We inherited some kittens recently and one of them is all black and the other is a grey tabby...their names are Smokey and the Bandit.

Thank you for clarifying that for me!

Does anyone currently use/wear liquid eyewear glasses?
regulator replied to regulator's topic in Gear and Rigging
It's hard to have any questions when you have such a detailed post. Thanks so much for your comments. Now with your history of the company and the comments you made, it seems like a dramatic improvement over the Gatorz line. In the next few weeks I'll order me a new pair and let you know. Thanks Paul -
Does anyone currently use/wear liquid eyewear glasses?
regulator replied to regulator's topic in Gear and Rigging
OK, I've been out of jumping for a couple of years and I was wondering about the quality of liquid eyewear glasses. I've personally owned a pair of Gatorz Wraptors and after about two months of use adhesive used to attach the rubber to the inside of the temple began to diminish and after 6 months I had these little straps hanging from the temple area because the adhesive has worn off and the rubber didnt stick anymore (until it was so annoying I pulled the rubber pieces off). Does anyone use any liquid glasses and if so are there any known issues with them or are they better than Gatorz or equivalent because I wear contacts and I like to have a 2nd line of defense in case my Mamba face shield comes open in freefall (not likely, but good to have a backup) Thanks, Paul -
Back to jumping after almost 2 years off
regulator replied to regulator's topic in Introductions and Greets
OK the last time I jumped was in May of 08. I had recently gotten my newly acquired A license. Right after I received my license, I was laid off from my job and was unemployed for around 5 months and it was winter time so I started saving up for a new rig because even if time passes between my jumps, I will always be a skydiver and I knew I wanted my own rig to save on jumps in the future. So I get my rig in pieces (new container, new reserve, new Cypres 2, and Used PD Sabre2 190 main with 170 jumps on it) I take it out to my DZ and get it assembled, and it was rather rainy that week. Two DAYS after I get the rig packed I get laid off AGAIN. This time I get pissed and work two solid months on my house by ripping out all the carpet, re-painting each room and replacing the carpet with laminate flooring. I finished the house including moving 11 yards to dirt to landscape the backyard as well. I am now working a temporary job and the company I applied for has now offered me a full time position. The money is excellent and my shift will be from 5:30 am to 2 PM...plenty of time to miss Houston traffic, and make it to the drop zone on fridays. So once I'm working I promised my wife I would wait 3 months before I started jumping again to catch up on bills, but jumping my new rig is VERY HIGH on my priority list. I'm not back just yet but getting closer every day! Paul -
I personally was seriously hoping he was gonna do some glam rock stuff by like Ratt or Queensryche. He definately wouldve nailed Queensryche.

I personally dont see why Danny with his horrible screeching scream didnt go home last night. He deserved to go home WAAAY before Allison.

I know Pat McGowan has over 13 thousand jumps the last time I spoke to him and that was over 4 years ago! -

I'd soo much rather have a PC in tow than a MAC in tow. You cant see the damn screen very well in freefall!
-
Wait a minute Thanatos! You watch American Idol and you wont watch a chick flick? Its basically the same damn thing!
-
PC in tow...Yep, I'm still a dumbass
regulator replied to lippy's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Well at least it was a PC in tow rather than a MAC in tow. -
How booties are supposed to fit on your feet

Thanks alot for clearing that up sir. -
And probably a paid profession knob slobberer. But who cares he can sing better than Danny (judging from last nights performance). That last note danny had made me want to go on a shooting spree. He sucked THAT bad.

I cant make any comments about the person who is trying to buy your canopy but I just got my first rig and my main is the same size I've been jumping since student status (190). My next statement is this: When I was on student status ALL my instructrors at my DZ informed me of the hazards of downsizing and beat it into my brain that you should take your time downsizing and test jump several canopies before purchasing one. While I think the person that was trying to buy your canopy was well...a dumbass of sorts...at least they didnt lie to you and make up jumps and then you found out later the person was all jacked up from coming in too hot on landing. They couldve easily lied to you and had your old canopy in hand, and hurt themselves if you didnt have the right sense of mind to stop them. Thanks for looking out!

Yeah John can say all this...blah blah blah He's got a hot wife already damnit!

OK OK I guess the only way we can settle this is for YOU to show me YOUR boobs and I'll retract the entire thing.
-
I think that when you live in a soceity where 'sex sells' then you are regulated to think that the ones that are super skinny with huge fake boobs that they are truly the hot ones. Til you go over and talk to them for about 5 minutes and the most impressive thing you can get from the entire conversation is that their favorite color is 'pink' and even though You'd simply love to put it in their ass just once...you'd love it even more if they simply shut the fuck up! Know whats simple? You. Each person on this planet is truly different than all the others. Sure your name might be susan smith and there are tons of other susan smiths in this world but there is only ONE you. Living in this soceity you have to disseminate the good from the bad and read between the lines. The simple fact is this...the world would be a completely different place if there wasnt YOU in it. Love yourselves because there is no greater feeling than loving yourself and DOING what you love doing in return.

Captial One sucks ass!!! Wait til youve had it for a couple of years and rack up some money on it. Then go investigate what youre interest rate just went up to. Oh sure you can pay 650 a month like we were and out of that 650, 400 of it will go to interest alone. Dude get rid of that POS capital one card, unless you like getting ass raped by rediculous interest fees.

How booties are supposed to fit on your feet
regulator replied to regulator's topic in Gear and Rigging
I was just told that vented booties were for larger jumpers that were trying to slow their fallrate. I'm 150 lbs and I fall lightly already.
