I'm on TECO (house in Tampa). Haven't been able to do the search recently.... because as I also mentioned, each home owner should do their own cost-benefit analysis, and what they can afford. I've recently done some other work on the house, which has combined to reduce the power requirements dramatically. When I have more people living in the house in the future, I'll look into the solar upgrades at that time. Florida power battles: http://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-39258421

Kushner wanted secure line with Kremlin before inauguration

Former head of the NSA and CIA Gen. Michael Hayden. IMO this is the smartest guy on CNN http://www.mediaite.com/trump/michael-hayden-on-jared-kushners-request-to-russians-ignorance-chaos-hubris/ I still think its treason. -
Kushner wanted secure line with Kremlin before inauguration

Starting to look like that which was the reason many voted for the village idiot to start with. Former acting CIA director John McLaughlan on Friday responded to reports that President Trump's son-in-law and senior adviser Jared Kushner discussed setting up a secret communications line between Trump's transition team and the Kremlin, saying if such reports are true, it would be considered espionage. http://thehill.com/blogs/blog-briefing-room/news/335398-ex-cia-director-if-kushner-set-up-secure-line-with-russia-cia -

Well, the US really is the head of NATO so I don't see why the President shouldn't be up front for the pictures at a NATO meeting. Having the US in front does free up the rest of you to spend your capital on things like free healthcare, free this, free that, so quit your bitchin'. We've got you covered on the defense front. Do you think that maybe they would have taken a minute or two to organize the people in an appropriate order? Do you think that they would have snubbed the US as far as where Trump got to stand in the picture? Could Trump have waited one or two seconds for a path to open up? Or does his narcissism dictate that he be in front all the time? And does his insecurity dictate that he has to be in front right now or maybe they'll take the pic without him in front? He needs someone to tell him when he's acting rudely and insensitively (he's doing it again). Everyone has become acclimated to the eight year long Obama 'apology tour.' Now they flip out because there is a President unafraid to demand the level of respect that comes with being in the driver seat of the free world. No insult intended. Have you ever left the continental US? Or just a little early morning flippancy? Actually yes. Let's see- Germany, Belgium, Lux, France, Guyana interior savanah and jungle, Haiti back in the mountains, Brazil, Mexico, Nicaragua, probably a few more I forgot. Are you asking for a reason? And as a followup one of the first things I saw the Big O do as President was take a world-wide tour in AF1 to apologize to every other country in the world and tell them how much the US sucks. You may have seen it differently, but that was what I saw. When Donald Trump was seen brushing his way past Montenegro Prime Minister Dusko Markovic for a group photo at a NATO summit in Brussels this week, many Europeans came to the same conclusion: The American president came off looking like a bully... German comedian Jan Boehmermann also turned to Twitter to compare Trump to a hungry man barging his way past others to get to the front of the line for an all-you-can-eat buffet.... An American, Richard J. Martinez, said he has confronted widespread negativity while traveling in Europe this month. “Anytime someone hears we are from the States, a negative conversation ensues and instant judgment begins,” he said. “If you're traveling, try not to bring his name up.”.. “Trump is seen as the epitome of the ‘ugly American’,” Jaeger said. “He’s loud, uncouth, ignorant, disgustingly and flamboyantly rich.” Trump’s image as an outsider continued in Italy on Friday at the G-7 meeting in Taormina, Italy, where the distance between Trump and the others was as much physical as political. The presidents, chancellor and prime ministers of France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Canada and the United Kingdom walked the streets of Taormina. Trump followed in a golf cart. http://www.latimes.com/world/europe/la-fg-trump-europe-impressions-20170526-story.html -
Kushner wanted secure line with Kremlin before inauguration
Phil1111 replied to Phil1111's topic in Speakers Corner
Jared Kushner reportedly talked with a top Russian official in early December about establishing a private communications channel between President Trump's transition team and the Kremlin. The president's son-in-law and senior adviser inquired about using Russian diplomatic facilities for the communications, apparently to shield the talks, U.S. officials briefed on intelligence reports told The Washington Post. Russian ambassador to the U.S. Sergei Kislyak told his superiors that Kushner floated the idea during a meeting at Trump Tower on Dec. 1 or 2, according to the Post, which cited intercepts of Russian communications reviewed by U.S. officials. http://thehill.com/homenews/administration/335382-kushner-wanted-secure-line-with-kremlin-before-inauguration-report i.e. Have Kushner and or trump go to the Russian embassy to have secure communications with RUSSIA-PUTIN using Russian secure lines. Simply stunning. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2017/05/27/jared-kushner-wanted-secret-channel-kremlinrussian-ambassador/ Reuters was first to report last week that a proposal for a back channel was discussed between Flynn and Kislyak as Trump prepared to take office. The Washington Post was first to report on Friday that Kushner participated in that conversation. Separately, there were at least 18 undisclosed calls and emails between Trump associates and Kremlin-linked people in the seven months before the Nov. 8 presidential election, including six calls with Kislyak, sources told Reuters earlier this month. . Two people familiar with those 18 contacts said Flynn and Kushner were among the Trump associates who spoke to the ambassador by telephone. Reuters previously reported only Flynn’s involvement in those discussions. Six of the sources said there were multiple contacts between Kushner and Kislyak but declined to give details beyond the two phone calls between April and November and the post-election conversation about setting up a back channel. It is also not clear whether Kushner engaged with Kislyak on his own or with other Trump aides. https://www.reuters.com/article/us-usa-trump-fbi-kushner-exclusive-idUSKBN18N018 -

It doesn't matter what was said. "He insulted my mom" is not a viable defense for a "body slam." Assault is assault. Defense against a viable thread of violence before the actual violence happens is a different matter. Link: https://definitions.uslegal.com/f/fighting-words/ There are a couple serious factors here. - there was nothing really of substance to set the assault off. Really makes one question his anger management issues. - he was a reporter, with a mike, in a public forum. Yet there was a complete lack of self control on behalf of the Congressman elect. Supporters can look the other way, accept the apology and move on as though nothing happened. But the man is 56 and if thats all it takes there is something disconnected with his impulse control.

Gianforte and Jacobs have a history: Last month, Jacobs reported that Gianforte owns about $250,000 in shares in two index funds that have investments in Russian companies that are under U.S. sanctions... Tom Tancredo, a former Republican congressman from Colorado, said: ...He denied that Gianforte’s “body slam” of a journalist should be disqualifying, adding: “I certainly wanted to many times but I managed to restrain myself.”... A press release from Gianforte’s camp specifically branded Jacobs a “liberal” journalist, while House minority leader Nancy Pelosi, a Democrat, called Gianforte “a wannabe Trump”.... Republican pollster and consultant Frank Luntz said: “I wonder how Republicans would’ve responded if it was a Democrat in question. I’ve been saying for months that there is a poison in American politics that will destroy everyone. I’m afraid it’s happening.” https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2017/may/26/greg-gianfortes-victory-in-montana-hands-republican-party-a-fresh-liability Above from the newspaper that employs the reporter that was assaulted.

Its all part of the tool box of a populist ideologue. Any way to paint an opponent in a bad light is acceptable. Outright lies work better. Because when you repeat them enough people start to believe the lies.

This is why the rest of the world thinks we're dicks. He's not God. Thats just called the ugly American. Sort of like the rural Chinese that goes to Disneyland and pushes his way right to the front of the line. Because thats the way to get a fresh chicken in the market in his village. Don't worry, after he left the NATO meeting European leaders and people will have a clear opinion as to who he is all about from those actions. This site tracks oversea opinions of the USA. http://watchingamerica.com/WA/ There are those that think what anyone else thinks of the US is not important. That "You can always judge a man not by his friends, but by the quality of his enemies" is personified by trump. That the rest of the world can just FU** off. That thinking is a mistake. -
Not to defend him but most people have no idea what politicians put up with in dealing with the public. Obviously he is a reporter just doing his job. The complaints that people bring forth are stunning. This cop should be fired because he gave me a parking ticket. The grader operator is incompetent. There are potholes here. On and on. Obviously thats their job. Thats why they get paid the big bucks. You need an attitude of patience to deal with public issues. Compassion might be helpful. This is his ideology for the elderly: "There's nothing in the Bible that talks about retirement. And yet it's been an accepted concept in our culture today. Nowhere does it say, 'Well, he was a good and faithful servant, so he went to the beach... The example I think of is Noah. How old was Noah when he built the ark? 600. He wasn't like, cashing Social Security checks, he wasn't hanging out, he was working. So, I think we have an obligation to work. The role we have in work may change over time, but the concept of retirement is not biblical. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Greg_Gianforte He is a billionaire businessman who has never held office before.

China is also moving slowly to more modern building standards. Most older builings are uninsulated. New buildings are poorly insulated. According to a report by the US Department of Energy [3], a building with fiberglass insulation in the mild re- gion can reduce its energy use by 50% compared with an uninsulated building. Accordingly, China could reduce its annual coal consumption by about 200 million tons by introducing the use of insulation to Canadian standards in buildings... As per the results of the US Department of Energy’s study (Table 1) [6], and based on China’s housing de- velopment from 2008 to 2010 [7], theoretically China could reduce its annual coal consumption for the pur- poses of heating and cooling from the current 400 million tons per year to 200 million tons per year by introducing the use of insulation in buildings. The installation of insulation in buildings requires only a one-time investment on the part of the builder or owner, yet the positive effects on the environment are long term. A one-time insulation investment will provide a 50-year payback. China would save a total of 10,000 million tons of coal during the next 50 years if Canadian standard insulation was introduced to China’s buildings today (50 years 200 million tons per year). https://www.researchgate.net/publication/262070232_Using_Insulation_in_China%27s_Buildings_Potential_for_Significant_Energy_Savings_and_Carbon_Emission_Reductions Current China power supply http://ceenews.info/en/power-statistics-china-2016-huge-growth-of-renewables-amidst-thermal-based-generation/

I do not! I hope the civil suit costs him many thousands of dollars I'm sure he will follow the well established trump doctrine. Lie, deny, obfuscate, obstruct and settle out of court. At this point I will Ignore a post of such stupidity. That said, it will be hard for him to do since there is audio video and live Witnesses Thanks for that. Usually I don't engage in dialog of any sort with you because it takes so long to frame responses for reduced cognitive comprehensions. Its important that you recognize at most points of time stupid posts are personally informative and fulfilling of your personal intellectual needs. I'm glad that you were able to comprehend all aspects of the trump methodology.

Duh. Obviously attempted murder shouldn't be prosecuted either. It's only a crime if you're found guilty in a court of law. Fixed it for you. Worked for OJ. Works for the American Bar. Works for politicians. So must be good, just keep it secret and the public ignorant.

Yawn 23 million less insured under revised republican ACA, nine years from now 51 million uninsured(15%). With older insured paying up to ten times as much. http://www.cnbc.com/2017/05/24/cbo-issues-new-estimates-on-obamacare-repeal-bill.html Nothing like reading comprehension to bring focus to the electorate and lawmakers.Boo hoo to Meadows and his crocodile tears.

At some level its not possible to argue stupidity when Presidents, Attorney Generals, National Security Advisors, etc. are involved. Its like saying a PhD in philosophy would have to know the nationality of Aristotle and who he is. But obviously this is a different administration with unique talents.

In all fairness we would have to wait for Russian state media to post the pictures, they seem to be the only ones allowed in the Oval Office. Well they have the golden shower photo's don't they?
