  1. Watching Tim land it before actually tempts me to try it out. Maybe I'll succumb to peer pressure one of these days and jump the 'dactyl.
  2. 0:3:# 1 not quite full altitude 2-way and 2 H&Ps in the rain. My first time using my Solo audible.
  3. Yup. Worrying about the other two canopies on my second H&P load on Saturday (me at about 1.3, Roy at 2+ and the other guy at 1) was pretty easier. Even though I was fighting wind and couldn't setup for the normal LH pattern, I didn't feel too guilty about my RF pattern since Roy had landed before I really got into my downwind and the other guy was way above and behind me. A full King air load? more difficult. Big boogie traffic? a lot to think about and consider.
  4. Definite maybe. I may have a conflict that day, but not sure.
  5. Except that Bassinger is a woman and 53, so rather moot.
  6. Bottom of page: http://www.faa.gov/pilots/training/airman_education/aerospace_physiology/ Beale in NorCal...to bad it wasn't at Travis since it is closer. I know! We can have a NorCal skydivers trip to the Beale altitude chamber!
  7. I called, Conni said in a sweet voice when asked about the winds, "34.". So I said, I love you guys, but no thanks - I'll save the gas money.
  8. At least this confirms that I didn't miss anything by not wasting gas driving out. At least I was at a nice BBQ Sunday evening.
  9. The youtube movie accident clip (2 sec of just the crash) is in the Parabatix video.

As in...the dealer is paying YOU for it? Sure! If you are the buyer, then heck no!
  11. Saskia, If I were to go to your country, would they not let me jump my own rig then? I have about 70 jumps on my Sabre-120 now and have no "issues" I can think of landing it (just skills/experience to learn I guess like anyone). Just curious.
  12. I think Brian and Leah are the coolest skydiving couple....maybe Connie & Vic top them. Hard to say - both are really cool.
  13. Are you the same Stefan who showed up at Byron on Sunday? If so, thanks for the nice 8-way.
  14. I'll sell you my 95 Talon for $500...and can give you a deal if you want my 1000+ jump Sabre-150 and MicroRaven-150 as well.
  15. Wuss. I have scoliosis (all 4 - hunchback, sway and some lateral curve) and took a PDR-126 to terminal today. Rather brisk, but otherwise no ill effects. It would have been nice though if the winds were 20 mph less though so I could practice flaring an F111 7-cell.
  16. Oh, our 3-pt 8-way kicked ass!
  17. 0:2:0 Some of those Byron wimps didn't want to do another jump in 20+ mph winds with high 20's gusts (Vick said a 29 hit when I landed with this PDR-126 demo). Cowards! Nah, the winds suck...and the turnout today was low. Bummer. I wanted to get in 4-5.
  18. Yes...or so I've heard. I'm sure something turbine-ish will be running most of those days if not every day that week.
  19. I was at Perris on Friday, 12/29/06 and Don showed up. Evelyn and I talked with him for a couple minutes. Nice guy. I think it was the first time he had shown up in a few months. He was there with some friends to do tandems and a film crew. I don't know the purpose.
  20. That is a bunch of crapola. Agree. It may be a USPA dropzone, but the DZO as a business owner should have the right to refuse service to anyone, even if said DZO is an doing themselves a disservice.
  21. Did an 18K jump (someone's Altitrack said 17.5K) this weekend. I had this video and ensuing discussion on my mind during the whole ride up. Yes, there was oxygen (those nose tubes) from 13k+. Thanks again for posting.
