  1. Well, given your rather strong opinions about the NEA (as a 'govt agency') "or what ever that education shit house in Washington is....." it seemed apropos. What word would you use? Lets see, since you see the need to keep this going. The next post indicated I used the incorrect acronym which I admitted. (but as far as I am concerned we should not have tax dollars going to either ) Many programs and agencies should be cut off or eliminated. SS is not what was intended. Neither is Medicare, medicade and on and on and on. The States are advertising to get people to come get food stamps for shits sake. (They say they have to advertise because they are not giving enough away and if they cant give it away their budgets will get cut!!?? WTF) I have never said we should not pay taxes nor do I believe that. I do believe we are taxed too high and more money is spent on education and other programs than would not be necessary if these programs would throw out the gov employees or better yet, move it to the private sector. So, your “ASSumptions” are unfounded and ridicules. You have not a clue so you insult (to again take a page from your book) In accordance with all the law west of billvon, (apparently) I will not say you are clueless ....................................................... but, I sincerely question if you would get a clue during the clue mating season in a field full of horny clues if you smeared your body with clue musk and did the clue mating dance.

  3. If we eliminated the NEA, how many days would that money fund the war in Iraq? They have requested 176M for next year, so not even one day of war. So it seems like your mirror is bigger than bill's mirror. A hell of a lot bigger. National Education Association or what ever that education shit house in Washington is..... and what the hell does that matter anyway? The money kelpdiver was referring to was for the National Endowment for the Arts, an independent federal agancy which is partially funded with federal dollars. It's mission is "to enrich our Nation and its diverse cultural heritage by supporting works of artistic excellence, advancing learning in the arts, and strengthening the arts in communities throughout the country." In my view, money well spent in a enlightened culture. As you are not part of that culture, I can understand you taking exception to the money. The National Education Association is a labor union. While you've demonstrated you don't significantly value education either, rest easy in the knowledge they are not federally funded. I understand kelpdiver's error. It's quite difficult to interpret what you post when you, yourself, are clueless. Tried and true PA's I know and understand they are not just for me. They (PA's) are for anyone having the gaul to question a liberals position or opinion After all, conservatives dont know what is right, ah, correct! PA away, I am used to it and being insulted is becoming a badge of honor coming from someone as tolerant as you How did I insult you? If you are going to consistently put forward views critical of public money being spent for anything other than war, police and guns, then OWN it. I apologize if I misinterpreted your views on education but I thought I had a good read on that issue in your "National Education Association or what ever that education shit house in Washington is.....". Even though you are somehow under the impression that it is publically funded, it seemed to pretty sum up your value of education ...well, that and the quality of your posts. As for spending money promoting the music, art, dance or poetry, if I misread your position on this, I sincerely apologize. The gist of my response was in pointed disagreement with your posting about things you seem to know little about and, indeed, was critical of your seemingly driving need to do so, but if it makes you happy to stand in the back of the class yelling "MODS! MODS! PA HERE! PA HERE!" who am I to come between you and your happiness? ----------------------- "O brave new world that has such people in it".

  5. Agreed, and you have shown sound judgment in by not diving in with limited understanding of the science (me too) paraphrasing google searches that agree with your political predisposition. Why some people seem compelled to repetitively embarass themselves in this manner is puzzling. ----------------------- "O brave new world that has such people in it".
  6. I'm trying to figure out why some people pull the race card..... We are just commenting on the difference of two locations in the country. Unless someone feels there might be different cultures. Kinda like how Maine and Georgia have two different cultures. What are the race ratios between the two? I didn't play the race card. I just adjusted the spotlight a bit to better illustrate the one your were trying to be plausibly deniable about. you are assuming Sure, slick. You really put the 'b' back in subtle. ----------------------- "O brave new world that has such people in it".
  7. You lost all credibility regarding having the ability to make a reasonable point right there. If you don't understand the importance of the peer review process, then your understanding whether or not a critique of a peer reviewed study is credible or not is open to doubt. As I understand it, his education is limited to a Masters degree in Google. I suspect he might understand bits and pieces of what he paraphrases. ----------------------- "O brave new world that has such people in it".

  9. The fact that Jim and Bob and Steve and Andy are all beating THEIR wives doesn't mean it's right to beat YOUR wife, too... to use an equally stupid analogy. Rather like whining "Clinton Did It First" whenever your hero does something bad. No, more like whining "But BOOOOOSH does it MORE" when someone points out that YOUR hero is just as guilty of action x. Adults try and see what is happening around them; viewing the ever shifting shades of gray in an attempt to make intelligent decisions. LITTLE BOYS adore their heroes and support them blindly. ----------------------- "O brave new world that has such people in it".
  10. Yep, why don't you grow a pair and say it. "Them there niggers ain't as good as us white folk" I could compare the circumstances and point out that with the recent flooding, people had some advance warning, fairly clear delineation of where the water would rise and time to withdraw to functional places ...places with stuff like electricity, food, and roofs. Helps getting things accomplished, ya know. ...but that's not going to sway your convictions about racial inferiority now is it? ----------------------- "O brave new world that has such people in it".
  11. What is it that you disagree with the most about his political views? He's black, a Muslim, will eat our children and destroy what all god fearing, right thinking white people value. We're gonna be hearing a lot of this type of rubbish as the election gets closer. Sad thing is (as evidenced by the OP) there are people who actually buy it. ----------------------- "O brave new world that has such people in it".
  12. As is Clintons. Look in the mirror lately? You've got the closest thing to a terminal case of BDS as I've ever seen, except maybe THIS guy. How many friends have you driven away over the last several years? I don't even try to debate with you anymore, Jeanne, because the bile and hate that you spew completely drown out the GOOD part of any message you might have. I can't speak for Jeanne, but I feel pain for my country and have bile and hatred for those currently destroying our country from within and those ideologically driven individuals who continue to support them. CDIF is less significant than what is happening NOW and if you could possibly make the leap beyond the rather childish rooting for your team over the other, you just might have a chance to understand the serious damage being done to our great nation by the current rat bastards. You continually want to argue about past rat bastards while Jeanne seem more concerned with the damage being done right now. ----------------------- "O brave new world that has such people in it".
  13. How good of a friend is he, if he's bumping uglies with your girlfriend? Wake the kids and call the neighbors ...I agree! ----------------------- "O brave new world that has such people in it".
  14. I disagree. It takes two people to make a relationship and two people to break a relationship. If she was blissfully happy, there would have been no reason for her to cheat. To hell with the rationalizing ....dump em both. ----------------------- "O brave new world that has such people in it".
  15. OK, in your estimation, what is the percentage of Americans who hold this view and what percentage would you like it to be? [HINT: most people feel the former should be larger than the latter.] Nope, but knowing you does.
  16. It's tough to compare how you with your experience might/should act compared to a lay responder in the same situation. For damn sure if you, with your level of experience, land next to someone that's been busted up you'll be able to do a heck of a lot more than your average lay responder. I doubt you'll argue that getting advanced care there as soon as possible is the best possible scenario, right? In your case you are bringing some of that advanced care with you whereas the best bet for your average person who's taken a few years of CPR is probably to land somewhere they can be sure to be safe and get that advanced care on the way. If I had no training/experience and saw someone in trouble/landing out ...I would follow them and land as close as I safely could. I almost always jump with my cellphone but even if not, I would trust other skydivers to call for help. It's hard to accept that a skydiver (as opposed to a dizzy.com diver) would allow someone to land out alone. The only exception I can see is if someone believes they do not have the skills to safely land out, they should not try. ----------------------- "O brave new world that has such people in it".
  17. Nope. I typically won't land off with them since I don't typically jump with a cellphone either. I would rather land right next to the main hanger, notify people to call EMS while I grab a cellphone and the proper equipment. That way I can get en route to assist properly WHILE properly directing EMS for an accurate and prompt response. Without prompt and proper response for first responders, then someone's life could be lost while you try to John Wayne it. The first responder should have been you, not the trained ambulance crew that shows up 20- 30 minutes later. You would let a brother/sister spin in off the DZ ...ALONE?!?!?!? Laying out there, bleeding, not breathing, scared silly and in pain ...ALONE? spoken like a first aid whuffo. The first thing that should always be done is to contact emergency services and get them on their way. Hanging with the person who is possibly dying, with no way to help them, or getting the needed equipment on hand that would actually save them......yeah, big decision. Don't be asinine. What's not so important is I majored in pre-med and worked as an EMT at a Level I trauma center for three and a half years. What is important is I will not let my brother/sister land out alone. You may be the type of person that would (your choice) ...I'm not. Whether I can provide timely intervention with twigs, a pullup cord and a pocket knife or just be there to hold and comfort them, I'm gong to land as close to them as I safely can and provide what help I can. And that's all I got to say about that. ----------------------- "O brave new world that has such people in it".

  19. No, but my sense of humor still works. I'm sorry that you're having difficulty with yours. I'm certain it doesn't apply to you, but as the election approaches, the 'patriots' will grace us with lots of gentle 'humor' essentially because they are not really allowed to scream ..."NO FUCKIN WAY MY AMERICA IS GONNA HAVE A NIGGER IN THE WHITEHOUSE"!!! ----------------------- "O brave new world that has such people in it".

Figurative backflips and literal tears of joy! However, when I delivered the good news he would have a replacement in about two weeks, the tragic look of an eight year old preparing to face eternity was hilarious. ----------------------- "O brave new world that has such people in it".
