    Since I thought I would never be an aunt, I just had to share with all of you! He was born Monday, April 16 and was well over 8 lbs. YIKES!!! His name is Kyan Takahiro. Kyan is African and means "little king". The funny thing is my sister is the caucasian parent and her name is "Yemia", her husband is Japanese and his name is "Mark".     Ya gotta admit it's better than the scam years ago that went something like this: It was reported that people were planting syringes infected with the AIDS virus in the handles of gas pumps. Are you KIDDING me? One of these days there is going to be an outrageous scam that IS true and no one is going to believe it because of all the bogus crap out there!     I am about to fly commercially for the fist time since becoming a skydiver. All this info. is very useful to me. I knew about the cypres card and all, and have been given some advice from a skydiver friend on how to handle it if the subject of opening my reserve comes up. Hopefully there won't be a problem with it as I am anxious to jump at a dz outside my home state

    Bikes are road vehicles, cars need to pass in the separate lane. ***(conversely, if there is a bike path and the bicyclist can't keep up with traffic, then he needs to get his 2 wheels on the path and off the road.) It's quite obnoxious to be behind a cyclist going soooo slow when the speed limit is 65 mph, and there's plenty of shoulder for them to take advantage of!!     flushed apple cores down the toilet at my grandparents' house. My grandfather just poured boiling water down the commode and it took care of the problem.     3 wonderful jumps! The grande finale was an awesome CReW jump with Wendy Faulkner and Walt Appel. Walt and I had tried to do CReW earlier and we are just waaaay out of practice. So Wendy came up with us and made it happen. THANKS WENDY!!! She is too awesome. We even got some awesome video of the jump. THANKS DREW!! It was beautiful, and great to actually be doing CReW after a pretty cold winter (for Texas anyway). Mrs. WaltAppel All things work together for good to them that love God...Romans 8:28

    My sis was visiting from CA around the time of my 31st birthday. She was going to buy me a massage for my B-day, but we got on the subject of phobias because I'm very claustrophobic. Anyway, she asked me if I enjoyed roller coasters and I said yes. Then she asked me if I would like skydiving. My reply was "sure, why not?" So guess what she got me for my birthday instead of a massage? I've never received so much out of a birthday gift. It's amazing how one conversation can change your life forever.     He was good to my kids, but he just had to rub it in that I couldn't jump this weekend. This was the background on their Easter baskets.     "When you know the notes to sing....." I believe one of our greatest skydiving songs came from this movie. The first time I heard Larry Hinson sing it in the plane, I couldn't help but think about the movie. Now everytime I see the movie, I can't help but think about Larry singing in the plane That movie will NEVER be the same.
