  1. I cracked my protrack how I have no idea. My battery cover has cracked as well. I had planned to send it in for repair but was deployed to the mid east before getting the chance. I was unsure if they would fix it or say buy a new one when it breaks in two. After reading these post I'm sure they will fix my problem and leave a smile on my face. It has been mentioned before of the high purchase price but from the sounds on customer service you will get your moneys worth in the end. CSA #699 Muff #3804
  2. I thank you all for you time and I probably should have asked you first Mar since your the one I would be in CO to see. CSA #699 Muff #3804
  3. I was looking through the list of Colorado DZ's as possible places to hit on my west coast vacation when I return from Iraq and I noticed that the website for Front Range Skydivers has suspended it's operation indefinitely and gives a listing of other DZ's near by. I was just wondering what happened to the DZ it looked like a nice place and yes, I have done a quick forums search but found nothing as to it's closing. CSA #699 Muff #3804
  4. I would love to come do some CReW with you. Now how do I get out of Iraq is the question. Good luck finding a partner. I miss my rotation CReW dogs. I can't wait till this deployment is over. CSA #699 Muff #3804

    email

I'm unable to send email, it keeps saying unable to deliver and I know the address is good. Do I need to have the person listed in my address book? Dropzone.com email is my only lines of como with this person. CSA #699 Muff #3804
  6. I'm not sure what this post is all about since I'm currently stationed in Kuwait in support of Operation Enduring Freedom and have no real access to the news. I can say Very well said statement and I too am proud of all my fellow soldiers. For my 2 cents unless you have served your country or been in a combat zone then you have no room to talk about how thing are. There is a lot of horror in war and thats what the average person only wants to read about. On the flip side there is even more good that most never even hear about. I mean who really wants to read about a soldier giving up his last MRE to feed a starving old person of about the troop who stood watch so a kid could attend school for the first time. The good never makes the headlines only the bad. So the next time hear about what horror a soldier did think about what good they probably have also done. Busting my ASS to protect YOURS! 7. Just wandering since its Veterans Day and all, just how many DZ.commers are deployed overseas. I think there should be a list made up so we know just who in our DZ.com family is fighting to give us the freedom to jump and get drunk every weekend. I know there are a few I have some of there posts. It got me thinking after I received my activation alert this morning. My reserve unit activates Dec. 7 and we report on Dec. 10 to Ft. Lewis, WA to start training before going an unknown location in the sand box. CSA #699 Muff #3804
  8. Thanks all for the info but after today I don't think I need to worry about it now. I received my activation alert this morning. My reserve unit activates Dec. 7 and we report to FT. Lewis, WA on Dec. 10. What a bitch! You have any idea what being activated is going to do to my years jump numbers. CSA #699 Muff #3804
  9. Do you have any recommendations as to a good insurance company. CSA #699 Muff #3804
  10. Its been a while since I've been in the forums and posted so this post may have already been done a million times. My question is I'm a skydiver without any medical insurance like many others. If I were to get hurt while jumping who will cover my medical bills or at least part of the cost? Since I'm a UPSA member am I covered by them or do they just cover property damages? What about my DZ and there insurance. I've turn to the dark side and started doing CReW and I know the risk for injury has now gone way up. I know most insurance companies wont cover skydivers but, are there any that do? I know this has been discussed several times before I just don't feel like doing a search. Scott CSA #699 Muff #3804

    3 stack

I did my first 3 stacks with rotations this weekend. The jumps were great and they were only my 5th & 6th CReW jumps. I successfully on 3 of 4 rotation attempts. The first attempt I sashayed out to far and went a bit low coming back. I had the line right just to low so they broke the 2 stack and redocked on me top and bottom to try again. I tell you what every jump so far has given me an adrenaline rush like it was my first jump all over again. My knees are shaking and heart is pounding after every landing. Thanks for the experience Ken & Vern. CSA #699 Muff #3804
  12. Well its working now. CSA #699 Muff #3804
  13. I'm pretty new to CReW jumping even though I have been around CReW dogs since my first jump. I wont jump without my cypres on because I know that one jump I just may do an over aggressive rotation ending up in a rap and wish to god that I had turned it on. By then its to late. For me the only time I would not turn my cypres on is if I were planning on taking a down plane below 750. I do however always disconnect my RSL. I do it because if there is a rap i want to get away from everything before grabbing silver. CSA #699 Muff #3804

  15. I had 6 great day jumps and 2 incredible night jumps one of which was a great 11 point 2-way from 7.5K. CSA #699 Muff #3804
  16. I would like to say my name is Scott Petersen and I did not do it. I was in another state at the time of the incident and I can prove it. CSA #699 Muff #3804
  17. As of today we have raised nearly 7K towards the screening fees for bone morrow donors. At $50 a screening thats 140 people who could potentially be a bone morrow donor. 140 people think of the lives that could be saved. Just 1 donation of bone morrow can save as many as 10 cancer patients. Remember you can help any little bit will help. Give up a jump and send your $20 jump ticket money today. Check out the sit to learn how. www.leap--of--faith.com CSA #699 Muff #3804
  18. I was looking to purchase a Sabre 2 170 and decided not to after my demo experience. I demoed a Sabre 2 170 and every terminal opening I had resulted in an end cell collapsing after opening causing the canopy to dive and spin . I'm 170lbs. myself so its not underloaded. I tried flat pack, pro pack and even psyecho pack, they all ended up the same. Sub terminal openings were great with no problems. The canopy had less than 100 jumps on it so the lines should have been good. It flew strait so no lines were out of trim. Other than the openings I loved the canopy, it had a nice long soft opening and the responsiveness was great. I would still consider a sabre 2 in the future if I knew I wouldn't have this problem again. CSA #699 Muff #3804

  20. You could do the linked group across the upper back. CSA #699 Muff #3804
  21. I'll be damned if I check my rig it's going as a carry-on with me unless it will keep me from flying . I've seen how they handle luggage I don't want those cock nockers tossing my rig around. They'll probably lose the rest of my checked gear as is. CSA #699 Muff #3804
  22. I have checked both United and Continental web sits for rig info and found Continental allows sport rigs as a carry-on. I couldn't find anything on the United site. I have emailed TSA about this airline and there policy but have not received anything back yet. So who has flown these two airlines and what experience did you have. I'm more concerned with United. Has anyone flown from Spokane, WA or Houston (Bush), TX. Did you any problems with TSA at either airport? CSA #699 Muff #3804
  23. Hey Roy I mentioned to BOB about trying to get a group together and either fly the C206 or Twin-Bo to the Boogie. It will cost an extra couple of bucks but it will save us an 8 hour drive. CSA #699 Muff #3804
  24. How the hell do you get to copy the screen like that I try but nothing works? CSA #699 Muff #3804
