You're missing my point. I think people should have the right to sign up to work in a marginally unsafe environment, so long as the employer is upfront about the risks and safety measures. But Skydekker knows what is best for you. Yo will comply, resistance is futile. Yup, turtle soup is best for you.

Ooh, excellent! "Obama's a girly-man." You guys are good. What else would you expect from a Muslim who beats his children? I think they started the rumour cause Obama and Jay-Z are secretely gay lovers. Obama is further going to be the first openly gay undrafted NBA player, with Jay-Z as his agent. It all makes sense.

Well? It's tomorrow. Yup Washington Post already indicated yesterday they had no such plans. Not sure if people have been following what has beeing going on with Hollande, I think the starting of this rumour has more to do with that than with Obama and Beyonce.

What makes these 4 more special than the thousands killed by Bush invading Iraq under false pretense? So, you're OK with that... If I had to make a choice, I'd take 4 dead over 1,000 dead. I'd take neither over using the dead for politcal purposes.

I don't think that's a very good analogy. A better analogy would be if a worker hired onto an asbestos mine (with safety precautions in place), then later complained that asbestos is too dangerous to work around. Your line of thinking would result in the closure of all dropzones. TM: "You want me jump out of a plane?!? That's unsafe!" DZO: "But that's what you got hired to do." TM: "But my right to a safe and healthy workplace trumps all." Excellent, so with smoking in a restaurant, what safety precautions are there in place for the staff? Would they be allowed ot wear the same respirators as they wear in asbestos mines? Or do you think a waitress might get fired if she showed up to work with one?

That's a cop out, and you know it. Whatever, there's none here qualified/authorized to hold a rational investigation/discussion. Sorry, but I find it absolutely abhorrent that you hold the deaths of some people more important, based on your political leanings. Always amazes me how un-christan you are for a man who likes to talk about his faith so much. You do not know what you are talking about. This topic has nothing to do with Christian faith. And besides, you don't have a dog in this hunt. Yeah yeah death under a D is bad, death under a R is proudly standing for what you believe in and patriotic.

Meh, it all depends....hard to get a job at BET with White Power tattooed on your arms. I allowed visible tatoos on my front line staff until somebody showed up with a nude woman with big tits tatooed on his forearm. In stead of having to deal with judging which tattoo was allowed and which one wasn't, we went back to no visible tattoos.

Yes, including bars and restaurants, assuming that the bar was a smoking bar when the employee was hired. I don't agree. That's like saying an asbestos mine doesn't have to worry about health and safety, cause it was an asbestos mine when the employee got hired. Iron workers don't need fall protection, cause well, they knew what they were getting into when they got hired. Some basic health and safety regulations should be in place. Not purposely being exposed to carcinogens is up there as a pretty basic health and safety workplace rule.

Which regulation caused CVS to stop selling tobacco? (For the record, I think smoking should be allowed on private property with the owner's permission.) Including bars and restaurants? I believe the right to an employees safe and healthy work environment trumps that.

Some rumours floating around that the Washington Post is going to make that allegation tomorrow.... At least according to Pascal Rostain and Le Figaro. Rostain has a bit of a reputation of making outlandish accusations....some of them have even turnded out to be true. Of course, it could be the French media trying to take some pressure off Hollande prior to his visit to the US....

Latest on caffeine is a diuretic. Don't think it is much of an issue to be honest: http://running.competitor.com/2013/10/nutrition/caffeine-is-it-truly-dehydrating_50402 Flat coke is a staple on the ultra and long course triathlon circuit.

Americans: What would it take for you to leave America for good?
SkyDekker replied to wmw999's topic in Speakers Corner
I think most Americans will leave when the money needed to keep the military and defence industries afloat isn't borrowed but fully charged back to society. Capitalists and Communists really are no different. Capitalist wants everything, but wants others to pay for it. Communist wants everything, but wants others to work for it. -
Most people with an IQ above retarded have the ability to understand statements made in general. lol, yes I am sure most are closet alcoholics But you holding that opinion still doesn't disprove what I stated. Unless you now come up with your magical data about all those pot smokers who are doing it for the taste Unless of course you are trying to imply that pot smokers are inherently more honest than those who have a glass of wine with dinner.

lol, you will just automatically argue anything I say. It is kind of cute really. I guess it depends on the size of the puff and the level of THC in the product. Here, I'll give you another one to try and argue with me: I think there are significantly less people who smoke dope for the taste and don't want to get high, than there are people who drink for the taste and don't want to get drunk.

But those lines shift depending on age, development of judgment, experience, maturity. Here - hold my beer and watch This. There are lines I hope to never cross. I have crossed too many lines in the past to say definitively that I am strong enough to not cross others. These things are easy to say when you have not tested your limits...or had them tested for you. This!

DING DING DING, we have a winner. You aint Dutch, you aint much... Or as my old boss used to say: wooden shoes, wooden head, wouldn't listen -
The definition of an alcoholic is some one who has at least 1 drink per day. I've seen sky divers drink like vikings at the DZ after the beer light goes on. I exit stage left when this activity begins. Best- Richard Care to show me where you get this definition? I've heard a lot of different definitions, but "One drink every day" really doesn't fit any I've come across. Most of them include "once you start drinking, you can't stop." Anyone who can have just one drink, and then stop, usually isn't considered one. I have seen it on one of thoise checklist, then when you say yes to more than 2 or 3 of the questions you would be an alcoholic. I have never seen it as the de facto definition of an alcoholic.

Wow, ok. Wow what?? You want to insult me then disprove my math. Given you adjust the topline revenue number but change nothing else in your model. Explain how you cannot get the bottom line number? you cannot, because it cannot be done. its just addition. Of course it can be done. I do it in the example I give above. All I was doing was indicating how it can be misleading or downright false in a scenario with large differences in margin. That model is very usefull when there is a down or upturn in revenue, across the board. The same model is highly incorrect when used to calculate impact of discontinuance of a single produc line, as also provided in my example. If my extremely simple model above with extremely simple math makes no sense to you then I don't know what to say.

Not sure if you could describe Amsterdam as a village. Here is some Amsterdam trivia for you. Amsterdam is the capital of The Netherlands. However Amsterdam lacks something that every other capital in the world has. What is that? -
Wow, ok.
