  1. Ummm... right . There's a lot more to it that you apparently know nothing about. Sounds like you're just jealous that she's not having your baby.
  2. Hmmm...the only camera I have I think only has some wrist strap and is one of those with "film" in it. Don't know when I'll get the opportunity to try it again. I was thinking of visiting Cloverdale Sat or Sun next weekend for the first time this year and they now have a Turbo 206. The strut may be too far away to try it. Packerboy - your's was the avatar I was thinking about.
  3. Was at Davis on Saturday and the wait to use my last ticket was over 2 hours...>5 loads backed up. Crazy busy. So they fired up the Cessna-172. Had a nice pretty see through door on it. So, Karl and I were going to chase each other around and I thought I'd try the bat hang. I went onto the step, held the strut, and then put my body up and my feet over the wing. I felt that I had to hold on to the strut to keep from falling off though - didn't want to exit "prematurely" when Karl wasn't ready yet, so I don't know if I could even hold on with just my feet. So, did it count? I don't have video - only Karl and Princess who was flying it saw. Does it count if I held onto the strut?
  4. The Sabre210: I would advise getting a pocket sown on to this to help slow the openings. Have a qualified rigger (maybe need a Senior or Master rigger to do this - not sure) and get their opinion. Otherwise, make sure you roll that nose well and quarter the slider well. I have a Sabre as well, but it is a 120 and the smaller sizes don't have the hard opening reputation like the larger ones.
  5. 0:3:3 First jump in Skydance's c-172. First bat hang from the wing too. Too bad I can't "prove it". First 18K jump and O2 use (actually was 17.5K).
  6. I have no idea what this post meant, but it was kinda funny.
  7. Addicted after 1 jump? Finish AFF and then you can say you're addicted. I'll let others answer the manifest job question. I would just say "it depends".
  8. I think I have one. After getting my Alti-2 stolen along with some other gear, I bought this for $30 at the Action Air shop. Not fancy, but seems to work. I showed it to Cly, the DZO at Byron in NorCal and he was wearing the same thing on a jump....says he thinks it is 30 years old. I don't know - it seems to work after over 100 jumps.
  9. I have no problems with my 120...but it is a 120 and not a 190.
  10. So...are you saying that with all your gear on you weigh about 200? If so, try considering a 190.
  11. Hmmm...I'm tempted to be a traitor this year if the weather is nice.
  12. No, but really wanted to one time....and haven't even had that many dates! The one I wanted to bail on had two kids (I knew it beforehand, but was willing to go out anyway). Before dinner while waiting for out table at the bar, I found out that her mom had been married 5 times. (I wanted to run out screaming from the bar right then but didn't.) Then during dinner, I found out that her dad had also been married 5 times....and two of those marriages of the parents were to each other. Scaaaaaaaaary.
  13. Someone can buy my old gear. I need the money to buy accessory items (jumpsuit, alti, etc.). I have a perfectly airworthy Talon 1 w/ Sabre1-150 and MicroRaven 150 I can sell you in the low 1000 range.
  14. So, in other words, it made even less since to continue the Diablo then it would have been for GM to continue the Oldsmobile.
  15. So...is this to imply that there usually is NOT beer there...despite there being a full bar on the premises? Just being facetious.
  16. Thanks for reminding me about those mellow Yellow & Red he has...pfffft. He should talk!
  17. er...dunno what's worse. Just one of the many jealous people here. I expect more support from the person who gave me my first tandem ride (and the better of the two).
  18. No way, man! Dark purple - aka "blackberry".
  19. I jumped Ilea's Safire2 the other day...and it opened about the same as my Sabre1-120 usually does. Go figure. Worst? Probably the PD-210 I jumped while a student. Boring. Oh, that PD-235 probably was worse...I told those on the ground to take a nap while I descended. I may not even have flared when I landed.
  20. ...and a way better looking purple rig than Remi's! Hah! These were pics from a phone, so not the best.
  21. I like the ones that kind of stick out...like on my new Wings.
  22. So, what does the combo square to fully elliptical make the turns behave? [Note: not that I have any experience with anything more elliptical than a Pilot/Sabre2/Safire2] Do they start slow but then really whip around? What about compared to a Stilleto? I would think the square part would have some type of counteracting behaviour. You get a sort of schizofrenic canopy: either it opens real straight (like a triathlon) or it turns and DIVES like say a vengeance might. It is VERY sensitive to weight input. On a same size spectre/triathlon/safire/pilot/vengeance I can hardly perform a harness turn, only with much effort, this thing does harness turns when I don't want ' em BTW not all HP canopies are that elliptical, the crossbraced ones are really not. And trapezium would really be a better term for the shape of a diablo. Sounds funky...guess Diablo is a good name for it. Sounds like something I'm not really missing.
