  1. And you guys are still murdering each other at a rate not really seen at any other first world country. I mean, you have to go to shit holes to see that type of murder rate. But, keep on celebrating your great accomplishment!!!
  2. Didn't you just argue that the numbers are science and should be taken at face value? If you want that, then the numbers show that gun regulation is effective. Can't be half-pregnant.
  3. So, let's delve into those facts a little more. Gun suicide and homicide continued to rise during that time period. I wonder what could be the difference between an accidental death and a suicide? Well, that is completely up to the discretion of the medical examiner. So, it really isn't quite as simple as just looking at the number. Lastly, the states with the most guns and fewest laws continue to have the most accidental shooting deaths. This might just suggest that gun regulation is effective.
  4. Or it says something about the ability of outside entities to influence domestic elections.
  5. Which is I think quite telling then that the US government has effectively banned government funding to be used for research into gun violence.
  6. So you would be ok with just cutting the umbilical cord and letting the fetus die of their own devices?
  7. You are advocating for the Amsterdam model and for people to just follow the law. Indicating those two are mutually exclusive is not nitpicking, it is a fundamental mistake in your understanding. And I guess it is very disturbing, cause I don't see a joke in here anywhere.
  8. It appears you didn't read the rest of my post. I don't think banning either is good.
  9. No, I was trying to provide information so you wouldn't make a fool out of yourself. This is a prime example of being able to bring a horse to water, but not being able to make it drink.
  10. Agreed. It is hard to argue with people who are for banning abortions while at the same time arguing that banning guns doesn't work. Then there are people who feel that regulating both, combined with education and limits on where they take place is a smarter way to go.
  11. In order to propose that, wouldn't you want an understanding of what laws are actually in place in The Netherlands? Yeah, those activities are actually illegal in The Netherlands. Illegal, but not punished if kept within certain parameters. Hence, if you want to advocate for the "Amsterdam model" in the US, you would actually advocate for people not following the law and for law enforcement not enforcing the law. Yeah, that would be very much unlike Amsterdam.
  12. Except we don't know whats in the agreement. It isn't public. Your President and Mexico's top diplomat are disagreeing about what is in this secret agreement or if it even exists. The Joint Declaration has no penalty clause, it doesn't speak to numbers, nothing. certainly nothing in there that would suggest anything "new".
  13. I would think that for somebody who likes to portray himself as being very concerned about legality and people knowing the law, it is an important distinction. Maybe this whole "why can't people just follow the law" attitude you like to put out there is fake?
  14. Thanks for the link. I don't really see anything new in there. The framework of that was agreed to quite some time ago. The threat of tariffs seems to have gotten a slightly larger troop commitment and an accelerated timeline. Seems like a heavy hand for limited return.
  15. So what new item was agreed to?
  16. Why do you work so hard to maintain the image of American ignorance? Why wouldn't a comment from somebody who has lived a couple of decades in The Netherlands make you do a little bit of reading? Start your research here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cannabis_in_the_Netherlands Read some in the footnotes.Try and not be that American who loudly proclaims he knows things, when he is clearly wrong...by the way amsterdam.info was registered by a company out of Slovakia. Not sure why you'd think that is your best source for the legality of drugs in The Netherlands? Marijuana is not legal in The Netherlands. Do I have to add that Amsterdam is in The Netherlands.....I hope not.
  17. Drugs, including marijuana, are not legal in Amsterdam.
  18. And you think you speak for all or even a majority of conservatives? Rather presumptuous don't you think?
  19. Doubt it. Many of those same people will say publicly they don't agree with Trump but then happily vote for him again. Specially if a female is the opposing candidate.
  20. That's why I specifically put it in a sentence that is blatantly stupid....
  21. Sure, but we all know 1 means winner. So 1 month trumps 60 months.
  22. Clearly that settles the global climate change debate.
  23. Mandate biometric devices on all guns, severe penalties for those with guns without biometric devices.
  24. Women's rights should not be used for theatrical bullshit. Everybody gets a gun, but women can't make decision about their own bodies.
