I don't get what that has to do with what PhillyKev said. Kids are dying of heion and other drugs because parents are giving them the money and means to do it. example: there is a very well-to-do private school here and the big joke is the only thing the kids are learning there is how much an 8 ball costs. How many of you could afford an 8 ball when you were in high school and didn't work. Now, when I was in high school, cocaine was the furthest thing from my mind, granted I smoked some pot on occasion in high school but my $6.00 a week allowance was going to let me make it a bad habit. flame away. Did your friend have the color swatches to pick from? I wouldn't order a suit without looking at the swatches. You can't pick the colors off a paper list. From what I've seen, a color at one company could be called something else at another. I think I've seen the color's you are referring to, and when I saw the swatches, they called it flo yellow and I thought it was more green. The company I order my jumpsuits from have always fixed the suit for free if sent back right away. Now, if you wear it for a while then send it back, you have to or at least should pay for "repairs or changes". I will gladly join your cause. I love carbs. I did this "Atkins" diet 18 years ago. It was great for a week or 2 but after that forget it. I can also do Slim Fast for a week or 2 to lose 5 pounds, but I love food too much to deny myself the quick happy fix I get from Carbs and candy. CARBS! CARBS! CARBS! Unless the student is self supervising, at least 1 jumpmaster better land with them. On my first AFF jump the clouds closed up too much for me to jump so the 2 JM's did rock paper sissors to see who had to ride the plane down with me. Like Clay said, some of that gave me a bit of a chuckle, but damn. That really really sucks. A few of us told you she was nuts a few months ago. It really bites how someone can just make up a story (my ex-sister-in-law did it many times to my brother) and the law just has to say okay you go to jail until we find out what's going on. Good luck on the court date and let us know what happens. Glad to see you kept all those fucked up phone calls. Speaking of helmets, I have a Protec with a ProDytter attached to it and I plan on carrying that onto the plane too - do you think the ProDytter will freak them out? The opened my helmet bag to look at my Protrac. I explained to the TSA guy what it was, he said fine, gave it back to me and sent me on my way. I just flew out of LAX a week and a half ago, checking my rig and had no problem. I have flown with my rig (checked) over 20 times and have never had a problem except in the beginning when I had my helmet in my gear bag and they (the airline) squished it and cracked the sh!t out of it. They wouldn't reimburse me because it was not in a hard case bag. Other than that, I've had not problems with the TSA or anyone. I've only shot 3 guns in my life and I would choose the AR15. It was lighter than the hand guns, and i was a better shot with it than the hand guns. But seriously, go to the gun safety shooting range place, learn to shoot and find out what you want after you know how. Good luck. Exactly. I also have not seen the movie, but why should this one be any different than other movies where people go out and do stupid shit. Examples The Program - "let's all go lay in the middle of the road cause it worked in the movie." Jackass the movie - need I say more. Basic Instinct - Knew a few homosexuals that would go see it because they HEARD it depicts homosexuals bad. People who can't think for themselve and are relying on the media to make up how they live their lives and what to think is really sad. Just give Spaceland a call and get signed up. The will give you all the information you need. Dropzones around the country have different training methods and pre-req's. So, if you hear that John Doe didn't have to do 2 tandems, its probably because he was trained elsewhere. It doesn't make it better at one place or another (although many here will debate that), but depending on their staff, airplanes, and/or student gear situation can depend on how you are trained. First off welcome to the world of skydiving. Some DZ's will let you go right to AFF at this point if they offer it. Some DZ's only have tandem progression. The military trains differently than the civilian world. It would great if every dz had a wind tunnel but only a few have one close by. You need to decide what dz you want to start your training at and what they require, call them and ask, they should be more than happy to answer your questions. The canopy course is for later. Class time depends on how well the student are "getting it". Some classes may take 4 hours some may take 6 or 7. Good luck!
