Yeah, I came across Cryptonomicon by accident right when it came out - forked over the bicks, got the huge mucking hardback and tore through it - probably my 2nd favorite of his after Snowcrash. Kewl....I am making that next on my "Stephenson" list, thanks.

While driving to the DZ, I listened to books on tape- The tapes are scattered about my car, so I relistened to random parts of Neuromancer by William Gibson and also Fight Club Chuck Palahniuk.Quote Are the ones you're reading unabridged?

sounds like somone who mediates culture, not a critic. Oh, and reductive. There is a big difference. Funny that you mention Kurosawa...the most Western of all Japnese directors. As oppossed to say, Ozu, Mizoguchi, Ichikawa, Oshima, etc.

"Snowcrash," by Neal Stephenson Quote read Cryptonomicon and was REALLY impressed. He's so brilliantly funny. EXCELLENT!

a little behind schedule for someone as tough as Tony, but maybe that 18 months away from CTU made him soft. Tigra, yer ok in my book!

I'm wondering if Lynn McGill is going to overcome the mutiny and be reinstated as head of CTU. Quote While stranger things have happned, I doubt it. After he was so dead wrong about the motorcade thingey, he finally fucked up beyond repair. What I am curious about is how his sister and druggie bf are going to exploit his keycard and finally seal the deal on his professional coffin. Stick a fork in him, he's done.

What else are you missing? The feeling of impending doom that you should be having right about now, I suppose. Walt exactly. You should be thinking "this can only end poorly", then forget the whole idea on your way to a wine bar next to a art house movie theatre. Mention Harmone Korine while ordering a glass of pinot and you are "in there". bada-bing bada-bang.
