  1. Well it wasn't suppose to be here until tomorrow, but it got here today. The reserve isn't with it. Does anyone know if PD drop ships the reserve? I was just getting something off the shelf from PD through Mirage so I didn't know if they would come together. I'll call Ward tomorrow and ask him. Here are some pictures. If all goes well I'll get it packed tomorrow and in the air on Friday. "You start off your skydiving career with a bag full of luck and an empty bag of experience. 5. Well I'm about done with my current job. Sitting in a cube 8 hours a day doesn't work for me. I've always wanted to start my own business but was never really sure, but now I'm ready. I've got funds lined up, but I'm struggling with a few ideas. The area I live in is a college town with roughly 81,000 residents, with an additional 15,000-20,000 college students. The main breakdown in population for the 81,000: 16-24 27,000 25-44 23,000 + College students What are a few ideas of places that would work in a place like this? I was thinking either a: Bar: College kids love to drink Arcade: A little more upscale like a Dave and Buster's Pool Hall I'm running out of ideas. Any help is appreciated. 6. 0:4:1 4 jumps on Saturday, but none on Sunday due to wind. The highlight of the weekend was that I may or may not have buzzed a cloud for 2000 feet. And if I did it would have been my first. 12. It's a fine line. How many times do you call Animal Control before you realize they aren't going to do anything? Maybe the owner will realize the problem and make an effort to fix it or maybe after one too many times of being neglected the dog doesn't make it. PS: I still think his wife should kick her arse. 14. It'd be a shame if somebody came through your neighborhood and rescued the dog and took it to a loving home. Don't you know anyone who wants a dog? Although I'm not suggesting or condoning anything PS: Have your wife kick her arse. "You start off your skydiving career with a bag full of luck and an empty bag of experience. 18. I think what jakee and Peej said are great pieces of advice. I can't explain it, but in the air I feel very content with everything around me. The feeling is almost surreal. For 45 seconds I don't think about anything at all except those 45 seconds in freefall and the canopy ride that ensues. The feelings that jump produces lasts much longer than 45 seconds. When I get down on the ground the people from the load are always yelling, laughing, giving high fives so it makes it easy to stay stoked, but then again I think I would be pumped even if it was only me and a pilot but I enjoy the company on the way down. Why do you jump? Is it solely to fly a wingsuit? If your desire to fly a wingsuit matches the drive you need to accomplish your goal then yes staying in it to fly a wingsuit is worth it. Remember what jakee said I hope you find what you're looking for in skydiving. "You start off your skydiving career with a bag full of luck and an empty bag of experience. 22. Could be. In the bottom hand corner of the screen where it normally has the Explorer symbol and tells what page is opening it says "Error on Page" and the IE symbol is replaced by a yellow triangle with an exclamation point in the middle. If someone will tell me how to do a screen capture I'll put it in. PS: My setting allows all cookies. "You start off your skydiving career with a bag full of luck and an empty bag of experience. 25. I'm a new jumper much like yourself, so take what I say with a grain of salt. I took the suggestion of a couple of my instructors and wrote my wind limit right in the front of my logbook. If I ever consider jumping in higher winds I look at what I wrote down and that keeps me in check. When I first got off of status I would jump in steady winds up to 20mph. I did a few jumps right at the limit and I didn't think it was bad. So I went back to my book scratched out the old number and wrote a new limit and why I was raising it. Now my limit is 23 and this weekend I jumped in 23mph winds and I found out that is my upper limit for sometime. Everything was fine but I wouldn't "feel" comfortable at a higher level. It also depends on if the wind is steady or gusting and what direction the wind is coming from at my DZ. Hope this helps.
