  1. In my search for a 280 canopy, what are the thoughts on the Icarus Equinox? There are no reviews, and the only thing equinox related in the search box is about the boogies. Im looking right now at the SOLO, Navigator, and Equinox. Is the lack of reviews a sign that its a POS, or just not marketed much? Postes r made from an iPad or iPhone. 3. I'm looking for anyone that might work for CPS , I read that nightjumps once worked there but he does not accept PM's. I've contacted them by phone but could not get past the person that answered the phone to someone who could help. Thanks Postes r made from an iPad or iPhone. 4. Ok thanks I'm also adding the safire 2 by Icarus to the list also. It's more hi performance but looks like it can be made in custom sizes Postes r made from an iPad or iPhone. Spelling and gramhair mistakes guaranteed move along,
  5. Talked to PD they said CPS makes the 280-300 MS parachutes, and when I talked to CPS they were bold in saying that they could not sell to the public, only military really...its a PD product made bigger and sold to the government for 4 times the price probbaly Postes r made from an iPad or iPhone. 6. Thanks for the reply, im waiting to hear from PD on it now about price and availability of them. Now on to finding a container that will hold a PD281 reserve and 300 main. Wings said their largest w-32 is too small, Sunpath said their odyssey will work but damn its expensive Edited to add UPT Vector v378 to the list of rigs that will fit that combo Postes r made from an iPad or iPhone. 7. The solo is availiable in 290, but not updated on the website, and the Silhouette is availiable in 280 and 300 as the Military Silhouette. Postes r made from an iPad or iPhone. Spelling and gramhair mistakes guaranteed move along,
  8. Ok here is the lowdown im looking for a new sport rig, and want everyones opinion. Ive talked to all the Reps, and read all the reviews/searches, but im not completely satisfied with what ive learned so far. Obviously demoing them all would be great if I could. All canopies will be in the 290-300sqft range, they are all hybrid canopies 0P topskin, with f111 bottoms loaded at 1.11:1 out the door. I have 200 jumps, and have jumped paraflite 370's, Flik 354, Manta 288, and a spectre 230(loaded too high for me 1.3:1) I have the option of getting one of the three listed canopies above. I would like soft openings, decent glide, good flare, and all will pack easily due to hybrid build design. They all will perform like student canopies when loaded like they should, which is what is bothering me. I want a large canopy that will be loaded appropriately for my jump numbers, but is not so sluggish and poor performing that I hate jumping it. What I have learned so far is that the SOLO has almost no reviews, and looks to be their student canopy. The Navigator, obviously is a student canopy and is a square design, and the lowest on my list at this point. I am still waiting back to hear from PD but they make the Silhouette in 280 and 300 for military jumpers, and seems to be the best performing one out of the three, what do you think? 9. That's what my rig has on it, been that way for 50 jumps plus whatever was put on it before me. It's nice and flexible and has no problem going through the grommets. Postes r made from an iPad or iPhone. Spelling and gramhair mistakes guaranteed move along,

  11. There has has has to have been a base wingsuiter land into a tree before, hell on the KL tower there was a guy deploying THROUGH a treetop while fully zipped Postes r made from an iPad or iPhone. Spelling and gramhair mistakes guaranteed move along,
  12. So by that advise if someone were to flare to a complete stall at 30 feet they are to continue to hold that stall, and not raise the toggles 1 inch? Postes r made from an iPad or iPhone. Spelling and gramhair mistakes guaranteed move along,
  13. I found they ran small. I had one 4 years ago that fit perfect, and ordered the EXACT same one when it was time to get a new one, and this one is tight. Its more oval shaped than the other one like the mold had been changed from the original one Postes r made from an iPad or iPhone. Spelling and gramhair mistakes guaranteed move along,

  16. Exactly the same for me it was about 110 gearing up for a 6 min call, 130 in the plane at takeoff, back down to 100 while climbing. jumprun was around 130, after deployment it was 170 and my wriststrap hit the stop button after I made a turn under canopy and stopped recording. I imagine it went down a good bit under canopy then came back up on final since we had a no wind landing that jump , and I knew I needed to time the flare right and run it out. 17. Not a camera a chest mounted heartrate monitor with watch type recorder. My rate was 118 just before exit, and 170 after deploying and clearing airspace. Always wondered how what it would be, now I know ;) Postes r made from an iPad or iPhone. Spelling and gramhair mistakes guaranteed move along,

  19. Got it thanks, that's the way I had it, but did not think there was any chance in hell it would be ok to just leave that loop that evens the lines out just hanging in the middle there. I guess plenty of jumps by many people have proved if your careful, its ok. Thanks again Postes r made from an iPad or iPhone. Spelling and gramhair mistakes guaranteed move along,
  20. I don't know if its been said yet, and I cant read 3 pages right now, but did anyone mention the easiest solution to the problem would be for ALL the DZO, ST&A, and Instructors, and other jumpers just sacking up and setting the people that are doing obviously stupid stuff straight, or they cant jump there? I have done it with a friends before that thought they could downsize faster than they should. Its been done to me (camera) and it works! Thanks DSE and Joe! You don't have to be a dick about it, but if it comes to that, do what you gotta do, if they decide to take their 99sq ft coming in sideways in the pattern cutting people off nylon rocket somewhere else then fine that's less broken or dead bodies at your DZ!
