Wow, 4-0. If Germany can beat Argentina 4-0, they can beat anyone. I'll probably go to Konstanz to watch the semis vs. Spain. Enjoy your celebrations this evening.

Henry got away with his hand and qualified your team for this tournament. Maradona got away with the same in 1986, and then he pulled this stroke of genius out of the hat to win it. Suarez didn't get away with his defending hand and got expelled. NOT the same level of cheating. The rules in this sport dictate that if you block a goal with your hand and you're not a goalie, you're out of the game and the other team gets a penalty shot. He did what pretty much ANY player in this world cup would do. And if this block were done by a team you rooted for, I'm sure the complaining would have been conspicuously absent. Ah, so you're just interested in taking jabs at me rather than objectively talking game, which I've tried with you. Still sore about 2006 eh. At least Frenchy's got more class than that. Really???? You call that brilliant????? Of course -- aside from the fact that it cost him an expulsion, he kept Uruguay in the game. He wasn't going to save it with his head, so the last resort was to stick up his hand. Not doing so would have cost Uruguay the game. Instead, they're in the semifinal, albeit that Suarez won't play. What do you think of this? Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.

WOW what a sick finish to Uruguay - Ghana. Suarez made a brilliant move by saving what would have been a death knell by saving the goal with his hand and getting himself expelled at the last second of extra time. Uruguay - Netherlands in semifinal... Viva el futbol! Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.

are you referring to the game called Handegg ? Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.

Try Picasa for Mac...you can also batch rotate photos in this one too, but like iPhoto I think you'll have to import them as well. The "import" thing is there because many of the photo softwares these days are designed around the "album" concept. I don't like it much either, but they get the job done. And yes, you will be able to view the rotated and edited photos outside of iPhoto. Yeah, yeah, some programs ONLY run under Windows . . . that doesn't mean all the people that buy Macs and have to install Windows on them WANT to. I have a Macbook Pro with Snow Leopard and a separate partition for Windows 7. I was skeptical at first but Windows 7 really is a stable and fast operating system (as is Snow Leopard). Even though this was a fine game by any standards, I think you echo the sentiments of most Americans in respect to this sport. And your sentiments are precisely the reason why USA doesn't deserve a world cup let alone a presence in the tournament. I'm sure the people of Ghana will continue celebrating today as they should...second WC in a row that their country bumped USA out of the tournament. Not bad for a nation with 1/10 the population of their opponent. Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.

Exactly...at least Italy didn't qualify by handball and we showed up to practice. At least Italy went out swinging and not out like complete suckers, even though our team sucked and we came in last place as another team in blue did. And I said it before and I will say it again: EVERYBODY DIVES. Sad but true... Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.

Actually that was a goal and a gross miscall, should have been 2-2 at that point. But the call went against Italy so for most people this call is fine regardless of the fact that it was wrong. Anyhow, if you don't like the offsides rule then this sport probably isn't for you. Most Americans want lots of scoring so it's understandable, but this game is far more subtle than that. Without the offsides rule, the game would be full of cherrypicking and longballs to players waiting in the other side's box...no thanks. They did f.ck all as I predicted they would do in this WC. Lippi played personal favorites and brought players that shouldn't have been anywhere near this team (Iaquinta, Pepe, Cannavaro (brilliant in 2006 but out of form for years now), Zambrotta, etc)... I love Italia but I didn't like this team...some of our best players (Cassano, Rossi, Miccoli, Inzaghi, Motta,Brighi, Rannocchia) were left home because the coach simply didn't like them or was too lazy to try integrating some new chemistry into the squad. Lippi was $$$ in 2006 but he's become old and stubborn now. I think France had heaps of talent on this team but if your coach is broken and you don't have a leader like Zidane, this is what happens... Not to mention that these days it's very difficult to repeat WC title. Both France and Italia have better days ahead with new coaches who will try new things. It can only get better... I'll be rooting for Maradona/Messi for the rest of the tourney. Should be interesting to see what happens in the elimination rounds.

Try Vuze as your torrent software, and isohunt as the search engine. Works like a charm for me. Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.

Wow, I think Domenech has to go. As does Lippi. Out with the old, in with the new. Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.

Cameroon 1 Denmark 1 Easily the best half I've seen in this cup yet, lots of occasions on goal for both teams. Eto'o is playing his heart out and I hope he puts more away in the second half. That is the second bizarre reply you have made on this thread. I'm not fluent in turtle and it's too early in the day to drink Jager, so I'm a little slow on the uptake here: Are you saying that SA has not reformed enough for your liking ? ...or are you saying that the reforms have made things worse off than they used to be ? ...or something else ? Depending on which aspects of the country you look at, I think a bit of both is true. ...but what issues are you driving at ? Why bother with a postwhore who can't resist posting whatever irrelevant garbage comes to his mind in a thread about the WC. Enjoy the games instead...must be a beautiful thing to have these matches going on and visitors from all over the world in your country. I'm envious of South Africans these days.
-
Yeah, they completely owned this game. France still has a chance to advance, with Uruguay losing vs Mexico and France winning by at least three goals vs. South Africa in the final group match. Ouch. Funny, that was the first comment of the post-game commentary here, and my thoughts exactly when I saw Henry waving his hand yelling for a call. Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.

I think this cup is either your team's or Spain's to win. Seeing them both in the final would be the match of the millenium... Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.

With the "helping hand" of your man Henry maybe you can make it out of the group stages. Good luck. Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.
