Have you read reports of North Korean defectors who make it to South Korea? They simply are unable to function in our society. It's marked, and extreme. We are all engines of karma

I've actually done a fair amount of reading on the IPCC AGW report. They are not accounting for water vapor in their reported predictions. Cloud formation is still an unknown, and very important part, of this equation. Likewise, out govt's taxing our economies to death for what will be little to no impact is simply insane. China and India combined account for 1 out of every 2 people in the world who live on $2/day or less. Their socieites' green house gas emissions will dwarf any offset we can produce. While I do no advocate pollution of our planet, Waxman's cap-n-trade bill is insane. What is our government going to do with the money? Pick winners and losers? Time to go with nuclear power, and the sooner, the better. We are all engines of karma

I'm seeing this in several critiques of the IPCC report. Any comments here on this statement? We are all engines of karma

We have a street where people park on the road, alot. a local detective told me the way to deal with it is call the cops and report that an emergency vehicle can't get up the road. I know this only helps with the street problem, but it's one way to put pressure on her to clean up her act. Who wants their kids exposed to that kind of shit? We are all engines of karma

In my world hard work let's me pay my bills, etc. Take care of my family. Without government involvement. There is absolutely no ambiguity there, IMO. We are all engines of karma

There is nothing ambiguous about hard work. There is a relative nature to hard work. These things should be self evident. We are all engines of karma

Not Everything in America has to be for profit
StreetScooby replied to Darius11's topic in Speakers Corner
That's because you continue to learn every day. Most people don't want to do that. Not even our legislators, who don't even seem to read the bills they're voting for. We are all engines of karma -

Here's an interesting graph: Previous 12 Months Volume for Government Securities http://www.dtcc.com/products/cs/gsd_volumegraphs.php The netted transactions each month are about equal to our outstanding government debt. We are all engines of karma
