in the context that it is being used... it is mere speculation on my part but because there is a big "K" cut into the page I would say katana, hell for all I know they can call it a watsubashi (which would in my eyes be more suited for a pocket rocket)... apart from the "K" cut into the page it could mean blade, sword, knife, sharp glass, whatever. -yoshi _________________________________________ this space for rent.

Thats what I would say.. the most common at my dz is to do it right off exit with 4 people and try to get the "badmitten birdie" effect with your bodies... drive towards the center and it will make it a little easier. -yoshi _________________________________________ this space for rent.

just a quick question. I was wondering with the ratings and licences how long (if any period) can you have between taking a test or rating course before sending in the documents to get the licences or ratings. reason for asking: I took the coach course in may and I have not sent in the info yet to get the rating. does it expire or should I be ok for another week or so to send it in? -yoshi _________________________________________ this space for rent.

yeah, but it also means katana if in the correct context as stated before.. each kanji character can have several different meanings depending on the context... not that I am saying in this case it means katana, because the context would support blade or sword. ahh well I guess we will jsut have to wait and see -yoshi _________________________________________ this space for rent.

Just to let everyone know (I know it i short notice) but we are having a 4th of july bash weekend at SWC (skydive wayne county in richmond, in) jumps all weekend (including thurs night thru sun night) will be $17 to 13.5k (from what I understand.) Hope anyone can make it! I will be trying to organize some hybrid dives and everything else under the sun will be available (belly, rw, hybrid, freefly, some crew-provided some of the crew dogs are there, etc...) -yoshi _________________________________________ this space for rent.

I am moving to houston in early september and I am not the best freeflier in the world (nor near) but I can hold my own and I am definately willing o jump with newer ff-ers... I wasnt saying that kangi is what is said. kanji is the alphabet and where in english we have 26 letters in outs there are over 26 thousand kanji in the japanese "alphabet" yes the same kanji can mean many different things determined in which context it is used (kind of like there and thier, here and hear, two and to and too...etc) or more so like how we use cypres as an aad but to the lamen ear it may mean a tree. as far as the context goes, though, the ad has "cuts" in it and with the added knowledge of previous products we could assume that it would mean katana. just my 2 ones... -yoshi _________________________________________ this space for rent.

what I would do is look up the kangi in the bottom right hand corner of the ad and see what it means. also judging by the "cuts" in the add it is the letter "K" counld it posibly be a katana? -yoshi _________________________________________ this space for rent.

sounds like you had a good time... I would say this is a little off though.. even solos will help you with big way flying. anything and everything you do will help you. thats just my thoughts though -yoshi _________________________________________ this space for rent.

I certainly didnt mean the swoop lasted the whole mountain (as far as what we call a swoop) but the portion of flight over the ground... when blade running there are gates that sometimes take sharp turns to rach the next gate... if you are going streight down a mountain and rip a turn I garantee that it will not result ease free... if you are say 5 feet off the ground and rip a toggle turn you are actually going to traves about 15 feet down (because of your forawrd speed and the slope of the hill) and when you hit (since the slope is there) it will be more perpendicular to your flight rather than parallel (again because of the slope). trust me I am all for it, but I think people should have an excellent grasp on canopy flight before attempting it even with a lightly loaded canopy. -yoshi _________________________________________ this space for rent.

while I agree it is not the msot dangerous thing in the world I do believe it is more so than the averange landing. the problem lies where the swoop will last much longer and is close to the ground, so if mistakes are made there is a greater chance you will hit the ground. yeah it is soft snow in some places and it is on a slope, but if someone cuts a corner too fast it would be jsut like hooking into flat ground... never the less I would love to try it! -yoshi _________________________________________ this space for rent.

to my understading those are usually invite only deals because of the amount of danger involved. you could technically use any canopy depending on the degree of the slope. If anyone out there does know a place that allowes jumpers to do a little mountain swooping that would be pretty damn cool... although the amount of inexperienced people that would hurt, break, or kill themselves attempting it would probably make it difficult to find a place.... -yoshi _________________________________________ this space for rent.

correct me if I am wrong but the line length wouldnt make it "swoop" better, but dive longer and give it more speed as the pendulum effect (swinging back under the canopy) would take a bit longer hence making it dive a little more. -yoshi _________________________________________ this space for rent.
