Who else already has a ticket? Come on I know some of you are going to get new ideas of stuff to do on wind holds. "You start off your skydiving career with a bag full of luck and an empty bag of experience. The trick is to fill the bag of experience up before your bag of luck runs out."

Why do people tap the soda can befor they open it.
WatchYourStep replied to freeflychris's topic in The Bonfire
Actually if you tap the sides of the can that will bring the bubble to the top so they can escape when the can is opened. Try this: Shake a can of soda up really well. Tap the top of the can a few times then open it. Now take a can of soda and shake the hell out of it. Tap the sides of the can a few times then open it. Let me know which one works better for you. Andrew- Have you talked to Chris A or Little Joe about BASE jumping? Those guys will be able to give you more information about local jumping then you will be able to get on here. Also are you really going to Bridge Day and jumping as stated on your website? I'll see you on Saturday at the boogie. I'll probably be the only guy jumping a wingsuit so stop by and say hi. Later. Jason- That sucks and I'm sorry to hear it. However for every tool out there that screws you over I'm sure there are a ton of people you help out and they appreciate it. Without people like Ed, Ted, and yourself people like me would have never gotten into wingsuit flying. I did my first flight a few months back and loved it, but I wasn't sure about suit purchases or anything along those lines. I called a ton of people to find a demo with no luck. Luckily I kept trying and Ed (bodypilot1) sent me a suit without ever meeting me. It was his trust in me that allowed me to get back in the air in a wingsuit. Needless to say I purchased the suit, and I'll remember his kindness when I some day own several suits and someone wants to borrow one. So for every d-bag who hoses you there are ten more who greatly appreciate what you do for us. Hopefully these bad apples won't ruin it for the rest of us out there. Remember what goes around comes around. Edit for spelling. "You start off your skydiving career with a bag full of luck and an empty bag of experience. Thanks Randy. I do have the Dreamweaver software but I haven't looked at it yet. In rowing I won't keep many stats per say. For instance if I clicked on Jeremy Struemph from the roster page the following would come up in another window: A picture of me, my weight, height, hometown and short bio The only other things I would track would be the results from races. I may drop you a PM later when I get a chance. "You start off your skydiving career with a bag full of luck and an empty bag of experience. To start let me give you a background so you know where I'm coming from. I work a full time job M-F. I also coach Crew at the University of Kansas. I'm the Head Coach for the Club program. I'd like to get a website up and going to help get our name out and about. Can anyone suggest a program to use (I can learn) to create a website? I'd want the website to contain our roster (click on the name and get a small bio), schedule, history of the team, pictures, results, etc. Nothing too hard. I'll be doing all the updating. I was thinking of just relearning HTML and writing it like that but if anyone else has any suggestions I'm all ears. Thanks "You start off your skydiving career with a bag full of luck and an empty bag of experience. The trick is to fill the bag of experience up before your bag of luck runs out."

Because I wasn't comfy in my position. I cut my arm wings and kept my legs together (maybe I closed them more. Maybe the leg wing wasn't collapsed fully and that started the spin.) Is it ever a bad idea to cut away the wings if you aren't comfy? Could me cutting away my arm wings only caused more problems? "You start off your skydiving career with a bag full of luck and an empty bag of experience. The trick is to fill the bag of experience up before your bag of luck runs out."

Thanks Jarno. I don't think I ever closed my other arm wing. The video helps a lot since I don't have any other wingsuit flyers here. Don't worry I do plan on going to get more coaching in the near future. "You start off your skydiving career with a bag full of luck and an empty bag of experience. 0:12:0 0 humps but I did meet this cool woman so that's a plus. 4 coach jumps 2 two way RWs 2 working on video with tandems 1 freefly jump 1 wingsuit 1 H&P 1 4 way RW So 12 jumps total I had my wing cutaway on my wingsuit jump, but nobody could call me on the case because they had never had one. YES! "You start off your skydiving career with a bag full of luck and an empty bag of experience. The trick is to fill the bag of experience up before your bag of luck runs out."

Thanks. That could be it. Should I collapse the leg wing to barrel roll or not? Should I reopen the leg wing and whichever arm wing was closed at the same time or not? Thanks again. Well this weekend I had my wing cutaway. I have about 15 wingsuit jumps and am jumping a PHI. All of my jumps this far have been getting comfy in the suit. Just flying, no rolls, loops or anything. On this jump I wanted to start trying new stuff. I had a normal exit and went into flight. I decided to try barrel rolls on the ground. After exit I opened up the wings. I then collapsed my leg wing, and then collapsed my right arm wing. I rolled and opened the wing back up. I thought it felt very good. I tried it again and this time I went into a crazy spin when I opened back up. I balled up for a bit and regained control then opened the wings. I was at about 6500-6000 so I decided to try it again. The same thing happened except the spin felt faster. I balled up but knew I was getting close to pull altitude. I decided to chop the arm wings. After I did I opened up my arms and kept the leg wing closed. Got stable quickly and deployed. In the saddle by 3500 so no worries (Sabre 2 loaded at 1.08 to 1). Any ideas why I spun all over the place? I did save the handles so that's good. "You start off your skydiving career with a bag full of luck and an empty bag of experience. Another MovieMaker sound question
WatchYourStep replied to WatchYourStep's topic in Photography and Video
Sorry I'm having trouble even when I read the help section. Here's what I'm trying to do. (This is with MovieMaker by the way.) Video starts listening to people chat. Voices fade music enters. Music fades voices come back in for a few second. Then voices fade and music picks back up where it left off. Is this possible? I use the slide button for the audio but when I play the video back the sound comes from whichever side the slide is at. I know it's a simple fix but I can't get it. Why'd you take them out? "You start off your skydiving career with a bag full of luck and an empty bag of experience. The trick is to fill the bag of experience up before your bag of luck runs out."

I'm sure this post got a lot of attention. I've had my nips pierced for about 7 years now. At times I think about taking them out? Has anyone on here done this? Did your nips remain the same size as when the piercings were in them or did they go down a little. I don't think they'd ever return to original size. Discuss amongst yourselves. Congrats. I turned in my 2 week notice last Wednesday and it was a wonderful feeling. Do you have another job lined up or just getting out and starting to look again? I'm headed to KU to work in the grant department. "You start off your skydiving career with a bag full of luck and an empty bag of experience. 0:6:1 3 wingsuit jumps. Experienced my first flat spin. Balled up and got right out of it. Last jump was a 65 avg. 2 jumps working on video. They were fun. 1 jump doing CRW. Hooked up a two stack and just messed around. "You start off your skydiving career with a bag full of luck and an empty bag of experience.
