  1. I always like to give praise when I receive great customer service and I've found another place that has been an excellent company to deal with. Art Sherry at www.skydivestore.com is great to work with. I've talked to Art several times now on different issues and he is a great resource. He doesn't just sell you something and move on to the next customer. Art takes the time to talk to you about your jumping experiences, your dropzone, etc. Plus he'll tell you some of his stories which I've enjoy hearing. I ordered a Z1 Helmet and a few other items on Tuesday afternoon and they're here on Friday. That's awesome! I also ordered my main from him and can't wait for it to arrive. Thanks Art and Kathy for all your help and I look forward to doing more business with you in the future. 15. I'm not going but some of my friends are. I'm looking at a helmet and a few other things. Is gear normally cheaper at big boogies like this than online? Thanks "You start off your skydiving career with a bag full of luck and an empty bag of experience. The trick is to fill the bag of experience up before your bag of luck runs out."
  16. We were going to do a Horny Gorilla on Jump #27, but we didn't have time to dirt dive it and I didn't feel comfortable going out of the plane without dirt diving it. 17. Mine was last Sunday. I got 4 jumps in and they went as follows: Jump #25: Did my A check dive and passed. I was a licensed skydiver when I landed and my family was there to see it. Jump #26: Rode to altitude with my dad for his 1st tandem. I gave him a hug and bombed out first. It was a blast. Jump #27: Played a game of Simon Says. The other guy won when he did 3 front flips without untucking and held his heading. Jump #28: Did a 3 way hybrid. Me and another friend docked on each others' arms. The 3rd guy held onto our chest straps and did a stand. I could really feel us pick up speed when he did his stand. It was awesome! Waahh

Have you had a chance to play with the phone yet? A couple of my friends picked them up right after they came out. They look cool and what not, but they aren't overly durable compared to normal cell phones. I don't know about porting the number though. Sorry. Edited to add: Sorry I was typing the same time as AggieDave was. "You start off your skydiving career with a bag full of luck and an empty bag of experience. 20. I'm obviously new to the game here so I don't understand all the things that go on, but if that's the case wouldn't/shouldn't the DZO step in and tell they person they aren't allowed to jump there anymore? "You start off your skydiving career with a bag full of luck and an empty bag of experience. The trick is to fill the bag of experience up before your bag of luck runs out."
  21. Are you serious? That makes me sick to my stomach. It's one thing to say, "Person X flies like an idiot if he isn't careful he's going to kill himself." but it's another thing to say, "I'm putting $5 into the pot saying Person X is the next person to die." Does your DZO condone this practice? If so chalk up your home DZ as one place I never want to visit. "You start off your skydiving career with a bag full of luck and an empty bag of experience. 22. I got my A license this weekend. It was a blast and I did 3 more jumps that day. Thanks to all the people at Skydive Kansas, Charlie, Bill, Jen, Turk, Rick, Andrew, Chris, Jason, Dena and all the pilots (order of instructors/coaches who I jumped with) for all your help and support. 24. I saw that in the thread after I posted this. Sorry. That is such a huge thread anyway it can easily be lost or overlooked.
  25. He's getting pretty excited and a little nervous. It's a b-day present for his 60th b-day. Last year we got him some track time at the Richard Petty driving school. He was able to drive a modified race car for 8-12 laps and he had a blast. I don't know what we'll get him next year. Maybe if this weekend goes well a rig.
