Way to go. That's awesome!

Wow. That's not something you see every day.

I took my first, first jump course from him in Tahlequah Oklahoma. What a character. I'll never forget him.

You are lucky you are getting comp time. If you are an exempt salaried employee, I'm pretty sure they don't have to give you anything. I don't get overtime pay or comp time. Wish I did.

A lesson I have learned the hard way: Always keep total separation between work and personal life. Don't even send an e-mail at work that contains personal opinions, personal information or anything that you would not want to be seen by everyone. That being said, I would be pretty put out that someone was snooping around like that.

So God is a Mormon. I guess that proves it!!

Appeals court fires back at Obama's comments on health care case
NewGuy2005 replied to bodypilot90's topic in Speakers Corner
their job is absolutely to ignore their personal and subjective ideologies and just focus on constitutionality (unless their personal ideology actually is "constitution" = "top priority") I don't think the constitution is a Ouija board, YMMV, but NOT if you are a SC Justice. That's the whole point. I absolutely admire any judge that can admit he has a personal objection to a ruling, but still does it because that's what the law says. (props for knowing how to spell weegee board too, BTW) Point taken, but one will have an "ideology" regarding the Constitution and its interpretation. I don't think it can be avoided. -

Eagles don't normally waddle and quack like ducks. Obama was right in one aspect, and that is the SC does allow politics and ideology into their decisions, otherwise it would not be a 5 to 4 vote it would be 7 to 2 or a 3 to 6 vote. They are there to uphold the constitution not party affiliation. To bad the justices have forgotten what their jobs are. Right, you should NEVER let your ideology affect your decision making. You should use a Ouija board. -

Eagles don't normally waddle and quack like ducks. We can count on you to respond in a consistent manner to "almost any issue with political implications." Does that make you a party hack? -

Nonsense. Do the SC Justices deal with lobbyists? Do they have constituents? Do they have to raise money from political donors in order to run for re-election? On your second point I think it would be more accurate to say... We can pretty much guarantee how 8 of the justices will vote on almost any issue with political implications, based on their own philosophical convictions which may be in alignment with the president who nominated them. You make them sound like party hacks. -
Eggs. Eggs are cheap sources of protein that will fill you up.

Please explain.

Last week, my wife and I went to San Antonio for a few days and had a great time. When we went, I did not intend to go to the Alamo, because I had been there when I was a kid. Well, it turns out that one of the high points of the trip was our visit to the Alamo. In the course of researching what to do while we were there, we were exposed to a little Texas history which piqued our interest. We went to the Alamo and took the "audio tour" which was very informative. Prior to this visit I did not know the significance of this battle and its impact on the revolution, and later, the course of the United States. If you are ever in San Antonio, I highly recommend that you visit the Alamo and take the time to learn about this historic place.

That balloon release looked pretty crazy.

I should have mentioned that I have been there already. No disrespect intended.

Whoa. I've always wanted to see one of those. Is there a museum?

Hey Texas Folks, My wife and I are going to San Antonio next week. We'll be staying on the River Walk. Right now, we are leaning away from renting a car. We'll be there Monday afternoon through Thursday morning. What are the things we should not miss? We are not that interested in the Alamo or the other missions. Nor are we into theme parks. Art museums are awesome. Food is awesome. Margaritas are awesome too. We can rent a car if needed. Suggestions?

Obamacare to cost $1.76 trillion over a decade, according to CBO.
NewGuy2005 replied to Lefty's topic in Speakers Corner
Because it, or some thing like it we can afford, is needed. The Senate should just trim out the fat and it would be good to go. Matt Now, that's funny! -
