2007 Dropzone.com/Skydive Arizona Holiday Boogie
Elisha replied to bbarnhouse's topic in Events & Places to Jump
Definitely a possibility...can I crash one of your RW loads again Remi? -
I don't have cable, so no. It's been almost two years, so the withdrawl is almost non-existent.
-
I got more than that, but you'll have to ask attenders of a certain boogie if you want to know what.
-
Mmmmm.....ANOVA tables....

girl, I have a bachelor's in stats. If this is a stats class at a JC, then it would be a piece of cake for me. This beautiful weather may force me to go jumping a consecutive weekend. If you bring your homework to Byron on Saturday I be able to spend a few minutes helping you,

Just noticed this.... Don't know if the publicity is good or bad per se. I haven't read the who article yet. article

0:4:0 2 Sits. 2 RW's where 1 didn't work (2 of 9 went low - not me) and 1 did (cool bi-pole donut ala Mad John). Good jumping times.

Which DZ`s in your state accept Skyride?
Elisha replied to Thanatos340's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
What's up with all of these California DZ's who take Skyride? I believe Skydance does (did?) as well, so if so, that would be all the Bay Area players besides Lodi (pity the fool who takes a skyride ticket there and sees the $100 tandem price). I've seen other services selling tandems for Monterey Bay at Sportsbasement, but there was nothing untoward about it. Actually, I think they are the only NorCal DZ to NOT accept Skyride certificates. All the others probably just fear that Lodi would take all the business if they didn't accept them. -
Question to skydivers from Joe Jennings
Elisha replied to JoeJ's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
This is an aspect that appeals to me as well, although Lippy's story resonates a little more overall. Maybe you could even do a short commerical spot like: Hi, My name is Joe. I work in media and I'm an alco...uhh....a skydiver. Hi, my name is Jane. I teach 1st grade and I'm an alco...uhh...a skydiver too. Hi, my name is David. I'm a mechanical engineer for Lockeed and I'm an alco...uhh...a skydiver too. Hi, my name is Mary. I perform open heart surgery and I'm an alco...uhhh...I jump out of airplanes on the weekend. Etc.... Just a thought. -
Not that I've read any of the HP books or movies, but...how does this news actually matter?
-
I have a low profile handle on mine too. After many jumps on mine and then jumping someone else's with a regular handle, the regular hand seemed to protrude completely across my belly such that I could easily accidentally pull it.

Were you not whining about finding a way to LEGALLY through work come to the USA just around a year ago when you had to go back to canuckland from Colorado? What are you waiting for? This doesn't sound like it should be that hard of a decision unless skydiving is taking a lesser role in your life.

Thanks - I appreciate it.
-
Yup - I have the ancient one as 'fast' showed.

The mortgage company I worked for shut down recently and I have turn in things that I brought home. For some reason, we can keep our RSA tokens. So...is there any use to keeping this thing that is on my keychain? Any fun n' games to be had?

I've had my DSL service (and the same e-mail account) through AT&T/Pacbell/SBC/AT&T for seven years now. When I moved about 10 miles away in April of '03 to buy my condo, they gave me another modem. So, I've had this same Speedstream 5100 for over 4 years now which is used through my Linksys wireless router. I was curious about my bill ($20 per month) and called customer service. They lady told me to go to 2wire.com to check my speed. From clicking on the speed meter at the top of the 2wire.com site, it says my bandwidth is >10 Mbps (got over 13 at one point) every time I run the test. Is the CS lady/AT&T trying blow smoke up my ass? Are they right? (well, they could be right but also blowing smoke up my ass) Do I really need to get another modem? If I do, would it really help? She told me to go to the AT&T store...and credit my phone bill $50. I guess I can just take the "free" $50 and not buy a modem if I don't want to.

Good. I haven't been there in a while myself. Old Chicago.....mmmm....

0:5:1 5 fun jumps at Byron...including my first 2-stack courtesy of Jose, Mr. former Golden Knight. I'm in the hole a case of beer now. Now if we could have chased down Debar and Bolt we could have 4-stacked it. Oh, and Lany was just blissfully unaware in the hangar and DIDN'T TAKE ANY PICTURES!

What?!?!? You don't eat meat! Since you and Brian are out of commission and need something to do, you can meet me in Petaluma sometime at this place. Check out the reviews from ChefMoz - better than Zachary's in Berkeley and on par with a neighborhood Pizza joint in Chi-town per an original Chicagoan. My personal favorite. It isn't cheap though.
-
Yikes! At least she was dressed in style when it happened! Heal up and hope to see you both soon.
-
OxyClean or better yet, bleach. Sorry, but this is a difficult one. Sucks.
-
How very nice of them to advertise something that is not available.

I've been collecting the state quarters when they come out just by finding them in change when buying stuff. Anyone know an actual STORE I can buy one (like Target or whatever)? Otherwise, I'll just buy one from Amazon.com. Thanks.

Woa. That's way too much work. These were just: 1) 3 random packs of "red, white and blue flowers" seeds and 2) a small piece of paper with seeds (wedding favor). I thought I would just plant them. ...and I hardly ever make brownies and NOT the kind that I think you're thinking of.
