  1. Now don't go confusing things.....the man in the lack roes and a little white collar will be there soon to re-educate you.....
  2. I have stated before that I could care less what you guys do with guns. Plus, I could care less what your constitution says. Some of the arguments are funny though. Specially when it comes to having your guns to keep your government in check.
  3. eventhough both measurement systems are based on assumptions, the metric system is certainly easier to work with. Everything, be it weight or distance is based on units of ten, that is what makes it easy. The Imperial system is all over the place and requires much more memorizing of units and their inter-relationship. I don't think either one is superior over the other in design. Metric however is much more superior than Imperial in its ease of use.
  4. ahhh, so no dispute, which is also no surprise....
  5. Well dispute it then. Dispute that she claimed Canada sent troops to Vietnam. Dispute that she told the interviewer he was wrong when he countered that Canada never sent troops to Vietnam. Dispute that she said she would get back to the interviewer. Dispute that she never got back to him. Dispute that she subsequently went on Cspan and said that she really meant that Canadians enlisted in the US military at the time to go to vietnam. Dispute that she then called the original interviewer a derogatory name, indicating he would be to stupid to know that. She is a joke. Unfortunately she is somewhat dangerous, since even you, who claims to be somewhat educated and up to date, think she actually knows what she is talking about. It is dangerous on either side of the political spectrum to be so blinded by your belief that you miss the most obvious.
  6. Yeah, that is what I thought....Her claim of Canada sending troops to Vietnam was quite hilarious.
  7. That an ardent and well liked "spokesman" for the right, in a show with the tag "no spin zone" is making up facts and stats as he is going along to support his right wing message and agenda. Never mind Ann Coulter just having no clue what she is talking about.
  8. Yeah, because when you are good, like say O'Reilly, you just make up your facts and figures as you go along to help your point.
  9. Being married to fine Italian/French Canadian woman, I know how true that is
  10. Do catholic women hold a funeral every time they have their period?
  11. Uhmm, yes I was. Never talked about guns in the US on this thread. A pro-gunner used the incident in germany to indicate that murders still happen without a gun. which is very true. I mentioned that the death toll probably would have been higher though if this guy had a gun. Which is probably also true. Nothing about the US, but then it is sometimes hard to understand for people in the US that it really isn't all about them.... No, I never said in this thread that guns should be illegal, just that this guy would probably have done more damage with one. And I know there are things more dangerous than a gun, but that just doesn't have any bearing. Yet you keep responding, you always do....... Yet you keep responding. You have done nothing to dispell the argument that guns would be more efficient at killing people than swords. all you have said is that bombs would be more efficient. But pointing to something more efficient doesn't take away from the first statement.
  12. I was talking about a church in Germany. Focus Ron, focus...... Yes Ron, there are even more efficient and effective tools, but that still doesn't negate the original statement. Just like a full automatic nail gun would be more effective and efficient than the electrical and manual screw driver. But that doesn't change the relationship between the manual and electric screwdriver with regards to efficiency and effectiveness. Again, common sense to us stupid people up here in Canada.
  13. ahhh yes and guns were originally developed for clay shooting purposes.
  14. It is a safe product just as long as you aren't stupid enough to light it and inhale the smoke. See, cigarettes don't cause cancer, it is the stupid people who light them and inhale the smoke that cause cancer.
  15. I agree, some tools are just more effective and efficient than other tools. See with an electric screwdriver you can screw more screw per hour than with the old hand screwdriver. Doesn't take away from the fact you could still use the old fashioned screw driver to get the job done. Fact remains that the electric screw driver is more efficient. Same comparison goes for swords and guns. See, now that is the kind of common sense us stupid people up here in Canada understand.
  16. how about a muslim police officer in Canada or the US refusing to arrest a muslim man for cutting off his son's hand after he had been caught steeling, since it is approved in his religion? Would you support that as well?
  17. Uhmm, what does the WTC have to do with the scenario in Germany. Or the fact that a full automatic weapon would have, in all likelihood, caused more casualties? To the other people, yes dropping a nuclear bomb on the church would have caused more casualties as well. However, that still doesn't take anything from the original statement. He agrees with me that a full automatic weapon would have caused more casualties. He just calls it common sense.
  18. #1 partially true #2 very true as well. Did any of those two points have anything to do with my question or suggestion, NO but then that was to be expected. Suggestion stands, a gun would have, in all likelihood, caused more deaths in the given scenario. Just ask your SF buddies, maybe they'll agree with that one, and report back.......
  19. The question is what the tally would be if this guy had a full automatic with a couple of clips?
  20. Looks like Oleg should be spending more time trying not to get hacked
  21. well said Michele I agree 100%!
  22. Bush doesn't make mistakes. The scary thing isn't that Bush himselve actually believes this. The really scary thing is that his followers really seem to believe that.
  23. ah yes, your founding fathers. So, where is the outrage regarding what your Congress and White House have done in the Shiavo case. Even federal judges are saying that it clearly goes against what the founding fathers intended and clearly goes against your constitution. I am not hearing much of an outrage against that.
  24. I agree, though that has never been done before. They always waited for the man to die. Obviously the advances in medicine in the last couple of decades have seriously altered the scenario. Currently it seems he is making the decision to just stay in his appartment, so that advanced medical care is unlikely.
  25. Looks like the pope's health is deteriorating fast. cnn.com foxnews.com
