    No shit!!! I haven't been above about 15.5K in a jump, but that was f-in scary! The girl "helping" the guy out of the plane seemed like, "It'll be ok...just crawl out the door into the nice [bed of] air and you'll be fine." I guess that is the loss of judgment part.

    Yeah, I'm scared to pack a brand new canopy. Right now, while getting my 600 jump Sabre1-120...into an actual 120 d-bag (and not the 150 d-bag previously) isn't too tough, closing the new container is bitch! Getting a good enough grip on the pull-up cord is tough.

    Kimora looks like a sweet dog. I like sweet animals. Those dogs that ruined it sound like the dogs at Byron. Nice, but can be trouble.

    I think it was just his first jump post AFF - no instructor, etc. Was an honest mistake. We've all done it. I'm glad it happened to him during his first jump. It won't happen again. I had several of those...probably good that they were mostly at a cessna DZ though. Less chance for something bad to happen.

    For some reason, while I was reading this I got confused...and thought waltappel and popsjumper were the same person - and I've never met them! I guess they just both come off online as dirty old men.

    Don't mean to sound...condescending or rude, but to me, someone asking a question like this probably shouldn't be jumping an elliptical canopy like a Stilletto. I don't jump anything elliptical myself.

    Why get a non-solid reserve? You're almost NEVER (hopefully) going to even use it. You shouldn't care - just that it WORKS!
