  1. There is an argument that the seriously rich will just move, or move their assets to a lower tax jurisdiction. Thus avoid taxes altogether. That most of their money is owned by corporations controlled by them and not by themselves personally. So they would move their corporations to a low tax jurisdiction. Sweden, Norway and other similar high tax countries have shown that is not the case. But as long as republicans can sell these arguments to the masses. As long as Rupert Murdoch can peddle those ideas unrestricted the masses will keep these ideas as gospel. Nothing will change because every 2-3 terms republicans will give the rich massive tax giveaways. BTY the US ranks #27th in income equality, China #28, South Africa #87. The aforementioned Sweden is #2 and Norway #1.
  2. Price and infrastructure are the current biggest obstacles to EV sales.New survey highlights a significant disconnect between car shopper preferences and current EV market offerings. This Edmunds survey is a week old. But price is not Tesla's driver of sales. BYD the Chinese manufacturer of EVs temporary was number one in EV sales but Tesla just reclaimed it.BYD is currently looking for a new Mexico manufacturing plant. Which means US market access tariff free. Automotive benchmarking company Caresoft invited journalist John McElroy to look at a BYD Seagull. The video is here. $11,500 USD retail with six airbags and 250 mile range. The most used quote in the video is “This doesn't come across as cheap,” The two industry experts in the video are not novices in the auto industry. They summarize their experience with the car in the last seconds of the video. "This is the biggest competitive threat to the entire industry"
  3. Chinese dumping of EVs in the EU and the rest of the world had a large part in that sales fall for Tesla. The EU determined that China has subsided EVs $58 billion since 2018.
  4. Quite right. But the racist MAGA base is still only 20% of Trump's Brownshirt base. President Biden could be tougher on border policies, the deficit, Israel's use of food as a weapon in the war against Hamas, speed in supplying more advanced weapons to Ukraine, etc. It should but national interests are usually ranked behind personal interests.Three high ranking generals who served Trump directly in his administration. Have all come out and called Trump a direct danger to America. Not to worry though Army general Flynn is ready to go back to work for trump January 20, 2025. .... Can a person be pardoned twice?
  5. He does know better. But once in a while attempted humor in the guise of a cheap shot is allowed by forum rules.
  6. Co-founders of Trump Media, Andy Litinsky and Wes Moss are being counter-sued by Trump. They initiated suits against Trump alleging that Trump wanted to issue a billion shares. Which they felt would dilute the shares to practically nothing. So one day before it went public Trump filed against them stating that they should have no shares in Trump media whatsoever. They were both formerly apprentices on Trump's TV show. The idea of the media corporation was evidently brought to Trump by them. But they evidently learned nothing on the show about Trump or prior to getting involved in a business deal with him.
  7. Sure but trump could no sooner quit committing crimes than Pavlov's dogs could stop drooling.
  8. So a biased and cherry picking study then? I thought so.
  9. Did the author explain why conservatives suffer from delusions, loss of power anxiety and cult susceptibility syndrome?
  10. Because pandering to the GOP base doesn't need facts? Or because criminal convictions of their friends, their party leadership, themselves further their political objectives?
  11. Eventually trump will die. All that cash and all those lawyers will need a place to go. You don't think the new capos and their crews won't need legal defense?
  12. Thats likely the reason why his evangelical base is buying them.
  13. Sure the economy was "better" the self admitted "King of Debt" piled up $23,500 in additional debt for every man, woman and child in America during his presidency. With nothing to show for it.. As to your story about personal debt. For someone who rails against President Biden's federal spending. Which is used for the benefit all of America. Personal credit card debt are personal purchasing decisions by individuals freely made. Like when you buy a new AR-15 for your kids on your Chase rewards card. Or when trump pays for "entertainment" at his local "Big Titties R-US" strip club. In this example you'll have something to show for your spending. trump, well he'll never change his stripes. Well not until:
  14. Brent, Brent! Why do you insist upon using FOX ideas to guide your thinking? Change in Total U.S. Debt by President trump= 33.1% change in the amount of $6.7 trillion and President Biden= 8.8% change and $2.5 trillion. President Biden will actually have infrastructure to show for that spending. trump nothing but some jet exhaust from the engines of billionaires.
  15. The foundations of American conservative ideology has morphed into distrust of government. Washington, no all forms of government are nothing but a parasite upon the freedoms of Americans for them. The government doesn't function, politicians who are from the other side are all corrupt. This is unique to US conservatives. It has swung from 90% who trusted the government to handle domestic issues in 2002 to 17% who trust it today, twenty years later. G.W. Bush was the president in 1991 when the percentage of government spending as a percentage of the economy(gdp) was 36%.. Last year it was 36%. Its too bad that propaganda has blinded you to facts.
  16. VVVVVVVVVV See below to discover the truth. VVVVVVV Yes whacked out cultists are common to both. Once again SC has shown trump loving posters here that they miss the essence of conservative thinking.
  17. Lady Liberty keeps her blindfold on as she cries for the state of American justice. A rich White guy with 78.75 million shares of DJT stock sits $10 a share richer this morning alone than he did yesterday afternoon. She sees his new grifting of bibles, shoes, etc. to prey upon the weak minded cultists that whoreship him. He has figured out how to milk the cows dry. How to laugh at judgements and sanctions. Now recognizing what a lifetime of scamming the system has taught him.
  18. Sorry you're wrong. It stands for Donald and Jesus, Triumph. His new God Bless the USA bibles were created because the bible is his favorite book according to his website. "Make America pray again" is the logo. Get yours for only $59.99 and let Donald help you save your soul.
  19. trump has succeeded again. Trump Media lost $49 million in the first nine months of last year, with $3.4 million in revenue. Its stock is trading today and trump's net worth is up $900 million based upon the trading price today. His golden gift from Jeffrey Yass is now valued at $3.9 billion. The listing on his stock DJT. Presumably his MAGA base wants to be shareholders with him and all get rich together.
  20. 2023 sets another record in teen shootings "The total number of fatal shootings involving teenagers rose sharply in Florida and across the U.S. in 2020, according to data from the Gun Violence Archive, dipping in 2021 before rising again in 2022 and reaching a new high in 2023. Much of the violence is clustered in densely populated areas like South Florida." A quote from a law firm eh? Why not use real facts? I guess if you want to wear the MAGA hat and stand next to DeSantis b.s. from an imaginary lawyer will work. Last year DeSantis was also called out for making false statements about gun violence in Florida.
  21. Philadelphia area billionaire Jeffrey Yass’ firm was the largest institutional shareholder as of December in the company that has merged with Truth Social, former President Donald Trump’s social media company. "The biggest donor in this U.S. election cycle is Jeffrey Yass, a libertarian trading firm owner who started off as a professional poker player and is now a major investor in TikTok's Chinese owner ByteDance. Philadelphia-based Yass has donated more than $46 million to Republican causes so far in the 2024 election cycle, data from political donations tracker OpenSecrets shows." Five days after meeting Yass trump did his U-turn on banning TicToc Selling the presidency has already benefited trump to the tune of $3 billion and the election is still months away. Yass owns $21 billion in ByteDance and TicToc stock.
  22. Putin's FSB, the propaganda network for Putin. Has just come out stating that the terrorists were trying to flee to Ukraine. The GOP will soon endorse the idea that IS and the Nazi's in Ukraine are political relatives.
  23. The Teflon Don has done it again. His media merger has gone ahead which puts $300 million cash into his Trump Media company and $3 billion in paper profits into his name. This on the same week where he was rewarded for: U.S. District Judge Aileen Cannon, who is overseeing Donald Trump's classified documents case in Florida. "Some commentators have described Cannon’s order as 'unusual.' I would use words like wacko, crazy, loony, nutty, ridiculous, and outlandish, and my terms are probably understatements," Bennett Gershman, a Pace University law professor and former New York prosecutor, told Salon. Rewarded again for his partizan judicial appointments.
  24. Donald Trump and the GOP successfully trawling for imbeciles every hour of every day.
  25. Well..... sort of. In Brent's case he was ripped off. But hey all of trump's students at Trump U were ripped off. Bernie Madoff's clients were ripped off. Brent went to school as a genuine student eager to learn. You shouldn't blame the victim for how it all turned out. John went to the most prestigious which was expensive. Sometimes saving money isn't all its cracked up to be.
