Who said all fear is irrational? A belief of future scarcity can be restated as a fear of not being able to find/purchase/get in the future.

Only the black ones according to you

Should Eric Holder stay as Attorney General?
SkyDekker replied to CarpeDiem3's topic in Speakers Corner
Based on your history of cutting and pasting emails to posts without any research or fact checking, we already know that thinking isn't one of you strong suits. Hence, expecting a response with a modicum of though from you is a mistake I won't be making again. -
lol, funny to read in a thread about fear motivated increases in gun purchases.

Should Eric Holder stay as Attorney General?

Very well thought out response. With such intellectual insight, the Republican Party should have no more problems with any future elections. -

The remarks made regarding women, rape and abortion probably did not help this stereo type. Well, you keep telling them that they only vote for Obama cause he is black. Basically telling them they do not have the capacity to think beyond that. War and hate are strong words and I generally don't garee on how they are used. However, it is pretty clear to me that the Republican party did very little in reaching out to women, blacks, or hispanics during this election. It isa party which has historically relied on the old white boys to keep them in power. They are trying to change, but it is going to take quite some time, and some muzzles, before they can shake their "image". -

And some of the "facts" posted here by others leading up to the election. -

And some really like to believe whatever they are told, as long as it is their side of the aisle doing the talking. -
Read in a Canadian newspaper (but provided by AP)that 5 current or former generals have now been reprimanded or investigated for possible misconduct in the past two weeks. Beginning to wonder if there has been a bit of a culture of misconduct.

Yes she should be allowed to buy a gun. She has to defend herself from arab immigrants. -
Who said AG wasn't aware? And it is normal for the White House not to be informed of criminal investigations. Policy was even further explained and stressed during the Bush era. From the NBC Article: Cover up, national security risk, or cover up of a national security risk? All very vague, yet you seem to know exactly what the motivation was.
-
Wow, you know the person's motivation. Impressive. In the end was there a national security issue? Cause it is normal for FBI and DOJ not to brief the White House on criminal investigations.

Likely because it wouldn't cost them less. Store brands are only sold in those particular stores. Which means that submission for eligibility would have to be made for each individual store brand. What do you think the cost differential is associated with verifying 200 brands as opposed to 1 available nationally?
-
Your argument is that because regulations get broken, there should not be regulations?
-
First of, you started this conversation with Food Stamps. WIC is completely seperate from Food Stamps. The direct answer probably has more to do with the following requirement for eligibility (you are aware that manufacturers have to apply for eligibility right?): Lastly, from the WIkipedia Article on WIC and sourced there: Your posts reak of the typical throwing out of talking points without any effort of research or verification.

Well, do you have the plan?

What are the US problems that need to fixed in the next four years?
SkyDekker replied to lawrocket's topic in Speakers Corner
Except that is just isn't that simple. It is our business and it is the government's business. It greatly affects the economy of the country as a whole as well as indicates future government expenditures. As a country you need people to save for their own retirement. What do you think would happen if nobody saved for retirement? You really think it wouldn't become "your business" very quickly? -
Doubt his wife had access to his work email account anywas, so that is a bit of a moot point. He could just as easily have wanted to hide it from his employer. He personalyl answered that question. because it would have been seen as improper for somebody lower on the fopochain to have an extramarital relationship, and he wanted to be held to a higher standard. I am not arguing that his wife definitely knew. Just that there is no evidence to suggest she didn't know, at this point.
-
I'll second that I'll third it.
-
Say who? Lynyrd Skynyrd. It fits....facts aren't really a mainstay of this thread.
-
Assumptions at this point. His wife may have been aware and approved.
