One of my friends had 2 rats for pets once, Chaos and Mayhem. They were pretty cool, friendly and liked people.

I would think that having a seizure while driving a car could be worse in some cases, considering you'd be more likely to injure and kill other people than in skydiving. But I'd ask your doc if the added body stress from skydiving could be a factor. I've known people who were on the jump plane a few hours after having chemo. Just because you have an illness doesn't mean you stop living.

Shouldn't be a problem. The new dropzone might do an evaluating jump or something though to make sure you know what you're supposed to know.

Our company uses a volunteer staff for hurricanes called "storm troopers" and they get bonus pay for sticking it out through the storm for however many days it lasts. It works pretty well.

Probably your best indication of any steorotype would be movies, since they pretty much feed off of them and promote them. So what movies have BASE in them? Along Came Polly xXx Mission Impossible 2 / random Bond flick Art of War Can't think of any others myself. Though I've seen 2 commercials with BASE in them and they were protrayed better than the skydiving commercials I've seen. I don't know that there's much distinction between skydivers and BASE jumpers to someone who doesn't know anything about the sports. Except that maybe they will have known someone who did a tandem once, so maybe skydiving seems a little more "in reach".

I'll probably end up in the Lakeland or Tampa area. Lakeland is right in the middle of Lake Wales and Z-Hills, but I think Tampa has a better job market. The middle of the state is where all the prime DZs are though. Deland, Zhills, Lakes Wales, Sebastian... so live somewhere in the middle of Florida.

Camera Pigging. A flock of 6 leaves the plane with everyone flying cameras and the person who's in the most shots wins. Bonus props for cool poses, nice backdrops and looking good in flight. The wingsuit community in Florida has been training for this event for years

I work Tues - Sat, so I get Sunday through Tuesday off this weekend.

If "they" are worse in PMs than in the Bonfire I can only imagine how bad it got.

It can really be a concern if you drive your car off of a cliff. Thankfully those of us living in Florida don't have to worry about this.

It's not that they're "cheating" on the other people, after all it's just entry level dating, but it does have a sound basis because you're opening yourself up to meeting as many people as possible. Really Ro, I think you're gonna get flooded at Match just like you got flooded here and it'll probably take a good deal of email chatting to narrow down some dates from that which would work for you. I'm not saying that's bad, it's not like you couldn't spend a half hour a day on it to see if anything comes of it, but you should probably hedge your bets by doing other things too.

This was exactly why my co-worker stopped using the site. He was having to keep up with 3-4 people at once, each in various stages of dating and it was too much work. I think the site even promotes this method of dating.

Maybe everyone assumes you're taken because they couldn't imagine why a girl like you would be single. But anywayz. I've recently used Match and have a friend at work that's used it until a few weeks ago. It is impersonal. It's kind of a PITA to try to figure out anything about anyone from a couple of paragraphs and a few pictures. I honestly never know what to say in the emails... "Um, so you like watching Mc'Gyver, hey me too!!". Bleh. The guy at work stopped using it because he got tired of the game playing he got from people on the site. If you use it, just use it as one tool in your toolbox.

In most States, you don't get unemployment if you were fired for cause either. But saying that opens them up to lawsuits. This is why many places don't "fire" people, they downsize their position.

I actually though it looked good when it was just the small lines(before they started taking off huge chunks). It was a beautiful design. Wonder how it looks all healed up.

The instructors at Miami all follow the same training proceedures and they're very standardized with their training methods, so while you may go from one instructor to another during your training it's nothing to worry about. Greg was the head instructor last time I jumped there, has been an instructor there for years and is one of the better instructors I've met. I'm sure he'll be covering a lot of your training, he always watches out for the students and low time jumpers there, so you'll be in good hands.
