  1. Trump Said 'If There's a Concrete Wall in Front of You, Go Around It' in a 2004 Speech and People Are Starting to Notice http://time.com/5499234/trump-2004-wall-speech/ trump tells how to bypass walls at 12:43 https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=1&v=MQqjSPsvA0E Even in 2004 every second statement he makes is a lie.
  2. You can count on that. Perhaps reflect on Luke 6:42 in that case. New York 9:11 Benghazi 9:11-12 I have to acknowledge, concede and bow down. Both of you are getting quite good at all this. You are both ready for the UK parliament.
  3. The Snopes page has links to video as well: https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/trackdown-trump-character-wall/ WTF God sure works in mysterious ways. He warns about crooked snake oil salesmen. Then sends one to test the integrity of US Christians and they go for it.
  4. Why don't you ask the GOP Congressman whose district includes 820 miles along the Mexican border? https://www.businessinsider.com/gop-rep-will-hurd-represents-more-of-the-border-than-anyone-else-and-opposes-trumps-wall-2019-1 This republican has all of the answers. Put him, Pelosi and Schumer in a room together and a comprehensive agreement on southern border security could be ascertained in a day. He was featured in a 20 minute interview the other day on CNBC. Every answer was spot on. He knows the issues.
  5. It was an honest question? Your second two sentences subsequent to the above(?). Define your question as a lie. Obviously I was foolish to imagine the possibility that you were molded differently than Marc, trump, etc.
  6. IMO a chain link fence is appropriate. So it would slow down intentional foot traffic and prohibit vehicle transit. Democrats have no issue with a fence. $50 billion for a wall that you can dig under, or climb over. Both in short order. Is stupid. No offense intended. The latest versions of trump's "steel barrier" aka wall. Can be climbed over using a ladder in two minutes. Five or six strong men can tunnel under trump's proposed steel wall in, perhaps two hours. Subsequently traffic under the wall is a couple seconds delay. Israel has up to 25' high one foot thick concrete walls. That and underground sensors to prevent tunneling.Only a similar wall will defeat any amount of effort by a determined individual with 1/2 a brain. What you don't acknowledge. What trump refuses to acknowledge. Is that overstays by properly documented visa holders is a bigger source of illegals. Than those that cross the southern border. Plus the fifty or more talking points by trump to sell a stupid election lie. p.s. I thought by the tome of one of your posts last week that you were starting to see the light. That perhaps FOX was turned off for a couple days. ?? p.s.s. Recent reporting has trump hiring 17 new lawyers in the WH to handle all the investigations. All part his job creation promises?
  7. Additionally it fundamentally shows that the learning and adaption modes of the brain have not become rigid. I personally rail against stupid old white men. Even though women, young and other races. Can all exhibit wrong, inflexible ideas and thinking process. When I reply to Marc about factually wrong ideas and statements. Its partially because I think there is still hope. But also because there is still flexibility in the minds of the trump fence sitters. Maybe, hopefully. Finally, its refreshing to think that anyone actually reads the links that I post. Let’s teach 1 million teenagers how to spot fake news by 2020 https://thehill.com/opinion/technology/424392-lets-teach-1-million-teenagers-how-to-spot-fake-news-by-2020 "That’s why this year MediaWise, which is funded by Google.org, will be teaching a new generation of kids to become skilled evaluators of digital content.... Manipulated photos and videos flood social media, hoaxers are able to compete with legitimate news sources, and foreign countries are attacking our country with disinformation. It’s no wonder teens are so confused as to what to believe online. It has reached a chronic level, too. In a 2016 study from Stanford University, researchers evaluated students' ability to assess information sources. The researchers described the results as "dismaying," "bleak" and "[a] threat to democracy." MediaWise wants to change this, though. As part of the Google News Initiative, it aims to teach 1 million teenagers how to spot fake news on the internet by 2020, with at least half of them coming from underserved or low-income communities. “If misinformation on the internet is a disease,” says Katy Byron, editor and program manager of MediaWise, “then MediaWise is like the Red Cross.” This will be a challenge. Because spotting fake news requires not only a open, critical mind. But more importantly a broad enough range of information to set a initial alarm bell, so to speak off. A warning that sets a person off into the internet to find out if something is true or not. I used to subscribe to the Economist. But i had to give it up because it took too long to read. At page three there would be a story on aluminum production overcapacity. So off i would go searching the aluminum markets to find the missing facts of the story. Three to four hours later I could turn to page four. It was like a disease . but the Economist still sends me free offers.
  8. Fox News’ Shep Smith fact-checks Trump address https://thehill.com/homenews/media/424474-fox-newss-shep-smith-immediately-fact-check-trump-address Fox News host Shepard Smith fact-checked President Trump’s prime-time address on border security shortly after it ended on Tuesday night. Smith pushed back on some of the president's claims following his 10-minute speech, including statistics about violent crime and murder rates committed by undocumented immigrants. “Government statistics show that there is less violent crime by the undocumented immigrant population than by the general population,” Smith said." With the Mueller report coming. Is FOX starting to walk away from its poster child?

  12. And the so-called more respected one, as you put it, is more corrupt Troooling. Your glorious leader has had his own Jeff Sessions on the job for two years. He could have ordered any investigation he wanted. He also could have used the flimsiest of pretenses to have charges laid. Yet you repeat the same Fox/Breitbart lies. You don't seem to tire of such repeated behavior either. mmmm The Definition of Insanity is https://www.psychologytoday.com/intl/blog/in-therapy/200907/the-definition-insanity-is "The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results." ... people use it in the service of avoidance, which is a defense mechanism. Rather than facing their fears, they grab on to this saying for protection against possible failure, pain or rejection. Some examples:... Perseveration: the pathological, persistent repetition of a word, gesture, or act." So its a coping mechanism that you use to avoid the acceptance of being wrong. Same for Hillary. She could have been charged by Sessions. In fact wasn't a promise made to "lock her up".? Why has he refused to do it? answer: Go back to see your psychological self defense mechanism above.
  13. "Our member Pharos has undertaken a research about the existende of FGM in Siria, 'Female genital mutilation in Syria? An inquiry into the existence of FGM in Syria'. Syria is not listed by the World Health Organization (WHO) as a country in which FGM has been documented as a traditional practice. With a growing number of Syrian nationals seeking asylum in the Netherlands, the question arose whether or not FGM is prevalent in (parts of) Syria. This was also due to a message spread by the UN that ISIS was ordering FGM on women living in the so-called caliphate. The intended outcome for this study was to explore the possible existence of FGM in the Syrian context. The research activities did not lead to substantiated information that FGM is a traditional practice in Syria" http://www.endfgm.eu/resources/studies/female-genital-mutilation-in-syria/ Immigrants are not typically attacking Jews in Germany. Right wing extremists are. Immigrants generally are not far right. Certainly anti-immigration Germans frequently use the arguments. Like other anti-immigrant right wingers. That they only emigrate to live off western social programs. "Interior Minister Horst Seehofer said that 1,504 anti-Semitic offences were reported in 2017, up from 1,468 in 2016, though he said there had been fewer attacks on hostels housing refugees. "It is not surprising that the so-called 'imported anti-Semitic crimes' are rising - even if at a lower level. But I want to make clear that almost 95 percent of anti-Semitic crimes in 2017 had a right-wing motive," said Mr Seehofer." https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2018/05/08/anti-semitic-crimes-increase-germany/ You may have a case for immigrants causing a increase in crime. 14. Castrol 0-40 to 5-40 full synthetic oil. Is the modern answer to block heaters. It will flow at -40 centigrade like conventional oil does at plus 5. A good battery and synthetic oil and almost anything will start at -40. In addition the oil will start lubricating the engine as fast as if it was plugged in. All the wimps here squawking about some cold. Sounds like a flock of mallards the first time the pond freezes. 15. That hardly explains the Mayflower Ron. But you did not really answer my question. What would you do to save YOUR family? Oh Ron! Your studies have been deficient. 16. I thought that she was poised and refreshing. Although some of her economic ideas are impractical, poorly researched, if not outright mistakes. On balance I think she is an enthusiastic, articulate counterbalance to the dangerous ideas of the old, conservative guard of the republican elite. The moderating influences of committee and experience. Will hopefully put some sound economics behind some of her more extreme ideas. What she brings is honesty, integrity and a purity of purpose. As evidenced by her refusal to accept lobby money. With the exception of small amounts of union monies. Her refusal to be swayed by established special interest groups. She is a great example of WHY democracy will always triumph over central control of the state. Why diversity is strenght. "Ocasio-Cortez attended Yorktown High School, graduating in 2007,[16] where she won second prize in the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair with a microbiology research project on the effect of antioxidants on C. elegans' lifespan.[17] As a result, the International Astronomical Union named a small asteroid after her: 23238 Ocasio-Cortez.[18][19] In high school, she took part in the National Hispanic Institute's Lorenzo de Zavala (LDZ) Youth Legislative Session. She later became the LDZ Secretary of State while she attended Boston University. Ocasio-Cortez had a John F. Lopez Fellowship.[20] In 2008, while Ocasio-Cortez was a sophomore at Boston University, her father died of lung cancer.[21][22] During college, she was an intern in the immigration office of U.S. Senator Ted Kennedy.[23] She graduated cum laude from Boston University's College of Arts and Sciences in 2011 with a bachelor's degree in international relations and a minor in economics.[20][24][25]" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alexandria_Ocasio-Cortez She is no Angela Merkel, or Obama in intellect. But she is only 29 years old. She makes trump look like a burned out, dusty, old, incandescent light bulb. Next to a 100 watt powered up LED.
  17. I never thought I would defend Ron but here goes. I don't think diversity for diversity's sake is always necessarily a good thing. This is a mistake that the modern left makes. We, and I mean the western world have a certain way of doing things which has made our culture the dominant one. We also have certain values in our society which are non-negotiable(Equality of Man and Woman, Basic Human Rights etc.) Bringing in lots of people from cultures that do not share these values and ways of doing things leads to conflict. Esp. looking at it from the European perspective I absolutely fail to see where increased diversity is making anything better for society as a whole. This is especially true if diversity is increased very quickly and against the wishes of a lot of the native population. If anybody could give me an example that states the opposite I'd be very interested. Well certainly Germany,, yourself ,together with Angela Merkel, would have ideas on this subject. "Germany received a total of about 1.35 million migrants during this period – including an estimated 850,000 Muslims." 2010-2016. The Growth of Germany’s Muslim Population http://www.pewforum.org/essay/the-growth-of-germanys-muslim-population/ The concept that you refer to is called assimilation. Whereby immigrants adopt the values and norms of the native population. Rather than holding onto concepts of conduct and thinking from their native culture. Establishing enclaves whereby their native culture is rigidly held, Sometimes in violation of the new country's laws and norms. You have a valid point and every country who has allowed massive immigration. Has had to face the same issues. It has cost Mrs Merkel the leadership of her party. The conventional norms of immigration policy for most western countries. Provides demonstrable economic gains.Because education, financial assets, etc. count favorably in the citizenship application. In your case, I assume you mean the massive acceptance of Muslim refugees fleeing the Syrian war. Germany has values described as the Protestant work ethic, A "Soziale Marktwirtschaft" or that the economy and society are interdependent. An idea that escapes many Americans. By interdependent, that is to mean not driven by exclusive self interest. For some Americans, freedom from others depending on the state for any purpose. Is the sole driving force of their political views. Germany also has the hangover, baggage, or a brighter term, lessons. Arising from WW2 and fascism. All of which created, as a unintended effect, a relatively pure German identity. Similar to what Japan has created by almost eliminating immigration. This touches on some of those concepts of assimilation, the drag of immigration on the welfare state and diversity. Debating diversity https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2007/oct/30/debatingdiversity There is this view from a very conservative magazine. Although still left of Ron. Is Diversity a Strength, and Should Strength Be a Core Value? https://www.nationalreview.com/2018/01/diversity-our-strength-it-true/ America's diversity is our Army's strength By Secretary of the Army Eric Fanning September 30, 2016 https://www.army.mil/article/174964/americas_diversity_is_our_armys_strength Further reading: Is Germany a Model for Managers? https://hbr.org/1992/09/is-germany-a-model-for-managers IMO your question is well founded, just because phrases are common from the right and the left. Dosn't mean that they should not be questioned, debated and modified in their interpretation.
  18. Pentagon chief of staff Kevin Sweeney resigns https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-46773138 Department of Defence chief of staff Kevin Sweeney has resigned, a month after the Defence Secretary James Mattis announced his departure. Rear Admiral Sweeney said in a statement that "the time is right to return to the private sector". He is now the third senior Pentagon official to announce his resignation since President Donald Trump announced US forces would leave Syria. His announcement comes days after General Mattis left his post early, after initially planning to stay in his role until February. His departure adds to a sense of uncertainty surrounding the Trump administration's defence and foreign policies since the surprise announcement of the planned withdrawal from Syria, analysts say. Department spokeswoman Dana White also left her post after the president's surprise announcement on Syria, as did Brett McGurk, the presidential special envoy to the global coalition fighting so-called Islamic State." Once again French champagne and the best beluga caviar is served in the Kremlin. Life has been good to President Putin for the last two years. Kompromat, its better than gold or diamonds. A Theory of Trump Kompromat https://www.newyorker.com/news/swamp-chronicles/a-theory-of-trump-kompromat "Kompromat can be a single, glaring example of wrongdoing, recorded by someone close to the Kremlin and then used to control the bad actor. It can be proof of an embarrassing sex act. Darden believes it is unlikely that sexual kompromat would be effective on Trump. Allegations of sexual harassment, extramarital affairs, and the payment of hush money to hide indiscretions have failed to significantly diminish the enthusiasm of Trump’s core supporters. But another common form of kompromat—proof of financial crimes—could be more politically and personally damaging. Trump has made a lot of money doing deals with businesspeople from the former Soviet Union, and at least some of these deals bear many of the warning signs of money laundering and other financial crimes. Deals in Toronto, Panama, New York, and Miami involved money from sources in the former Soviet Union who hid their identities through shell companies and exhibited other indications of money laundering. In the years before he became a political figure, Trump acted with impunity, conducting minimal corporate due diligence and working with people whom few other American businesspeople would consider fit partners. During that period, he may have felt protected by the fact that U.S. law-enforcement officials rarely investigate or prosecute Americans who engage in financial crimes overseas. Such cases are also maddeningly difficult to prove, and the F.B.I. has no subpoena power in other countries. If, however, someone had evidence that proved financial crimes and shared it with, say, the special counsel, Robert Mueller, other American law-enforcement officials, or the press, it could significantly damage Trump’s business, his family, and his Presidency."
  19. So you voted for Lucifer, a serpent, knowing that he would bring about the end to times? Is your life so bad, The religious ideology so all encompassing. That even though Matthew 24:36, Mark 13:32), state that no man knows when the end of times is coming. Only god knows. " I must be about my Father's business every day. Readiness comes from my spending more time with God, studying His Word, talking and listening to Him in prayer" That instead of helping the poor refugees walking 000's of miles to reach your church and safety. Doing the work of god's business. You want to take it upon yourself to be tricked by Lucifer. To vote for him. To speed it up so you can experience it personally? When you know that god will bring it about when he decides the time is right. Not when the serpent wants it. Shame.
  20. US politics is not noted for having a lot of class these days. Sometimes stuff like this ends up in a video. Too bad, the right wing snowflakes are offended. Well one could reasonably argue that the Ds should remain civil and polite. Take the 'higher ground' morally. The problem with that is that Trump is nothing more than a thug and bully. He only understands force. He needs to be 'punched in the nose' (figuratively speaking). Anyone who tries to reason with him or debate rationally will be shouted down & ridiculed (Lock Her Up!!! anyone?). Unfortunately, sometimes to wrestle a pig, you have to get down into the mud. Younger people, trump supporters, appreciate this type of dialogue. Bravo to Rashida Tlaib, Ocasio-Cortez and the rest of the intelligent, articulate new house members. In this case wrestling with pigs means sitting in boring committee rooms. Endlessly preparing to question and review trump enterprise documents over-billing for tax deductible services and services not rendered. Its sickening to think trump supporters use the word "class" in the same sentence as trump. A sexual child-leering, serial sexual molester, adulterer, admitted charity thief, admitted fraudster, con-artist and liar. Yeah Class. A new definition on how to distract. 22. Plus Trump gives his salary to charity every year. Explain how that is relevant in the slightest. And meanwhile the Trump Foundation closes down under court supervision on account of financial irregularities (acting as a piggybank for Trump himself). Ka-Ching Donald Trump is raking in big bucks from emoluments foreign and domestic. https://www.usnews.com/opinion/articles/2018-03-05/how-is-donald-trump-profiting-from-the-presidency-let-us-count-the-ways "We can start with the truly big money. Forbes' Dan Alexander and Matt Drange estimated last month that Trump rakes in at least $175 million annually from commercial tenants like the state-owned Industrial & Commercial Bank of China. ... at least three dozen known Trump tenants have "meaningful relationships with the federal government, from contractors to lobbying firms to regulatory targets.... Foreign governments have been quick to figure out how to stay on the president's good side. They've "donated public land, approved permits and eased environmental regulations for Trump-branded developments, creating a slew of potential conflicts as foreign leaders make investments that can be seen as gifts or attempts to gain access to the American president through his sprawling business empire," McClatchy's Anita Kumar reported in January. The Chinese government has granted Trump at least 39 trademarks, some of which had been previously rejected, since he took office; Ivanka Trump, the president's daughter and senior adviser, has also gotten at least seven since she joined the administration. It's good to be the king or in the royal family.... An investigation by USA Today last summer found that in the 12 months after he clinched the GOP presidential nomination in 2016, "70% of buyers of Trump properties were limited liability companies – corporate entities that allow people to purchase property without revealing all of the owners' names. That compares with about 4% of buyers in the two years before." ... there are the day-to-day ways Trump rakes in the dough by mixing and matching his presidential activities with his own properties. As mentioned last week, he spent one third of his first year in office visiting his own commercial properties. And he wasn't alone: According to a January report by Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington, or CREW, more than 100 executive branch officials and members of Congress also visited Trump properties during his first year in office; at least 40 special interest groups held events at Trump properties; and at least 11 foreign government's paid Trump businesses. The Kuwaiti Embassy, for example, held a National Day celebration at Trump's Washington, D.C. hotel last year and then again last month. As one Asian diplomat told The Washington Post way back in the early days after the 2016 election, going to Trump's hotel only makes good sense: "Why wouldn't I stay at his hotel blocks from the White House, so I can tell the new president, 'I love your new hotel!' Isn't it rude to come to his city and say, 'I am staying at your competitor?... And who is footing the bill for the lawyers defending Trump's ability to turn a buck (or millions of them) off of his office? Why the U.S. taxpayers are. Of course.'" I will stop now but the article goes on to explain dozens of more scams, emoluments violations, etc. committed by the trump crime family. Most of which are the subjects, rightfully so, of three separate investigations. The US house of representatives, NYAG and the Mueller.
