I resisted the gas fireplace for a long time. But, the new gas logs look real and turn the switch, throw the match and poof. Plus it burns mucho cleaner. Course, every time I light the gas logs, I feel like doing the Tom Hanks Castaway bit, "I made FIRE!!"

I want the attachments enabled so I can send the link. But, yes... I fiddled with that too.

Recently installed MSIE 6.0 w/XP sp1.02 and Outlook 2002 on XP. While in MSIE, I click on Mail>Send a Link... Outlook spawns an email and embedded in the header is "This message has not been sent. Outlook blocked access to the following potentially unsafe attachments: www.google.url. I've F1'd, Googled and learned a lot about Outlook L1, L2 security, but no instruction on how to disable this. Any thoughts?

I'm confused. An OC-48 is 2.4Gbps, but your download window says 2 hours, 24 minutes, 7 seconds. Are ya sitting on the wrong one?

More directly, it means: "We don't necessarily agree, disagree or even understand... But, we gonna do it anyway." Hooah! edited to add: This reminded me of a funny story. When I was a Master Sergeant, a young spanky high-speed Lt. was assigned as XO to our team (ticket-punch!). One time, he gave me a task and then said, "Hooah, Sergeant?" As he was turning away I said, "No sir." He stopped and his head snapped back in my direction, poised to do verbal battle - young buck vs.old buck and said, "Excuse me, Sergeant?" I responded, "Sir, Hooah is not a statement of question, it is a statement of affirmation. In the future you tell me what needs to be done and when it needs to be done by. Unless your order is unlawful or I think the lieutenant is about to shit on his career - my response is then a loud and thunderous; Hooah! Any questions, sir?" His face was priceless . He wasn't sure if he should respond with a Hooah or not. The team fell out laughing their asses off. He looked at them and then I said, "Welcome to the team, Sir!"

Mine too, Jeanne. Mine too.

An inflatable deceleration system for Mars atmospheric entry. The generic vehicle geometry consisted of an inflatable torus supporting the edge of a flexible-fabric conical surface skirting a cylindrical cargo vessel. Two configurations were analyzed; one with the fabric cone in an undeformed conical shape, and one with the fabric surface deformed in response to the aerodynamic forces. The flow field was predicted for various angles of attack at a Mach number of 2.5 in the Martian atmosphere.

Well, this conservative is a "Centrist." Over the years, both Republicans and Democrats have polarized both parties to the far reaches of right and left. The old one-dimensional categories of "right" and "left," established for the seating arrangement of the French National Assembly of 1789, are overly simplistic for today's complex political landscape. It's time for a new young group of politicals to step up and help change the landscape.

Taylor > tailor > one who sews > rigger > one who skydives > dog's SD name the long way

I did -downloaded the latest update. Course, you creative young bastards will figure out a way to XOR (pronounced - whore ) around my pc, despite the firewalls, the wep's, the spamkillers, antiviruses, etc. Things have come a long way since NT4.0. Jeez, I hated being a SysAdmin in them days. I may just buy the rights to setup a WiFi here in town.

Well, I decided to upgrade my skills since getting out of I.T. a couple of years ago. I bought a couple of eMachines with 2.5 gHz Celerons, a couple of new monitors, An MS 802.11b base station for the server and an MS wireless adapter for the client. I pushed all my my files to a webserver. Installed the two machines, configured them with all the Office Software, Frontpage, CuteFTP, etc. installed the software for the wireless base & adapter (did you know the software gets installed before the hardare on a wireless network? - that was different). Punched it up and the network runs like a charm. Total time = 4 hours - from purchase to installed, to configured, to up & running. Total Cost: $1,497.00!!! We've come a long way since I built a 386 SX 25 for grad school nine years ago. Cost....$2300.00!!! It is a great time to be alive during this information age. Oh yeah... Don't beat me up about the eMachines... I know they're clone throw aways, but I busted open several machines including Gateways (a friend works there), HP's Compaqs and they all get the motherboard and components from the same folks. The case, CPU, ram, et.al... $399.00 (without monitor). And.... XP is the shits. When I was sharing the printer over the wireless for the client... it wnet and searched the server for the printer driver... pulled the driver from the server and installed it on the client..... WOO WOOO!! I'm buyin beer!!

Congrats Marines!! Happy Veteran's day too!!

Either suit can be modified to increase or reduce drag. The RW suit with booties gives greater control for steering and drive on the horizontal plane. Booties are not necessary (and are actually an inhibitor) on the vertical plane.

You've come a long way in a short time, Kevin. I remember you testing the Birdman suit at WFFC the day after we met and now you are one. Most excellent. Big Guys can fly.

Its also my understanding that Jessica is no longer in the military, but Ms. Johnson is. Usually, disability compensation is not determined while in the military as she has medical care and receives her check. Prior to leaving, Ms. Johnson will go before a medical review board to determine (if any) the amount of disability she receives. I would venture to say, that when the time cones, she'd receive as much as Jessica. If for no other reason than the military is being very and overly PC right now.

I'm with Ryan on this. You can buy some foam pipe insulation covers at your local hardware store for just a few bucks. Old torn up T-shirts would work too.

As a former soldier, I acknowledge the accomplishments of Jimmy Stewart (another one of my heroes), who stayed in the military after WWII and retired as a Full Bird Colonel. If I remember correctly, it wasn't that John Wayne opted to not serve during WWII - he was turned down for military service from a blown out knee from his football days.

"Well, son. If you ain't gonna respect your elders, you're damn sure gonna respect your betters."

Or just arch a little more. Read above...
-
Its just a guideline. It helps when working with students of varying sizes and how to dress for success. In most cases, those that are lighter and experienced can adapt easier getting down to a formation by arching a little harder. Getting back up is a biotch. And yes, you should probably eat some more pizza and drink more beer.

Hey guys... I couldn't help but jump in here. I've been jumping off & on for 23 years. I'm 6'6" tall and am 235 butt naked - exit weight around 260# My fall range is 107-121 MPH depending on the situation. There are some things you can do to help here. 1. For those hard openings. You can roll the nose two-four times and stuff them in the center cells. IF you're still jumping student gear, they probably won't let you do that... so once off student status, get your own gear as soon as possible. IN addition, a larger slider will constrain the opening and slow it down (note: don't combine rolling the nose and a larger slider at the same time). Work with your canopy manufacturer and rigger to come up with some solutions and a test jump plan when you amke any changes. 2. FliteSuit makes an RW suit for Anvils. You can have it made with up to a 10" wing. The wing has a ZP liner in it, which captures the air and slows you down. Flying in the mantis position, I'm able to extend my elbows tightening the ZP material in my wing and slow down to 107 mph easily. 3. Now, if you're a fireplug body shape (6' or under) and weigh over 230, you're going to have to lose some weight. I don't care if you're built like schwarzegger, that mucle is heavier than fat and increase your density, which makes you fall faster - but you know this. IF you want to be taken seriously or get on some serious RW, bring it down. Here's how it works... you want to get to a weight that is as closest to the factor of; .03 Take your height in inches and divide by your exit weight. For example, I'm 78 inches and exiting at 265. 78/260 = .03 If that number is greater than .03, (i.e. .04) then slicking down and/or weights will be required. If that number is lower than .03 (i.e., .026), then you've got to lighten and/or baggy up. It may require a combination of losing weight and getting a suit to help. That's your goal. If you intend on doing solo's or being below the formation your whole skydiving career, then do nothing. If you're below the formation a lot, you're going to quit getting invited. It may be about slowing your opening down now, but later, its going to be about much more. Hope that helps...
