  1. Keep in mind that that one plane could have dropped a precision guided munition right to the heart of the Fuhrer-bunker. Could have taken out the Schweinfurt ball bearing works that took multiple mass raids with the loss of hundreds and hundreds of men.
  2. "Indigenous Australians account for only 3.8% of Australia’s population. But they die on average eight years younger than the wider population, have a suicide rate twice that of the national average and suffer from diseases in the remote Outback that have been eradicated from other wealthy countries." Above from a ABC story on the issue. Canada has gone through the same sort of issues and has now started to deal with them through legislation and compensation. Manitoba just elected a native Indian leader even though they only make up 18% of the population.
  3. Her Houston home in 2022, 9,000 sq feet, six bedrooms, six baths, The main foyer: "Donations to a SpotFund account from just over 6,800 donors by Thursday afternoon had brought in more than $392,000, far surpassing the family’s $50,000 goal."
  4. Here is a graph of the value of the Dallas Cowboys team from 2002-23 In most professional sports there is so much cash floating around that everyone should be happy.
  5. Just goes to show that intellect in other matters and skill in sports has nothing in common. I'm surprised that he didn't pick Joe Rogan as his partner.
  6. IMO the players get it because they deserve it. Owners get it because the teams are independent business whose purpose is to make money and to stroke the ego's of their owners.
  7. Given the defenses trump lawyers are putting up in his current fraud conviction trial. It should be the foundation for some fantastic crackpot idea of a defense. But when you have no defense and straws are nowhere to be found.
  8. "Retton managed to accumulate considerable financial worth with her achievements in gymnastics and commercial endorsements. Retton's estimated net worth is $8 million. Apart from her earnings in gymnastics and endorsements, her motivational speaking engagements also contribute to her wealth....Mary Lou Retton earned a $1 million reward for her Olympic gold from the U.S. Olympic Committee and the cereal brand Wheaties,." I guess she could have spent it all. Progress in Canada...."Once fully implemented, the Canadian Dental Care Plan will support up to 9 million uninsured Canadians who have an annual family net income of less than $90,000 in getting the oral health care they need, with no co-pays for those with family incomes under $70,000" Which is typical Liberal overreach. We can't afford the funding of the programs that are legislated now. In the US at least the GOP has given up on trying to kill Obama-care for now. Even in its limited current format.
  9. How much is too much to spend on a high school football stadium? The Prosper school district in Texas has proposed plans for a new stadium - the price, $94 million. Their current stadium reportedly only cost 53 mill Too much cash sloshing around at all levels in the US. But some of those athletes wouldn't bother with a education anyway. IMO It all works out in the end but perhaps the cash could subsidize the rest of the school.
  10. US v Palestinian situation in the West Bank. While the USSC has been hobbled its still a little force for moderation. There is still the vote, still the free press and these can counter tribalism. While there is demonetization of minority target groups they still have a voice among the left. I say the West Bank population because they are not represented by Hamas. They are oppressed and the West needs to put more pressure on Israel when they are done with Hamas. The two state solution needs more leverage to move forward. Leverage to kick the Israeli political right in the ass.
  11. Rats eat each other and cancer feeds on other cells. When either occurs the organism dies.
  12. Lipstick on the clowns, lipstick on the pigs feeding in the trough. Its all good for the GOP.
  13. Or the politicians who exploit the ignorance of the uneducated for their votes.
  14. It was reported to Putin that the battery successfully shot down a Ukrainian F-16 so all is good in the Russian empire.
  15. A guest on CNBC this morning suggested that many US companies are moving to "nearshore" production from China. In other words move production to the Americas. It creates spin off jobs and aids those economies, shortens supply lines, etc. It was also suggested that Mexican auto production is of very high quality. Perhaps favorable tax and import protections to central and south America can be a part of the answer.
  16. I have to give this one to Brent and US conservatives. President Biden and some liberals have flipped on the wall. Most people here know that a wall, fence, call it what you will is not a solution. Gridlock on immigration has been the fixture in the US for decades. President Biden had and has the opportunity to seize the issue and define the debate. Just as trump did. No wall will keep a prospective Venezuelan who has crossed the Darien Gap to get to the border. From getting into the US even if he is deported back the first time.
  17. Well I did learn something. Prior to this I had never heard of "Soy Boy lefties" Come on guys we have to give Brent some credit. He is trying to move onwards from traditional conservative female pick up techniques. He isn't trying to pick up underage girls like Matt Gaetz. He is trying to move onwards from traditional conservative "grab them by the Pu$$y" techniques and social interactions.
  18. FINALLY the definitive statement of the conservative mind. But you know you couldn't have your AR-15s to go with that.
  19. Moot point. Requires a global or at least an extra-national consciousness. Which doesn't exist in conservative American DNA.
  20. Buuuuuuut the e-mails. Buuuuut the laptop. Republicans have nothing on the corruption of the Putin regime. It is incredible. But as long as the base keeps it mouth wide open. Swallowing and swallowing all the lies, why not?
  21. trump was at Mar-a-lago talking to an Australian billionaire. The Australian mentioned that Australia just entered into an agreement to buy US nuclear submarine technology. trump ever the know it all king of bluster Started off telling all about US nuclear submarine technology and capabilities. "Months after leaving the White House, former President Donald Trump allegedly discussed potentially sensitive information about U.S. nuclear submarines with a member of his Mar-a-Lago Club -- an Australian billionaire who then allegedly shared the information with scores of others, including more than a dozen foreign officials, several of his own employees, and a handful of journalists, according to sources familiar with the matter." Needless to say US intelligence allies have taken notice about sharing intel with republicans.
  22. A conservative picture as well. The world is going to hell and libs are leading the way. My children are going to be turned into WOKE bisexuals or gay people at school by teachers. Illegals are going to break into my home and rape my wife, etc. etc. and a all meat diet to prepare for the the end of the world when my AR-15 is my only friend. Sheeeesh!
  23. WTF have you gone completely off the deep end of life's equation? For those who can't be bothered his diet is only meat, nothing else. He suggests there are 12 rules for life the first being ""Stand up straight with your shoulders back." Others include: " "Tell the truth – or, at least, don't lie." "Assume that the person you are listening to might know something you don't." So obviously Brent pays little attention to anything this guy has to say.
