Mind over money is a good bargain you say?

trump had excellent legislative success in protecting the personal assets of the wealthy. About $1.5 trillion worth. "They were billed as a “middle-class miracle” but according to a new book Donald Trump’s $1.5tn tax cuts have helped billionaires pay a lower rate than the working class for the first time in history. In 2018 the richest 400 families in the US paid an average effective tax rate of 23% while the bottom half of American households paid a rate of 24.2%, University of California at Berkeley economists Emmanuel Saez and Gabriel Zucman calculate in their new book, The Triumph of Injustice. Taxes on the rich have been falling for decades. In 1960 the 400 richest families paid as much as 56% in taxes, by 1980 the rate had fallen to 40%. But Trump’s tax cuts – his most significant legislative victory – proved a tipping point." They’re Giddy in the Private-Jet Industry at Dawn of Trump Era

I'd guess mostly Dems. except for military and LEO. But FBI in with dems.

Vivek Ramaswamy has vowed to fire 75% of the federal workforce and eliminate entire agencies. He has further stated that its an executive decision that requires no vote in congress. No word yet if the banana tree will replace the stars on the US flag.

MTG whispering sweet nothings in trump's ear. Evidently trump has been pushing republicans to start impeachment proceedings against President Biden.

Speaking of Crimea. it appears as though UK and French supplied air launched cruise missiles were used overnight. A Russian LST ship and Kilo class sub were reportedly damaged. Ukraine has severely degraded Russian air defense systems on the western side of the Crimean peninsula. This has allowed Ukraine to reintroduce Bayraktar UCAV drones to that area. They previously had been withdrawn due to Russian airspace control in that area.

You do know that other SC posters are forced to rely upon wines like Two buck Chuck "Fine Select" and Costco rum? That it may take an entire Canadian cold winter to clear the smoke from our lungs after this summer?

I disagree considering that the DOD is subservient to the president and his political objectives/decisions/whims. The DOD is also supplying Ukraine with almost real time AWACS support, satellite imagery and other intelligence. As are other EU allies.
-
Agree. intelligence in a battle or a war is as important as bullets, missiles and troops. Secure communications and satellite imagery are in the purview of private companies today. Imagine private AI on the battlefield in the future. Bombarding the enemy with false information and altered data. Clearly congress has been too busy with distractions.
-
The DOD has never restricted Ukrainian offensive/defensive operation in Ukrainian territory, i.e. Crimea. Putin is the only one who considers Crimea a part of Russia. Its not as above re DOD. Agree. But there is not allot of "outrage" The incremental increases in supplying weapons is a mistake. For all the foot dragging Biden has done he has shown leadership thats typically been absent from European countries. In spearheading an alliance against Russia. Keep in mind that Russia invaded Ukraine in 2014 not 2022. Germany and many EU countries were still pressing ahead with Nord Stream prior to 2022. Putin should have been sent a message in 2014. But alas nobody showed sufficient leadership then. Sanctions busting is a worse offense than what Musk did: UK purchases of Russian-origin jet fuel worth at least £40m to the Kremlin

Impulsive and impetuous are common terms used to describe Musk. He previously supplied support for free and is now under contract with the Department of Defense paying the Starlink bills. Evidently the contract was not entirely clear about Musk having any say in limiting service. Thats likely to be further defined in future contracts. The idea that Musk or anyone else could become a Wagner Lite for profit needs to be clear and defined. But then FOX has been in a propaganda war for decades without arising concerns.

Because its easier to just cover your head with a pillow? -
Responsibility for mistakes is something republicans and Musk tend to avoid. Elon has laid the blame for the fall of Twitters value on the ADLElon Musk Blames Anti-Defamation League for Destroying Website He Ruined Himself He placed the blame for "company’s current worth at roughly one-third the $44 billion Mr. Musk paid for it — on the ADL, saying that he was considering legal action against the ADL and signaling that he supported banning the organization from X." Since Elon too over Twitter and rebranded it as "X" republicans , White Racists have taken over at least Elon gets his $8 a month from real users. On a positive note at least it wasn't the Jewish space lasers.

The statement demanded investigation soooo " A coalition of environmentalists blames wind turbines for the whale deaths. Multiple offshore wind developments have been initiated in the area since President Joe Biden’s election in 2020. There are two wind farms in operation, with seven turbines total. Another two farms are being constructed off New York and Massachusetts. 12 New Jersey mayors have called for a moratorium on wind projects pending “further investigation” of the deaths. Environmental organisation Clean Ocean Action blames turbine construction noise, which it insists can cause damage to a whale’s delicate inner ear." All of which has been dismissed as false by Greenpeace and NOAA in the same story quoted above.

Does that have turbine engines?

Clearly you are subscribing to "western disinformation media" or at least Slim would say so. According to President Putin and "In a call with Russian military leaders, Shoigu claimed that Ukraine had lost more than 66,000 soldiers(about 550 a day) and 7,600 weapons(vehicles, tanks and armored vehicles, TASS) since the start of the counteroffensive," Which started about June 7th. Meanwhile the US political right celebrated the christening of the new SLBM submarine for the N. Korean regime. A copy of Russian design its a forerunner of what Kim hopes to be a nuclear propelled sub. "There are reports that when President Vladimir Putin and Kim Jong Un meet in Vladivostok there will be a request for Russian nuclear propulsion technology in exchange for the large amounts of ammunition and arms Putin needs desperately for his continuing war in Ukraine." So UN sanctions don't apply to these two partners trading in nuclear technology and weapons. All in violation of UN resolutions. No word yet if trump, and Ramaswamy have been invited to the christening of the nuclear attack sub by Kim. In other news from the front. A captured Russian marine told the press that Russian artillery was directed behind them when they started to retreat from the battle that Joe described above. These battlefield coaching techniques first implemented by Stalin are designed to "motivate" the men to fight.

trump won't listen to his lawyers. He needs to get the truth off his chest about how he helped write the constitution. -
Mexico= democracy, rule of law and respect for a woman's right to control her body. Republicans= Theocracy, old, conservative white men holding the cross deciding how everyone else will live. But at least they can still buy AR-15s and have permitless carry.

WTF!... I mistook your DZ website for another one with discounts! So all the brown-nosing I've done here is for naught?
-
Or live in the EU, Canada, Australia, NZ, etc. where the government negotiates the cheapest drug prices and medical care with insurers in advance. At least President Biden is making a start.

Yet their leader has yet to spend a day accommodated by the department of corrections. The one who ordered them to "stand down and stand by". The one who still enjoys huge support even though courts are sentencing his followers Those same courts have yet to rule that the FBI have run witch hunts to frame trump followers and trump himself. -

Its been true for about forty years that as education goes up the number of kids (fertility rate) goes down.

You were obviously in ALBERTA! hahaha For non-Canadians thats where the anti-vax "Freedom Convoy" originated from. Its premier Danielle Smith. "Smith said on May 9, after past comments surfaced in which she equated those vaccinated against COVID-19 to Nazi supporters and said she would not wear a Remembrance Day poppy out of disgust for pandemic restrictions imposed by political leaders" Mrs. Smith is a MTG lite.
