    Just an FYI - per the TN statute, looks like it's a civil offense only, not a criminal offense, so I doubt either the police or the DA's office would get involved - that is, unless the DA's office happens to have a civil frauds division (most criminal prosecutors' offices don't). In most states, this would probably be handled by the state Attorney General's office's consumer protection division, so I'm presuming that's probably the case in TN, too. The DA and a couple of other departments are on it already. So if you don't think the DA will do anything, just sit back and watch.     Not caring one way or the other is one thing and is still somewhat respected, but someone who accepts skyride is doing nothing but promoting the scam. Just remember, us in Tennessee have a new law to stop the sLyride scam.     That's possible, I just don't see how someone could have hacked the website and get the email account as well unless they hacked into the owner's registrar account if the owner has the email and the hosting in the same account.     Does anyone happen to know what happened to DZO's.net? I tried to send out an email and a message came back that the email group does not exist.     We need to watch out, Thre's another skyride scam, or if it's not skyride, it's just like sLyride. it's http://www.lotsofadventures.com It's almost identical to the one that was recently posted here, www.fun4singles.com They are running radio commercials in Nashville for this company and advertising to offer Skydiving. I called them and acted as a customer inquiring about the skydiving, but to no surprise, they told me that I have to join their "Club" and then they will set up the skydiving IN Nashville. When I asked where in Nashville, they would not tell me. We all know that there is not a Skydive Center In Nashville, only Tullahoma and Russellville.     FYI, In Tennessee, Senator Rosalind Kurita Got Re-elected tonight. The reason I am posting this here on DZ.com is that she is the Senator that got the New Tennessee State Law passed that makes it illegal for companies like sLyride to advertise in Tennessee without clearly stating their physical location and to have a local phone number that gets forwarded to a call center outside the local calling area.     Nope, You may remember the thread recently about the new Tennessee State Law that makes it illegal for sLyride to advertise without clearly posting their Physical Location on their websites. Well, I'm the guy that worked with the Senator to get that law made and passed. So that being said, Not only am I "anti Skyride", I am "MR Anti-Skyride"!     Good idea, I'll do the same for the Nashville Superspeedway and Memphis. If you change the city name, you will see that they are running the same scam for Memphis, Nashville, and Daytona.     Check this website out. sLyride is also selling gift certs. for race car driving as well as everything else. I called and they tried to tell me it was for the Richard Petty School. Well the problem with that is not only am I a skydiver, I also drive race cars, so i called Petty and as we all pretty well know, the Petty school don't take sLyride's crap, AND they routinely get calls from angry customers that have been told they will be driving racecars at the Petty School Those pictures are officailly licensed NASCAR pics, and they are not even from pics of Bristol Motor Speedway, and the picture just below the menu is Shelly Anderson, Top Fuel Drag racer.     I'm glad you found a place to jump without getting ripped off by sLyride. There are several states that they don't have anyone that will accept their BS gift certificates. They run those same websites all over the country, all you have to do is change the city or state in the domain, and you will see that they are just database driven, PHP websites. Good for you.
