To second Steve above (awesome - didn't know you were a rotary exchange student), I would emphasize rotary. My foster dad has been in rotary for over twenty years and my foster parents have hosted at least 15 students, while meeting countless more due to being heavily involved in district activities. I have met many of the students and visited them in Europe as well. I know in the local NorCal rotary clubs, students (those visiting America) usually have three families, which usually works out great. With my foster parents, many times the other families are ones that they know well already.

I haven't jumped since late October since I have been out of work.

In NorCal, there is a guy named Russel Jackson. He was running the snack bar at SkyDance for a little while. I haven't seen him in a while, but then I haven't even jumped in a couple of months due to no work. I think he has at least 1000 and is a good freeflyer. There is a guy who jumps at Byron, Davis and maybe elsewhere named Mike. Big guy, big smile and kinda quiet. I think he has around 200-300 or so.

After hearing of what to expect from the Mitchel clan from Krisanne, I would love to be 'you' up there too sometime. Nice meeting you in SF.

I have several Rodney Yee tapes that I don't use enough, but have recently been using them again. They can be found under the Gaiam label. I've also taken classes from time to time - many from a good friend of mine who teaches with a blend of Iyengar, Hatha and Ashtanga. I've probably taken around 30 Bikram classes too, but it has been about 3 years now since any Bikram. Bikram, since it is in a room heated from about 100 to 110 is like yoga boot camp. It gets you in shape. I have had scoliosis all my life and I really feel much better when I am consistent about practicing it several times a week. Pilates is also good and has many similar poses. I would say that any consistent, intense stretching practice would be beneficial. Just like with any sport, hobby, etc., you need to be consistent about it for it to help.

What if you don't know who he was or care?

Makes sense....similar to Waschmachine auf Deutsch.

Uh.....yeah, that was sweeeeeeet.

Sorry, but I didn't know that anyone actually cared about North Dakota. People live there?

Indefinite....until I get a job, most likely.

You don't NEED to get recurrent at Skydance, but it would be most convenient for you. Skydive Sac just opened up a few months ago.

I KNOW! I'm wondering who the heck did this!

NorCal DZ's or clubs besides Byron, Davis, Lodi?
Elisha replied to daremrc's topic in Events & Places to Jump
Thanks, once I have the means and hear that it has returned, I'll check it out. (Like I want to check out the new Skydive Sac sometime) -

I live in Santa Rosa too (actually, I used to - I live in Rohnert Park now)...and we have similar "stats". Santa Rosa DZ: deceased now for about 3 years (I did AFF there) Cloverdale: deceased since the spring, but I heard some rumor last night of trying to reopen it in the summer. I'll believe it when I'm in a plane about to exit. Skydance: outside Davis, CA. Has a PAC (or more). American Boogie in June every year is a hit. Great place - I have about 80 jumps there. Bay Area Skydiving: in Byron, CA. My home DZ. Great crowd. Has a King Air, but is rarely used now (getting old). Currently rent a PAC from Skydance. Lodi: cheap, cheap, cheap. Has an Otter, King Air and others. Monterrey: Great view. I think they still have their overpowerd King Air (C90GT). Hollister: Don't know much - stopped their once to jump, but the clouds moved in to quickly. -
Congrats, Beth! Thanks for all the hugs every time I see you...and all that other stuff others say! I just hope I get a job SOON so I can start skydiving again.

Ok, please forgive the ignorance, but is that really a Hooter's waitress, your daughter or Valinda (your wife)?

Black Mountain Pinot Noir - actually, one of the best budget Pinot's. $4.99 / bottle @Trader Joe's

I thought of the Prop 8 opponents/protesters when I saw the title. Whatever.

Thanks, Saskia. Just curious.

Just for kicks, what is the highest anyone here has loaded an original Sabre.....I'm just curious (I was impressed with hookitt's swoop on mine while I was jumping EgoMike's Xfire1-99 a few months ago, but hookitt has x10 jumps as me).
-
Do the crossfire1's and 2's scale this way as well? Thanks.

Hmmmm....don't think you can see Lake Berryessa from the plane at Lodi. Davis, yes, but not Lodi...but I digress. What mr_music11 said...just adding that if the weather is jumpable, then planes should be running whatever the day.

Former coworker named the female pitbull Bonnie and the big black & white boy cat was Clyde. She said that Clyde beat Bonnie up all the time.
