  1. Two different people two different answers. No wonder people keep saying the science isn't settled.
  2. No analogy required for this question: When would you consider the science to be settled? Lot's of people will say they will wait for the science to be settled. But how would they know it has?
  3. When you stop to consider that "97%" of the climate scientists subscribed to these comments on the web site, it kind of points out the problems using concensus as science. I'm not a denier or an AGW fanatic. I'm just waiting for more than a concensus before I decide the science is settled. This website is a good example of why. Excellent course of action: When would you consider the science to be settled? What would have to happen? I mean you can still find doctors and scientists who will claim that smoking really isn't that bad for you. Do you consider that science settled?
  4. Agreed. Though now that they are easily available in a evacuated area prone to looting/stealing etc. I think it is prudent to remove those from the premises. However, clearly it should have been done properly.
  5. After asking you the following question: You reply with: The answer is: No, you cannot explain it yourself.
  6. Nothing much must have changed for her then. A dinosaur is still being a distraction.
  7. The way I read it was as follows: They had a right to "break into" the houses under the emergency search. If that left the firearms in an unlocked area (illegally stored) they would have had the right to remove them. They then needed to go to a judge to to get a warrant for this seazure after the fact. Obviously they never should have started looking for them. This makes sense to me. If through the legal action of the police or others the firearms in these evacuated homes were left in plain site, it makes sense that they take steps to secure them in such a fashion.
  8. Wednesday night Jon Stewart pointed out that Alabama's anti-foreign-law amendment was passed. Here is the ballot text: Full amendment text: http://ballotpedia.org/Alabama_Foreign_Laws_in_Court,_Amendment_1_(2014),_constitutional_text_changes He went on to point out that Christian law was written in Galilee which, is not in the United States. ETA Jon Stewart Ed show: http://thedailyshow.cc.com/full-episodes/v9pdbk/february-11--2015---colin-firth#time=5m23s&index=0 See, in North America we get that this is Alabama... In the rest of the world, they see this, shake their heads and say: Americans.
  9. Edited to add ***Compiled by populartechnology.net and reproduced here with permission So other than linking to a biased website, can you explain why the 97% is bullshit? So far all you have is (a few studies) saying there is a 97% consensus. Then supposedly a few studies that claim that number isn't correct. What you are doing is not believing certain studies, because you believe other studies. (If you cannot see the irony in this.....) So, can you explain in your words, why this number is bullshit?
  10. Exactly!! Specially since the perception is that it is highly unusual for a prosecutor not to get what he/she wants from the Grand Jury. That happening twice with regards to similar cases requires some transparancy
  11. Do you have science backing this up, or is this an hypothesis/assumption from which you draw conclusions?
  12. sure one can do that if you wish to off handedly dissmiss what is happening TODAY! What is happening today is your previous president convinced your government to go to war in Iraq. This little error has destabalized that country and quite possibly the region, which has led to the creation and rise of ISIS. So, before you start talking about offhandedly dismissing things, why don't you first accept you created this problem. This of course you will now offhandedly dismiss.
  13. Fetish on both sides means I can strike it out...so no just fetish. See math is good policy too.
  14. But the right's desire to control what happens in the bedroom is not a fetish, that is just good policy!
  15. How about this: Anyone who believes in a deity can live in the Middle East and North Africa. They can choose to get along or fight. Those that don't get the rest of the planet. They can choose to get along or fight.
  16. No we need Muslims to deal with them. Otherwise we will just create the next group of radicals. Though I have this feeling that murdering all non-christians would be quite fine with you.
  17. Unless all atheists come out and strongly condemn this man's actions, clearly all atheists believe that muslims in parking disputes should be shot.
  18. "Christian law" being upheld over "American Law" and it is celebrated, while the mere mention of sharia has the same people frothing at the mouth: This is America, they should conform or get the fuck out. Never know whether it is ignorance or just plain stupidity.
  19. The sultanate has been a bit of dictatorship for quite some time. They always had more strict (muslim) laws than neighbouring countries. Brunei announced it would adopt Sharia law back in May 2014 I think. Him not staying in a hotel now is probably the result of him being either too stupid, or too ignorant of what has been going on in Brunei for quite some time.
  20. You wish people would stop attempting to have sane discussion? Now that explains things.
  21. They may brag about it....but it isn't true. And often even if they can, ammunition is hard to come by for them. It isn't as easy to procure an illegal firearm and ammunition in Canada as it is in the US. Simply because there are far less guns and ammunition in circulation.
  22. I think any attempt at a sane discussion on this topic ends right about there.
  23. You have made more than 4,000 posts with either Obama in the title or in the body of the post. But, keep maintaining you have no feelings regarding the man. Even though you posted you hate him and that he is a fucknugget. Keep going dude, you are doing awesome!!!
  24. Nope.... So you are claiming that you don't hate him, because you said you hate him. I am sure in Rushland that makes complete sense. For us mere mortals on this side of the border....it doesn't. Here when somebody says they hate a person, they tend to mean they hate that person. I know, pretty weird.
