Sure, nobody is arguing that, but you can pick up quite a few things that complete the knowledge, get technical input, debate technical issues, learn from the list, keep up with progress being made, hijack threads, , et caetera... You seem educated enough, so why do you find it easier to belittle someone rather than contribute with some of your knowledge? The bums will never win Lebowski, the bums will never win! ...Besides, it's really not that hard to get legal stuff. In that I mean there are so many good bands out there looking for exposure. One awesome french band called 'Trinitro' ('Pennywise' kind of stuff, perfect for BASE) were totally stoked when they saw some of the stuff we do to some of their music. In fact, Nick, I am still to send you a copy of the newer movie, this time with 'legal' music. Why can't you skydive? A buddy is just about completely deaf and is a senior rigger skydiver BASE jumper. If it's a balance thing, he has managed to compensate for all that. The bums will never win Lebowski, the bums will never win! Enfin j'ai trouvé: Bieeeen

A couple that fell out of my skydiving m.o.p's while I was reading them on the can. First is of Jeremy. Early morning getting ready to jump. This was at a time before he had a Norge girlfriend and started looking down on us slider off jumpers... The other is Erik or Al. All I recall from that evening is that I didn't get to jump because I wanted some shots from the bottom. This being the best of them, I should have rather jumped... Trace out the area you want to cut then use a thin blade like on the hobby saw. Cut to the inside of the line and then you can just clean up sanding by hand. Start with a 120 rolled like a cigar and go higher. you can use rubber trim in which case you don't really have to seal. You can get that in different auto/ auto spares stores or even a hardware. Use contact adhesive. Different trade names in different countries but pretty much the same powerful yellow stuff worldwide. If you really want to seal it, make a hot coat with polyester sanding resin or polyester laminating with some wax solution. Quick and easy using a resin paintbrush, and you shouldn't even really need pigment for colour. This of course is assuming the helmet is polyester otherwise it's epoxy but I doubt it. you can do all this in you r garage and you can wear a mask if you really want to. Are you tired of moderating or something? All you need to do in that case is hand in your resignation. It's really not that difficult. There is nothing gained in insulting the poor sod who started this thread. All you need to do is delete the thread and send him a pm. Not like you havn't done it before... deleting the thread part that is. Take a chill pill, buy a punching ball and hang it up in your garage. Nothing is certain indeed. I may reconsider that pledge some day. There were two threads going with the same sort of title. Was just having fun that's all. The last three or four years, I have had death around me in various forms more than ever in my life. Don't think that I don't realize what death looks like because I still get flashbacks. it's just that BASE to me is not about death and a little humor once in a while has never killed anyone (even if it's not that funny).

Sorry I assumed it was a manufacturer. Maybe but one manufacturer running a less obscure site already has it laid out, drawings and all without having to open a pdf, yet can it be said that more people are going it alone because of that? The answer to that, we don't really know but I still don't think it's necessarily a bad thing. Also for us people who are far far away from where all the advances are being made, the more info the better. The internet has been an awesome way of getting technical info out here thus maybe preventing previously made mistakes.
