I wasn't aware that they were the largest overall, but figured they were the largest for "productivity" type stuff (i.e. Office)... It seems Apple might be trying to change that with iWork (word processing and presentation software). If the Mac platform gains more popularity in the workplace, virus writters will spend more time attacking OSX or apps that run on the platform (probably starting with MS ones) J All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing. - Edmund Burke -

As a Mac user, I know I am not imune from viruses... the people out there writting viruses are targeting the big bad MS (because they are MS, and it is what the majority of the business world uses), and not spending time on the anti-MS Mac world... as Mac gains more market share, particularly in the business world (if it ever happens), that will change... I just thought it was kinda ironic that MS would sell you an OS with all kinds of holes, then sell you another piece of software to safeguard your system from the holes it knows is there... That would be a great opportunity for a 3rd party to actually do well (win) in a national election. I don't think either of them are electable... The politics and the qualifications questions alone make that kind of race a long shot... then add on that, right or wrong, there are portions of the electorate that are not ready for a woman, or black woman at the head of government. That would probably be the title that they came up with... But the whole idea of another Clinton presidency... Calling Bill Clinton a gentelman is, quite possibly, harder than calling Hillary a lady. Depending on what type of files, you may want to try iWorks ($79)(Word Documents and Power Point files)... I'm not sure if Appleworks will open excel files... Neither of them is a race, one is religion, one is a subset of a religion. Something can be ethical, but also illegal. So yes, torture could be ethical, but it would still be against the law, creating an ethical dilemma... not break the law and avoid the personal consequences, or put a gun to the prisoner's head and gain info that prevents an ambush, and suffer the personal consequesnces (real case). I'm sure the possible uses of the money was a factor in the decision... but the risk was outweighed by the benefits to our allies, as well as our own. Just because it benefitted our interests does not make it egoism. Like I said before, who didn't know he was smuggling? I'm sure there are other countries that made similar decisions... its kinda like selective prosecution, who is the bigger threat to the world, Jordan or Syria? Utlimatley, if the program was being administed and supervised by the UN properly, the sales would not have been possible in the first place. Why don't you guys give this up? It really is a waste of bandwith... Chenny gets his deferred pay no matter how well Halliburton does (short of going out of business, which is unlikey even without governemnt contracts)... I work around Halliburton people all day long, and none of them could give a shit of what the VP wants.
