  1. In a flat track how much forward speed is normally attainable.
  2. Just keep in mind, when you get out of the plane you have 13000 feet under you. It's a long way down. You'll have all the time you need. Just focus on arching nice and hard. When your JM says arch, believe me he means really ! really ! ARCH ! ....... and like everyone has been saying, focus on those legs. Just because we don't see them doesn't mean they don't exist. When you get out of the plane focus on your body and how it should feel and look in the air. Picture it. Don't picture the ground at 13000 feet.
  3. 10 months since I first got into the sport. 44 jumps, plan to put some momentum on that this summer. 0 cut aways
  4. Anybody ever tried tracking away from the moon thinking it was another jumper in white and cursed him for following you all the way to deployment only to feel quite stupid later on ... I did.
  5. Don't worry find a new Instructor and you'll be fine. During my AFF I think I did enough of unintentional free flying. Spinning, tumbling, flipping I did all of it, but not once did my JM tell that I wouldn't come through. And sure enough on my 10th jump as if magically I was suddenly in control of my entire skydive. It was an amazing feeling to be able to flip when I wanted to and not when the wind wanted me too. The point being, I kept trying to work it out because my JM encouraged me too. The only time you won't become a Skydiver is if you choose not too. If you have the desire of stepping out of a plane and really feel the passion of wanting to do it then you will become a skydiver. It doesn't matter if you do it in 8 jumps or 30 jumps. The point is you want to fly and that you will.
  6. thanks for you inputs. I guess another jumper it is !
  7. Since I'm new to this sport I don't always find people who will be willing to jump with me to help me out. On those kind of dives I try and practice my drills but the thing is I feel it's not all that helpful unless I have a frame of refrence to compare my movement with. For example when I'm doing my 360 I don't know if I'm sliding or moving too much in the vertical plane. Any good suggestions as to how solo drills can be done effectively.
  8. How would not having an RSL have helped. How would it have given you more time to work with on the main.
  9. I'm starting out with sit flying too, wear a protec and haven't had a problem even with getting thrown around all over the place.
  10. How many jumps before someone should attempt to learn CRW and how do you learn it living in the New Jersey area.
  11. Articulated harness is quite worth it comfort wise. Besides It might have a better resale over the regular harness when you are ready for a rig change.
  12. Was seeing the Swoop video the other day and I wanted to know how is the rig dried once it get's all wet. Just open it all up and leave it out to dry is the way it's done or is there something special that needs to be done ? Does it involve repacking the reserve everytime.
  13. well then , I guess I'll get myself a copy too.
  14. Is it all non stop Swooping or does it have some other stuff too.
  15. Has anyone seen the Swoop ! video by Pier Video. Any comments. Is it worth the price.

  17. If I wan't to jump with a friend who's doing a tandem is there a regulation against that or is it the tandem instructor's call. Have people ever done this.
  18. Well what about if by chance his reserve catches some wind, which it will, and drifts him over a bunch of trees and puts him down there, his canopy might get entangled in the branches and may be he lives on, probably with a borken bone or two but alive. Now thats a lot of may be I know, but when it's your life don't you think it's probably worth going for the may be. Imagine if all those who've survived very low pulls in a very tight spot and we have an example it in this forum too, decided not to take the chance and try for the may be ...
  19. So for 40 bucks do you think it's worth owning or a total no ! no !
  20. Congratulations ! ... and put a side a lot of money because now the fun begins.
