Where should I go to jump?
WatchYourStep replied to WatchYourStep's topic in Events & Places to Jump
It's even worse with metal through them. I need to start taping them things down or something. "You start off your skydiving career with a bag full of luck and an empty bag of experience. The trick is to fill the bag of experience up before your bag of luck runs out." -

Cool. Yeah high of 33 on Sunday and a low of 8. Hey at least the plane will climb fast -
Did you do any sports in high school? If so officiate. I've been a wrestling official for the past ten years. I make enough extra cash in those 3-4 months to cover all the jumping I could do in a year plus travel. I will tell you that wrestling officiating pays way more than other officiating from what I've seen. I can make $350-$500 for a two day tourney depending on where it is. I'd love to Troy but I work most of the nights you are going. I think I'm going to head to Z-Hills over those dates. $133-$150 plane fare is just too hard to pass up. You coming up this weekend? I have a tourney on Saturday but should be out Sunday. "You start off your skydiving career with a bag full of luck and an empty bag of experience. 40 is fine with me. I'm from Kansas. It's currently 14 (if you include the windchill) here and the high tomorrow is suppose to be 21 and that doesn't include the windchill. Jumping is going to be cold this weekend. Brrr "You start off your skydiving career with a bag full of luck and an empty bag of experience. Where should I go to jump?
WatchYourStep replied to WatchYourStep's topic in Events & Places to Jump
Well I'm not taking any vacation from work for Christmas so I'm going to take a three day jumping trip in Jan. Where should I go to jump? I'll be flying to the destination on the 21st and returning home on the 24th. I'd like to stay on the DZ so I don't have to get a hotel and am going to try to find a ride to the DZ so I don't have to rent a car. I can get a round trip ticket to Orlando for about $140. What's the weather like in Jan? I guess if I get there and it goes to crap I could always do a tunnel. Arizona and California are about the same ($230+) on airfare. I think Eloy would be the best bet for jumpable weather but if I can save $100 by going to Orlando that's great. California=Elsinore Arizona=Eloy Florida=Z-Hills, Deland, etc. "You start off your skydiving career with a bag full of luck and an empty bag of experience. I like jumping with an open face helmet as well now that I'm trying to learn camera. However it's cold in Kansas and that full face helps (for me anyway) keep me warmer than an open face. The only full face helmet I've jumped is a Z1 and i love it. I've got about 200 on it and I can't complain. It's never come open on me in freefall plus it's easy to open the mask up if you're fogging up when it's really cold out. I get carded without the beard everytime. With the beard it's a 50/50 shot. "You start off your skydiving career with a bag full of luck and an empty bag of experience. The trick is to fill the bag of experience up before your bag of luck runs out."

Skydive Dallas Wing Suits (This weekend)
WatchYourStep replied to WatchYourStep's topic in Wing Suit Flying
I'm going to be at Skydive Dallas on Friday and Saturday. Any other wingsuiters going to be around? I'd love to get some small flocks going. Let me know. 0:7:2 What a weekend. My bday was on Saturday and i spent the day working. However... I did have a gym full of people sing me happy bday, KU beat K-State, Ohio State beat Michigan, I had many drinks on Saturday night (and didn't pay a dime) Made it out to the DZ by 8:30 on Sunday for the 1st load and got seven jumps in. Did a hybrid for my 300th jump and also was on my friend's 700th jump. AWESOME WEEKEND! "You start off your skydiving career with a bag full of luck and an empty bag of experience. Tsk tsk Conundrum was that post directed at me or just a response to the general question. "You start off your skydiving career with a bag full of luck and an empty bag of experience. The trick is to fill the bag of experience up before your bag of luck runs out."

Whoa whoa whoa I didn't say breastfeeding was bad. However I'll probably never do it because...well I'm a guy. I do believe I was raised on the boob...I wonder if that explains why I like tatas. Interesting... "You start off your skydiving career with a bag full of luck and an empty bag of experience. The trick is to fill the bag of experience up before your bag of luck runs out."

I could go both ways on this, but I found this comment entertaining "this most natural and most caring act..." I understand this is a natural and caring act, but so is doing the deed and I don't want to see that on the plane...ok we'll if they're hot I'll watch.
