  4. How about we buy them all TVs, and show them BayWatch? They might actual love us in the end. It would also be alot cheaper. We are all engines of karma
  5. Muslims strap bombs to themselves, and target women and children in shopping areas. Then, claim they're going to heaven because they did something good. That's why I judge them. Then, a non-trivial fraction of the rest of the Muslims claim them as heroes. That's why I judge them. The US military does not target Muslim women and children. We are all engines of karma
  6. You left the quotes off the 10%, and thus have quoted me out of context. Do you deny there is a radical contingent in Islam that fomenting violent dissent on the planet, with the expressed aim of forcing everyone to convert to Islam? I couldn't care less what they believe, if they are peaceful. If they're going around killing people because of what they believe, it becomes a BIG issue. And, what's even worse, they have support within the Muslim community. My opinion of the Muslim religion as practised today isn't that high, I'll be honest. That religion tolerates radicals within their midst far more than they tolerate Muslim dissent or others who aren't Muslim. I continue to see evidence that Islam is not a religion of peace. There are many Muslims who choose not to respect what others believe. Hell, you see them on Al-Jazeera all the time. We are all engines of karma
  7. For an observation to be testable in scientific terms, the experimenter must have control over it. That is where our scientific process "fails" when discussing these topics. Just because our scientific process can't discern it doesn't mean the phenomenon don't exist. Language is a bitch. We are all engines of karma
  8. Thanks for all the replies! I really appreciate it! We are all engines of karma
  9. I'll check it out. Thanks. We are all engines of karma
  10. Now that we've de-WMD'ed him, I think that's a good idea. I'm calling the Pentagon now. We are all engines of karma
  11. A wanker wanks his plonker, or something like that. The Brits thrive on ambiguity, especially in their pronounciations. We are all engines of karma
  12. Are you saying rabies shots don't work? We are all engines of karma
  13. Alot of people on the planet believe in that. And, it doesn't defy the 1st Law of Thermo, in my understanding. We are all engines of karma
  14. No, I don't. But, core constituents in that group do want to be in an all out war. Again, we're fighting with both hands tied behind our backs in those areas. We are all engines of karma
  15. I don't think you'll find any post I've made that said going into Iraq was a great idea. It is what it is. Personally, I believe Rummy and friends thought Iraq did have WMD, and decided to kills two birds with one stone - get rid of the perceived WMD risk, and establish a friendly "salient" in the middle east. 16. So, what would you have done in response to 9/11? And, the Cole? And, the Embassy bombings? And, the prior WTC attacks? We are all engines of karma
  17. Gee, I always thought you were better looking than that We are all engines of karma
  18. God always makes a rainbow. Just because you can't see it, doesn't mean it's not there. We are all engines of karma
  19. Let's get back on thread - we're in a culture clash with radical Muslims. That is my point. These radical Muslims are fomenting violence around the world, not just in their "neighborhood". They're not going to stop. Nor will they be turned out by other Muslims around them. It's a culture clash. And they're fomenting the violence. We are all engines of karma
  20. Why would they choose to? Why would we be in all out war with China? Just because we're in all out war with radical Islamic nations doesn't mean that market-mechanisms wouldn't/couldn't apply in the rest of the world. We are all engines of karma
  21. You left out the quotes, thus, you're quoting me out of context. There is a "bad group" of Muslims fomenting violent dissent on the planet. They are not only operating under protection of the "locals", they're operating with funding from the "globals". Isn't that self evident? We are all engines of karma
