Still a Virgin huh?? Trust me.. We all pay for it. One way or another.. Just some women are a little more honest about what it is gonna cost than others! i remember reading in FHM or something like that, that hookers are FAR cheaper per shag. think how much it costs to take a girl on a few dates etc.... What's the worst injury you've had as a result of drinking?
caspar replied to jumpjunkie2004's topic in The Bonfire
uh got wasted, decided to leap down some stairs. in mid leap my head hit an overhanging ceiling, my legs kept going. i crippled my back and the back of my head on the stairs as i fell to the ground. managed to get up, go to the toilet (where i was heading) only to black out and wake up on the floor (im sure you know what the mens toilets are like in clubs)...yeah i was a pretty sight...oh and i then blacked out again when trying to find my friends in the club, luckily i seemed to have found them and my mate caught me as i falling to the ground with my eyes rolling into the back of my head. if only it was a funny drunken injury instead of a retarded one. various other cuts, scrapes bruises etc. oh, dont know if anyone else knows this phrase but i love it..... U.D.I Unidentified Drunken Injury...for all those times you wake up and go "how the fuck did i get that [insert injury]?!" "When I read about the evils of drinking, I gave up reading." -
totally so i changed that a month ago and kept to it...my life has never been better easy 9.5 out of 10) stopped sleeping 11 hours a day (lazy student), exercised, which then turned to doing well at uni, going to galleries, plays, clubs, dating loads of women, got a job, holidays (got 4 in 6 months booked!) etc SO much fucking energy! fast turning into an alcoholic and loving it at the moment! fuck it life is great, sitting in the house sucks ass. oh and i discovered reading the paper in a cafe, watching the hotties walk past is amazing. i was wondering what everyone thought was the best body position for getting the best distance in tracking... post a diagram (easier to understand than explaining) the pic i posted is the position i go for, seems to do me well, i was wondering if its actually any good? (i know, crappy pic but its the best i can do) "When I read about the evils of drinking, I gave up reading."

High: got wasted until 4am last night and somehow managed to wake up at 9 and spend 4 hours visiting 5 galleries with a raging hangover. Low: remembering what i did/said last night. "When I read about the evils of drinking, I gave up reading."

well i thought id add one of my own stories... one where when i landed all i kept thinking was.. IM A FUCKING DUMBASS. empuria this august, wasnt jumping as much as i wanted because of the weather and the clouds had been rolling in during the day. the cloud base was at roughly 5,500 ft (im comfortable with that). got in the blue porter (which doesnt have GPS as far as i know) with 2 friends - the plan being doing a 3 way way sit, exiting with 2 hanging on the strut and the third jumping out. well on the climb to altitude everyone was looking at eachother nervously, apart from a thin layer at i think around 8,000 it was solid cloud up to 13,000ft (the pilot had to go higher than the 12500 standard just to get above the cloud. the pilot then said, "err, i think this is the right place". i look at the guys nervously and everyone in the plane and think, fuck it, it'll be fine. hanging on the strut with daryl he lets go first, he disappears after about 3 seconds - completely lost. im in sit trying to stay nice and stable worrying about ifan who jumped out straight after me. we were miles apart at pull time (half way through the jump i saw daryl in the thin layer of no cloud, a spec miles away - i dont backslide in sit (anymore) but i think i was because i was looking my legs trying to stay super stable because of ifan above me) and the guys said that the other people on the plane pulled very close to them. to cut a long story short, if we'd jumped out a bit earlier we wouldve of been very close to the sea and not knowing where you are or where anyone else is is damn unnerving to say the least. already learnt my lessons from that jump. ah ok, read the article a while ago. if you can find someone with a subscription to NS. read the whole article about the new drugs theyve made for sleep. really fascinating stuff! shit, everything in new scientist is amazing. "When I read about the evils of drinking, I gave up reading."
-
sorry its modanfil or modafnil, something like that. i read all about it in new scientist, i can find the article on their archives but my subscription just exzpired so you can only read the 1st 2 paragraphs. edit : http://www.newscientist.com/channel/health/mg18925391.300-get-ready-for-24hour-living.html "When I read about the evils of drinking, I gave up reading."

i think the drug is called monovil and i know new generations of this drug are being made where you take the pill which puts you straight into R.E.M sleep. to cut a long story short, you have 3 hours of sleep that regenerates you as much as a normal 8 hours. i told my friend and he just ordered 3months worth! should be interesting watching him after thos e3 months are up "When I read about the evils of drinking, I gave up reading."

im really confused. your profile says you have loads of jumps and time in the sport? i guess you are fucking with everyone. 9 cells all the way. "When I read about the evils of drinking, I gave up reading."

sorry was off to the gym and then went for a cheer up pint with the friends. no she doesnt have any hot friends im sad to say. man, i asked her if we could go for a drink and a chat and she said yeah but after the weekend as her boyfriend is down....it hurts pretty bad knowing the girl i want is shagging some guy as i write this damn post. "When I read about the evils of drinking, I gave up reading."
-
does that honestly work? i assumed that when its over its over, the person who ditched you isnt going to feel that way again about you or would simply avoid getting into that situation. "When I read about the evils of drinking, I gave up reading."

as with everything, its all a bit complicated but basically 9 months. we were fuck buddies, things slowly became more intense and while i was away in empuria jumping and contemplating life (as you do on jumping holidays) i reallised how much i like her etc and came back to the UK thinking, fuck yeah life is sweet, im going to say i want to proper relationship, all the way and figured it was a done deal, a no brainer. the first text i got when back was," hope you had a good time, sorry i have i boyfriend now. hope we can still be friends." seems as usual i totally misinterpreted that one. oh she was also the first girl i ever let myself truly fall for..... getting hurt is just one of those timebombs everyone has that you need to grow. im only 21 so i know it'll be all good, still... "When I read about the evils of drinking, I gave up reading."
-
when it all fucks up and you find yourself trying to get over it what do you do? im keeping myself busy but i just cant stand getting home and sitting on the sofa and thinking....on a positive note, ive never exercised more in my life than i have this week. "When I read about the evils of drinking, I gave up reading."

just a general question (note: not planning to get into BASE (yet) - i just find it all fascinating) you all say minimum x number of jumps, but what about currency. im thinking along the lines of when you go to a DZ and may have to do a refresher if you havent jumped in 3 months and have below x number of jumps. for example, ive got 250 skydives and i wanna base jump! (but thats spread over 4 years and i havent jumped in 6 months) probably a pointless post, gotta do something while at work. "When I read about the evils of drinking, I gave up reading."

cheers for the help. empuria was amazing when the wind died down, i dont know if we met but my friend and i are booking our flights for the xmas boogie tomorrow so i might see you then. cant fucking wait, empuria knocks the shit out of perris in my opinion (the king air did help!)
