Now if they were protesting for "The right to make their own health care decisions" maybe there would be an uproar. Both sides of this debate are guilty of obfuscation, but that term is the current "gold standard."

Read the book Hunting Warbirds. It's great. http://www.amazon.com/Hunting-Warbirds-Carl-Hoffman/dp/0345436180

Has anyone here done it one day? 26 miles is a long way, but it would be fun to do it without carrying all the camping gear. I suppose you could stay at Phantom Ranch to avoid that.

Here's a few easy examples, most of which are pretty painless: Don't drive any motor vehicle when your feet or a bicycle will do the job. I've been doing this and I've been surprised at how easy and enjoyable it has been.

We all need to kill ourselves. Great idea! You first. I would, but somebody's got to bury everyone.

No. When I got this job I made a point of not mentioning it. A few years later I told my boss. He then told me he would have never hired me if he had known. Not sure how serious he was, but he was not the adventurous type at all. If you can read that the guy would be impressed, let him know. If you can;t read him, keep it secret.

I had a PD 9 cell. It was sensitive to packing technique and was prone to very hard openings. One of which was so bad that I still feel it in my back 5 years later. It was also difficult to time the flare on landing. One good thing: It was easy to pack. I would not buy another one.

And we should never forget, because the carnage of that war must never be repeated. The losses in 1916 alone were just staggering. At the Battle of Verdun alone... (from Wikipedia) French military casualties at Verdun, in 1916, were officially recorded as 377,231, with 162,308 KIA or missing. Total German casualties at Verdun, between February and December 1916, were recorded as 337,000, with around 100,000 KIA or missing. Modern estimations increase the casualties to 542,000 men on the French side and 434,000 on the German one. The statistics also confirm that at least 70% of the Verdun casualties on both sides were the result of artillery fire. The shell consumption by French artillery at Verdun, between 21 February and 30 September at Verdun, totalled 23.5 million rounds. Most of them (16 million shells) were fired by the French 75 batteries which lined up about 1,000 guns (250 batteries) on the battlefield. German sources document that their own artillery, mostly heavy and super heavy, fired off over 21 million shells from February to September 1916 only.

I think you are having a little too much fun with all this.

Just finished reading A Tale of Two Cities and would like to learn more about the French Revolution. Can anyone recommend a good book on the subject?

That dude is awesome. -
You would have to be completely nuts to do this while your wife is pregnant. You will lose. Test the waters again in 5 or 6 years.

Pour bleach in the tunnels. It works pretty good.

But not the actual people that work there. This might be even more lame than your original post.

Didn't there used to be vineyards next to the landing area?

Let me guess: You used to get paid by the hour and now you are on salary.

Odd. I just heard an analyst on NPR say to expect fuel prices to drop toward the end of the year.

This is bullshit. These are not Wal-Mart employees and this is not a Wal-Mart "warehouse"
