The other day I was stressed and on my 30 minute drive home I had the window down and my hand out. I just felt the wind against my arm and imagined I was in freefall. The air was worm and felt great, by the time I was home I felt a lot better. CSA #699 Muff #3804

I suggest you go masturbate. The experts say it is a great stress reliever. That or wait till lunch and have a couple drinks. That has worked for me If anything close your eyes, take slow deep breaths and visualize one of your most favorite jumps. CSA #699 Muff #3804

If it weren't for my skydiving addiction and my now short attention span for reading and studying, I was planning to major in Herpatology specializing in venomous snakes. Now I'm going to get a business investments degree. Something about six more years of school makes me sick. CSA #699 Muff #3804

I have to agree with everyone about extra leg padding. As for the container are you planning on playing aggressive CReW or just have fun. If you plan on being aggressive a wouldn't recommend a container that has its reserve pilot chute exposed like a racer or talen. But thats just me I want a container that is nearly snag proof so I don't have to worry about a line getting hung up out of my reach. I have an Infinity that I currently use and with the one wrap I have had with it non of his lines got hung up. Q- what is everyones opinion on using a Centarus as a CReW container. I have the opportunity to get a new one cheap with the Lightning 153 I'm getting next week. CSA #699 Muff #3804

What is this world coming to. That extra $2.99 could have bought you a beer. First the price hike on jump tickets and now there taking our beer money for taxes. Were all going to be so broke we will have to start brewing our own since we can no longer a ford to buy it. CSA #699 Muff #3804

See all you had to do was say your a pup and everyone would take care of you. Thats what I love about CReW were our own little screwed up family. As for your shoe question what kinda shoe are you looking for. If it's for CReW I usually wear my converse all stars as there is nothing on them that could snag a line or hurt the canopy. If it weren't for our little friend Roy there never would have been any hijacking. Although he did do most of the talking in your behalf. CSA #699 Muff #3804

Here in Washington state to carry a pocket knife with a blade longer than three inches is considered a concealed weapon. The same is for NY as well. to add- I love my Army issue push button spring opening Benchmade with a tonto blade. CSA #699 Muff #3804

Sounds like fun. Kinda like my first wrap 2 weeks ago. My Hornet 170 and a friends velocity 103. He tried to sit on my canopy. CSA #699 Muff #3804

It is a good place was there myself last weekend. You might even try Snohomish 20 miles north of Seattle. I was asking the same thing on Saturday and told there is a large group of CReW dogs in the area. All you need to do is give them a ring and they will be at the DZ. If you want PM me and I can get a hold of a contact of mine. She will give me a list of all BIG name CReW dogs in the area. CSA #699 Muff #3804

Now that I have internet again. We were both well aware of the risks with the different canopy performances and wing loads. By no means were we being aggressive in anyway we made every move slow and with caution. We both made a move at the same time that could have been done differently. He slowed down as I popped up for him to take the dock not a good thing and I should have gone to front risers when I lost site of his feet. As a result two wrongs equals a wrap. We both knew better and now he has to buy a new free bag. If we had had Lightnings or some other CReW canopy things would have been different. There is always a higher risk when doing CReW and even more so when doing it with high performance canopies and micro lines. Will I do this again with non CReW canopies probably not anytime soon. I decided to have a little fun today and try some CReW with my Hornet 170 and a buddy on his Velocity 103. I almost had a top dock on him but lost my grip. We got into a rap when he tried to top dock me. I came in from behind and hit my rear risers to pop up as I was a little low. Well I didn't see him go into deep brakes as I had passed a bit under him. Next thing I know he is on top my left side and the canopy folds under and an A line rapes around his ankle. His Velocity spun around and hit me then we collided. Luckily the force of us colliding spun me and my canopy around. We separated as did my A line from around his ankle. Only to have out pilot chutes entangle and my buddy getting a line over that quickly put him into a spin. The spin untangled our pilot chutes and I was clear with a good canopy. As for my buddy he had to chop his main and trust his own reserve pack job. I followed his canopy only have it land on an island in the middle of the river. He owes a couple fisherman beer for going out and retrieving it with there boat. In all it was a good jump until the rap then if got fun. CSA #699 Muff #3804

I thank you for your advice, you have given a lot of good information. I have to agree that GL is not as easy as it looks and with 300 jumps you are right I should not just go rushing into this. That is why I have posted to learn what everyone has to say. Again I'm interested and do not plan on going out and to GL anytime soon. You have to learn to crawl before you can run the mile. I will start with learning to kite my canopy for now. Payback462- I to have known people who didn't heed the warnings of others. So read my post again any you will see I'm only interested and have looked to see what is in my area for possibilities. So talk to someone first if you think there getting in over there head before you say F@#% them next time. CSA #699 Muff #3804

I thank you for your info and most of what you said I have already read myself. I never did think about asking someone who paraglides so thinks for bringing that to mind. I can't think of anyone in the area or having seen anyone in my area paragliding or hangliding. Talking to a member of team Xoas this weekend who does ground launching about this subject he said 1.2 -1.5 wing load is good but a wind of about 10 mph is needed to get the canopy up and kiting. A flat gliding canopy is preferred or else you will need to find some steep hills. The area I live we have several hills ranges that are from a couple hundred feet to one thats 3,500 feet. The best part is most of the areas I have looked at have farm roads leading to the tops so no hiking. CSA #699 Muff #3804
