  1. As a standard bearer for republicans isn't that a given?
  2. It appears as though Modi the president of India has ordered the assignation of a Canadian citizen in B.C. Modi who has refused to participate in sanctions against Putin for his war. Has targeted minorities, Muslims and Christians ever since his government took power. "Some members of the B.C. Sikh community say the Canadian government's allegation that the government of India may have been involved in the killing of a Sikh leader is momentous. Thousands of Sikh Canadians attended his funeral. Hardeep Singh Nijjar, the president of the Guru Nanak Sikh Gurdwara, was gunned down outside the Sikh temple on June 18, shortly after evening prayers had concluded. Many of Nijjar's supporters had alleged that the Indian government was behind the assassination, especially as he was a prominent supporter of the movement for an independent Sikh state called Khalistan." Trudeau has expelled an Indian diplomat.
  3. Pictures of what the Ukraine AF did to Russian Kilo class sub for using Ukrainian repair facilities without permission. Needless to say security is not a part of the Russian SMO.
  4. Five US hostages held by Iran have been released today. For which the US paid $1.2 billion US per hostage. No hostages from any other country was released. Probably because there aren't any. The president of Iran was interviewed on ABC and stated that the money can be used for whatever Iran wants. The money was owned by Iran.
  5. Like many republicans they easily forget what the talking points are and get confused. Just like trump in a speech on Friday. He got Obama and Biden all mixed up then went on to suggest that Biden will start WW 2. Yes WW two. Perhaps trump's German heritage missed the concept that Germany was defeated along with Japan in 1945. Of course his utter confused mishmash of mistakes, errors and outright lies(1.14 min video of it) all went over well with his audience.
  6. Boebert 36, had to go undercover to gather intelligence on dems for her re-election campaign. She knows her base loves to live vicariously through her. Just like the GOP base loves its pussy grabbing current leader. As a grandmother she doesn't want to be type-cast as someone her base can't relate to. Pictured below in center for publicly photo.
  7. Even cults have leaders. The christian one is omnipotent.
  8. Good thing. Imagine the bombardment of right wing messaging. Their minds would be destroyed in short order.
  9. You need to do all you can and more because:"Child poverty more than doubled in 2022 due to Republicans' tax cut push. Trump plans for more Trump and his advisors are setting sights on an aggressive tax cut plan to push during his 2024 campaign"
  10. Contrary to the thinking of republicans. They value well armed children and grandchildren.
  11. Ron DeSantis is appealing to the uneducated GOP base again. "the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommended on Tuesday that everyone six months and older who had not received a Covid-19 shot in the last two months receive a booster vaccine." ..."Mr. DeSantis’s administration advised that Florida residents under the age of 65 skip the updated boosters."...“I will not stand by and let the F.D.A. and C.D.C. use healthy Floridians as guinea pigs for new booster shots,” Appealing to the base for votes. Keeping the Florida deficit down by eliminating Florida residents . Assisting new Florida immigrants by opening up newly vacant homes for them to move into. Its a Win, Win, Win.
  12. Mind over money is a good bargain you say?
  13. trump had excellent legislative success in protecting the personal assets of the wealthy. About $1.5 trillion worth. "They were billed as a “middle-class miracle” but according to a new book Donald Trump’s $1.5tn tax cuts have helped billionaires pay a lower rate than the working class for the first time in history. In 2018 the richest 400 families in the US paid an average effective tax rate of 23% while the bottom half of American households paid a rate of 24.2%, University of California at Berkeley economists Emmanuel Saez and Gabriel Zucman calculate in their new book, The Triumph of Injustice. Taxes on the rich have been falling for decades. In 1960 the 400 richest families paid as much as 56% in taxes, by 1980 the rate had fallen to 40%. But Trump’s tax cuts – his most significant legislative victory – proved a tipping point." They’re Giddy in the Private-Jet Industry at Dawn of Trump Era
  14. I'd guess mostly Dems. except for military and LEO. But FBI in with dems.
  15. Vivek Ramaswamy has vowed to fire 75% of the federal workforce and eliminate entire agencies. He has further stated that its an executive decision that requires no vote in congress. No word yet if the banana tree will replace the stars on the US flag.
  16. MTG whispering sweet nothings in trump's ear. Evidently trump has been pushing republicans to start impeachment proceedings against President Biden.
  17. Speaking of Crimea. it appears as though UK and French supplied air launched cruise missiles were used overnight. A Russian LST ship and Kilo class sub were reportedly damaged. Ukraine has severely degraded Russian air defense systems on the western side of the Crimean peninsula. This has allowed Ukraine to reintroduce Bayraktar UCAV drones to that area. They previously had been withdrawn due to Russian airspace control in that area.
  18. You do know that other SC posters are forced to rely upon wines like Two buck Chuck "Fine Select" and Costco rum? That it may take an entire Canadian cold winter to clear the smoke from our lungs after this summer?
  19. I disagree considering that the DOD is subservient to the president and his political objectives/decisions/whims. The DOD is also supplying Ukraine with almost real time AWACS support, satellite imagery and other intelligence. As are other EU allies.
  20. Agree. intelligence in a battle or a war is as important as bullets, missiles and troops. Secure communications and satellite imagery are in the purview of private companies today. Imagine private AI on the battlefield in the future. Bombarding the enemy with false information and altered data. Clearly congress has been too busy with distractions.
  21. The DOD has never restricted Ukrainian offensive/defensive operation in Ukrainian territory, i.e. Crimea. Putin is the only one who considers Crimea a part of Russia. Its not as above re DOD. Agree. But there is not allot of "outrage" The incremental increases in supplying weapons is a mistake. For all the foot dragging Biden has done he has shown leadership thats typically been absent from European countries. In spearheading an alliance against Russia. Keep in mind that Russia invaded Ukraine in 2014 not 2022. Germany and many EU countries were still pressing ahead with Nord Stream prior to 2022. Putin should have been sent a message in 2014. But alas nobody showed sufficient leadership then. Sanctions busting is a worse offense than what Musk did: UK purchases of Russian-origin jet fuel worth at least £40m to the Kremlin
  22. Impulsive and impetuous are common terms used to describe Musk. He previously supplied support for free and is now under contract with the Department of Defense paying the Starlink bills. Evidently the contract was not entirely clear about Musk having any say in limiting service. Thats likely to be further defined in future contracts. The idea that Musk or anyone else could become a Wagner Lite for profit needs to be clear and defined. But then FOX has been in a propaganda war for decades without arising concerns.
  23. Because its easier to just cover your head with a pillow?
  24. Responsibility for mistakes is something republicans and Musk tend to avoid. Elon has laid the blame for the fall of Twitters value on the ADLElon Musk Blames Anti-Defamation League for Destroying Website He Ruined Himself He placed the blame for "company’s current worth at roughly one-third the $44 billion Mr. Musk paid for it — on the ADL, saying that he was considering legal action against the ADL and signaling that he supported banning the organization from X." Since Elon too over Twitter and rebranded it as "X" republicans , White Racists have taken over at least Elon gets his $8 a month from real users. On a positive note at least it wasn't the Jewish space lasers.
