Oh my, just found some rap I actually kind of like: Insane Clown Posse - Miracles

The Feds actually came into this case. Camera footage from the various stores in that "mall" were used in deeming the action justified. As sad as this case is, for reasons that none of us can understand the civil suits have been allowed to proceed, and they are costly. We are all engines of karma

Thanks for asking the question. Sometimes, you get so far down a path that it's good to revisit it. We are all engines of karma

Just called up the Chief of Detectives. Local LEO will still have jurisdiction over this. I stand corrected. The concerns re: being sued are valid, as in all police operations. Case in point: fatal shooting of Pace student Danroy Henry I know one of the officers involved in this. Even though this police action was deemed justified (the guy tried to run over an officer, and did actually hit him with the car), it has been incredibly costly financially to both the town and the police officers involved. I've had this understanding for a while now. Let me dive into this again, and see what I can come up with in writing. Some of this could be related to LEO concerns about being labeled "racists" and having to deal with lawsuits bought by organizations "implicitly supported" by HUD (as the original organization that sued Andy Spano apparently was). These lawsuits turn out to be enormous drains on town resources. Again, let me see what I can find in writing. We are all engines of karma

For those interested in seeing how this has played out over the years, here is the county website detailing its interactions with HUD: http://homes.westchestergov.com/housing-settlement/press-releases We are all engines of karma

I've been personally involved in every one of Rob's campaigns for County Executive. Known him for years now, and those that are on his staff. I've also lived in my town for ~20 years now. I regularly speak to the Chief of Detectives, and other LEOs (both local, and NYPD). Way beyond that... It is not hype, and it is not a conspiracy theory. It IS a government agency gone out of control. We are all engines of karma

This has been festering for years, now. Lots of conversations, with Rob Astorino, his team, local law enforcement, and others that are well informed. It is mind boggling what HUD is trying to do. We are all engines of karma

Above the local cop's jurisdiction. That is my current understanding. So, they're blaring music? Nothing the local cops can do about it. Stealing in your neighborhood? Nothing the local cops can do about it. And more... We are all engines of karma

Some other salient points to this issue, if HUD has its way. This is my current understanding: 1) Local zoning will be overriden by HUD, at will. 2) No Westchester landlord may use credit checks, or deny section 8 tenants. 3) Local cops may end up not being allowed to deal with tenants who are section 8, where ever they live. Again, HUD is looking to make this their template for the entire country going forward. EDIT - per correction, as discussed below. We are all engines of karma

The intent here is to make people aware of what is happening with Housing and Urban Development (HUD), yet another federal entity that is simply out of control. The previous Westchester County Executive, Andy Spano, took HUD money many years ago and didn't spend it correctly. He should have gone to jail, but instead reached an out of court settlement with HUD that has been imposed on the county taxpayers. Now, HUD is demanding much more than was agreed to in the original settlement. Rob Astorino, current Westchester County Executive and candidate for NY Governor, has been fighting HUD tooth and nail over this. Now, Cuomo (and HUD) have resorted to sending Al Sharpton here to claim that Astorino is a racist. This could not be further from the truth. It's an unbelievable bald ass lie. Keep in mind, that Cuomo used to be a senior member of HUD during the Clinton years. These folks do not have the truth in them. My point - this federal administration is out of control. Keep informed, and stay involved. More background: The 800-Pound HUD Gorilla Latest: Cuomo’s racial-discrimination claims will hurt him in election: GOP sources We are all engines of karma

HUD is using Westchester as an experiment in social engineering, and they have now expanded to Nassau county. Folks need to be aware of this, as this is their template for the entire country. Beware Nassau, et al (May 2, 2014) We are all engines of karma

Yep, their DC3 ran out of gas over McComb, MS flying into Baton Rouge, LA. I was a senior in high school, and that night was the prom. I remember every one debating whether they were going to the prom or to see Skynyrd. I didn't really start listening to them until later that year. And they were all I listened to for about 3 years. Used to know every word to every song. Fantastic music. They lost me at Street Survivors. Wasn't the same band after that, IMO. We are all engines of karma

It was before Murdoch bought it. I had my antenna up for a little while after that, but have since come back to a reasonable comfort zone. Did the political tenor change some? Yes. I've never found it as blatant as say, NYTimes editorials. We are all engines of karma

I learned to track at Lodi during the 80s, and was taught by some of the best around. When I first got a bootie suit, it was a bit of a challenge. If you know how to track, it's not a problem. I, too, see too many younger skydivers today diving away in a track. I'm beginning to understand why all these guys want to break off at 5K... We are all engines of karma

What are your thoughts on Pilatus Porter aircraft?
StreetScooby replied to McDirt's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
I have a few jumps out of a Porter. It can be cramped, but they get to altitude quick. Exit speed can be very slow. I was spotting one once, and I could have sworn we were going backward relative to the ground . For reasons I still cannot understand, every time I stand on the rail, I feel like I'm going to fall off something. It's a ridiculous feeling... We are all engines of karma -
