With the touch pad set properly it is pretty damned fast. I have arthritis and it is not a pain for me. I was only asking because some models of computers seem to have inherent faults, I have not owned or worked on a Vaio before.
-
I fixed it, it was set wrong plus the virus scan found something, geez did Sony do a nice job or what? It was hard to get to the control panel and settings with a touch pad working properly. Yes I know about the USB mouse trick, when I go to school I don't want to be lugging crap with me.

Hey, what in the hell would you know anyways copper! The worst scenario for an intruder is to break in and go down a dark hallway, to find an old veteran and his rifle giggling and using cover. [old man voice] that's it you little fuck face, a little closer...[/end old man voice]

When you are ready for the Grendel just tell me.

I just got it back and the touch pad now can move the pointer but double tap does not work. What the hell is going on? It worked for about 20 minutes and then nothing.

lol! I was just thinking a simple ad on eBay would be a lot easier than working! I won't comment on the shoe store, and my "goods" are not available for public viewing!
-
Batting for the other team eh?
-
Don't worry I am sure there are quite a few guys that will offer to help you out with some cash, but bring baby wipes and condoms. Seriously, you had obviously not thought this one through.

Show us your goods, or get a second job at the shoe store!

Just remember to always visually check the chamber even after working the action to clear it. It is amazing how many people put a small hole in their TV set.

Anyone Else Excited About Hunting This Fall/Winter?
warpedskydiver replied to warpedskydiver's topic in Speakers Corner
It is the entire experience that I enjoy, being in the woods, tracking, weather, obstacles, using my skills, teaching others Just withstanding Rainbo's farts in the hunting blind can be a challenge. I have found that for someone 48years old I can still hold my breath a loooooooooong time! That boy has me beat! -
Actually a gun affords you the ability to just back away or get out of the situation without much fear of an attack ensuing. It should never make you more bold, only more cognizant of the power that you wield. I have seen this many more times than I can recall.

Nor am I.

When I was 10 I was allowed to have access to the firearms in our home, ammunition was right with them. I was taught firearms safety starting at 4yrs old and how to shoot starting then as well. We all knew that guns will destroy something if we are careless, just as easily as if we meant to do it. There was an old Mauser with scope and heavy bbl, a few shotguns, 22lr rifles, M1917 Browning, M3A1, and an original Springfield sniper rifle with quite a bit of wear on the furniture and finish from WWII. Plus my father would have actually killed any of us for doing something that bad.

Skydiver survives a 10,000 foot drop???
warpedskydiver replied to npgraphicdesign's topic in The Bonfire
At least three airmen survived free falls of around 20,000 ft (6,000 m) without a parachute in the Second World War; Lt. I.M. Chisov was a Russian bomber pilot, Sgt. Alan Magee was an American gunner on a B-17, and Sgt. Nicholas Alkemade was a British gunner on a Lancaster bomber. It is estimated that a person free falling in the "box" position reaches a terminal velocity of around 120 mph (200 km/h) after a fall of just 1,000 ft (300 m), so the additional 19,000 ft (5,700 m) doesn't make these falls that much more dangerous, apart from the lack of oxygen at high altitude. All three men lost consciousness during their falls, and two of them landed on terrain covered in deep snow, which was probably a significant factor in the survivability of the falls. Vesna Vuloviæ, a flight attendant from Yugoslavia, survived a fall from 10,160 m (33,330 ft) when the DC-9 airplane she was traveling in blew up over Srbská Kamenice, Czechoslovakia, on January 26, 1972. She remained strapped into her flight attendant's seat in the tail section of the plane, which remained attached to the washrooms. The assembly struck the snow-covered flank of a mountain. A terrorist bomb was thought to be the cause. Vuloviæ broke both legs and was temporarily paralyzed from the waist down. No other passengers survived. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vesna_Vulovic -

Damn that is early, I bet the meat would spoil very fast around then. I know that it must be like Texas, carry huge cooler with ice in the truck. Are there still ticks on them this early? I would think so. South Carolina must have some nice hog hunting as well. mmmmmmm pork! -
Hey, I like Mark, he is a good guy. He used a Grendel to drop a really nice Bull Elk. 405yds with one shot, the brake on that rifle was a WCI. I think he kept that rifle. I am pretty sure he is going to be making rifles in 6.5 Grendel.

The additional advantage this rail has is that even on a 14.5" BBL you get the sight radius of a 20" bbl

It is really cool outside right now and fall is approaching, the air is clear and crisp and I can smell all the leaves and late season flowers. Deer hunting season is nearly upon us. -
Nothing wrong at all with a LaRue rail. If it is the monolithic upper there can be no changes made. This tube has a quick attach and detach mode via the three allen screws, it only takes one of them to prevent any person from pulling it off. The bbl nut being 2" long and hardened means that BUIS will not budge or anything else placed upon the rails. The receiver and top rail can actually be bridges without worry, remember that it used to take an ARMS to cover both and make it rigid enough. That is why LaRue made the monolithic and well as COLT with the IAR. The swivel holes are QD and the Bipod mount is already tapped for a QD or a stud. The gas tube is in that top I beam area/rail and there is enough room with the steel block in the read for a gas tube with a 0.875" low pro gas block. With the optional rear steel block you can use up to a 0.950" dia gas block and still clear the tube in the rear. Dave your rail is good enough, however some are lacking. I would replace a DD with this, MI and YHM are good enough, but not as good as this by any means.

Or maybe Vortex can get you a little trip to Hereford. Maybe you could give a few tips on skydiving in exchange.
-
If you ever get to SDC let me know and I will take you to our range and let you shoot anything you like. *(firearms wise, not certain posters)
-
That and that it does not touch the bbl so the harmonics remain the same shot after shot Your grip and the amount of things mounted on it changes nothing at all for accuracy. A shooting glove is not needed. Cooling is improved by a vast amount. That is a huge help.

A flight attendant survived a 33k foot fall with no rig.
