When do you think you'll move there?

Thats part of the MAGA identity.

Since he is disbarred from practicing law in NY. it would have to be pro bono. Otherwise he would catch another charge for practicing law without a license.

Putin has evidently burned through the 300,000 conscripts from the draft last fall. They lie buried in trenches in Ukraine. Buried in graveyards in small villages across Russia. So now its time for 400,000 volunteer contract soldiers to man the trenches. They used to man the tanks and IFVs. But those are also all gone. Putin has now removed the age limit for new contract soldiers. No word yet if WW2 veterans are signing up. They will receive special "expertise" bonuses. Because operators for T-34 tanks are in short supply. "Russia's ministry of defense has acquired thirty old T-34 tanks sparking speculation the Soviet medium tank that was introduced in 1940 could soon be reintroduced to the battlefields of Ukraine. Putin's military has been faced with the challenge of fielding tanks able to compete with the modern armour soon to be supplied to Ukraine such as the US Abrams and the British Challenger 2."

Perhaps. But its more likely to shrink the voters just outside his base. It seems as if 25%( his base)would still vote for him even if he was in jail already. Who is Chris Rock? You have my vote.

Oh the fun.....er... fundraising to come.

Its become clear that Rupert Murdoch has laid down the law at FOX. trump is out and DeSantis is the new GOP savior of America. FOX has turned against trump and has begun to be more aggressive about tackling his lies. The lies of DeSantis are completely acceptable. So FOX wants to move on but has one piece of baggage left. That pesky lawsuit by Dominion Voting Systems. In which the evidence clearly shows that lying by FOX personalities was the rule of the day. So FOX can move on to new lies for the benefit of DeSantis and the GOP. Is FOX going to quietly settle with buckets of cash and a NDA?

Well it does fit in well with the NRA/FOX/MAGA narrative. That the only way to defeat a armed criminal. Is to arm everyone else.

Credit Suisse used to be the bank of choice for Putin, drug dealers, dictator autocrats, etc. Credit Suisse violated 2014 U.S. tax evasion deal, Senate committee finds from yesterday. Of course Switzerland loves to play the violin suggesting that its neutral, impartial and honest with its dealings in the world. They have refused to supply arms to Ukraine to show its impartiality. Today: So now its integrity has been shown again " Four bankers have been convicted of failing to conduct due diligence on Swiss accounts that were opened in the name of a musician with close ties to President Vladimir V. Putin of Russia and used to make deposits worth tens of millions of dollars....Their sentences? "A court in Zurich on Thursday handed the four bankers, including three Russian and one Swiss citizen, suspended seven-month jail sentences with two years’ probation. " The money involved was over $50 million in one account alone. So while the western world makes sacrifices to the rule of law. The Swiss line their pockets at the expense of rule abiding countries.

You'd think so. But from the posts in these forums we all know how the gun nuts think. Guns, specifically AR-15s are necessary to own because Washington doesn't work. Washington is the source of all our problems. Every red-neck American must be armed to the teeth with lots of 5.56 in storage. Because Libs and Washington are the enemy.Every day that message gets delivered to the gun loving base. The costs of smoking in many countries are pictured on the front of each cigarette package. Perhaps its time to put the costs of guns on the stocks of guns and boxes of ammunition. Together with the picture of the child who suffered that injury.
-
How can anyone possible remember the tens of thousands of children in America killed by gun violence. Or even 4,500 every year now? Lets get this thread back on track. 45,000 killed annually and about 10% of those are children. Nothing can be done to fix the problem. Nobody wants to get serious about it. Rinse and repeat after every death.

Spoken like a true gun lover.

True but the foundations of US gun rights and adoration likely have a bigger component.Just as the laws precluding actions against gun manufacturers. Given the current makeup of the USSC. Juries, prayers, tears etc. are all irrelevant.
-
So today, the same day I posted this: "Tennessee GOP Rep. Tim Burchett told reporters that “laws don’t work” to curb gun violence. “We want to legislate evil – it’s just not gonna happen,” he said. “If you think Washington is going to fix this problem, you’re wrong. They’re not going to fix this problem. They are the problem.” Asked by CNN why private citizens need AR-15s, Burchett pointed to self-defense. He also argued that even though other countries don’t observe the United States’ high frequency of shootings, “other countries don’t have our freedom either … And when people abuse that freedom, that’s what happens.” So yes a sick lie.

Yep Merica protecting children, saving lives, one gun at a time.
-
Merica is free and other western countries are slaves to their governments?
-
FIFY If the ATF background checks made on every gun buyer. Were the same ones done to buy a fully automatic weapon and silencer. i.e. machine gun and suppressor. These types of acts by those checked would most likely be eliminated. The problem of 400 million guns will still be an issue.

Because trump says and does what his followers get mocked, prosecuted and ridiculed for doing. Living vicariously through trump. Their dreams and prayers get answered. -

President Biden has come out suggesting another assault weapons ban. Are you going to stock up on some more before the price goes up?

The same thing happened when Iran went off the rails. US made F-14s were its most advanced A/C and the US stopped supplying parts. "If war breaks out, American forces likely will attempt to secure Gulf air space by destroying or suppressing Iran’s air forces. The regular Islamic Republic of Iran Air Force and the air wing of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps militia together operate around 700 aircraft. The IRIAF’s 1970s-vintage F-14s could be U.S. forces’ first targets. According to a survey by Flight Global, the Iranian air force in 2019 operates around 24 F-14 Tomcats from a batch of 79 of the Grumman-made, swing-wing fighters that Iran acquired in the mid-1970s before the Islamic revolution. The U.S. Navy retired its last Tomcat in 2006. But with its long range and powerful radar, the F-14 remains one of the world’s most capable fighters. For that reason, the Americans for many years have been trying to ground the Ayatollah’s F-14s. Sixty-eight of Iran’s F-14s survived the Iran-Iraq War that ended in 1988. Sanctions that the United States imposed after the 1979 revolution prevented Iran from openly acquiring spare parts for the heavyweight fighters."

U.S. regulators say Silicon Valley Bank customers will be made whole

IMO its more of a scattergun approach. Occasionally he hits the mark. Then immediately misses the broadside of a barn. -

Would that depend on who is buying? -

Ok, ok everybody cool down. Here is a story that makes Brent and Joe each look like rocket surgeons. So the Saudi national bank had one of the prince's buddies appointed as president. The Saudi bank invested and lost over $26 billion dollars in the 10% investment they made in Credit Suisse. About two weeks ago he shoots his mouth off that the Saudi bank wouldn't extend any more help to Credit Suisse. He could had said nothing or something positive. It was his comments that started the bank run. He just lost his job. No word yet if MBS will have his head lopped off in the public square.
